Chapter 2735: Disappeared

“What is this uneasy feeling? Is it fear?” The God of Mischief Loki thought as he now felt the danger that is before him.

He did not even notice the demon suddenly appearing in the sanctum but the appearance of a Valkyrie chosen by the Goddess Freyja also adds to his concern. He already got what he wanted and that is to kill the Great Star Gazer even though he originally wanted a seer that he could turn into a puppet. He thought that he could easily get away because that is what he is known for but these two mortal beings before him are actually pinning him down.

“I thought that I could escape but how did that Valkyrie learn the way to dispel divine energy. She managed to even time it perfectly with my magic. It must be that damned Freyja’s aid as she is also a goddess of magic.

I cannot even escape now because that demon has taken over the space itself. This sanctum is now under his control with nowhere for me to even escape. Even the exit has been blocked by him with his own magic and this eerie energy that can kill me. I cannot stay here any longer but must I use my own secrets now when I need it later?” The God of Mischief Loki thought as his clones fought against the beings summoned by the demon.

The God of Mischief Loki is actually in a state of perfect invisibility that will wear off in a minute. All of the clones he created does have the same power as him but the prowess of each is not the same. Still, the clones that he created is enough to go against powerful soulbounds that can deal with demigods. Each of his clones still have the power of lesser god but that is not enough to secure him victory as it is just enough to buy him time.

The God of Mischief Loki thought that he can just brute force it and kill either the Valkyrie or the demon. If he focused on just one of them then he would be able to escape easily. The best bet would be dealing with the demon first as his death would mean the space would be unsealed. The only problem is that the God of Mischief Loki could feel a monster lurking just around the demon waiting to strike if anyone gets close.

“I will deal with the Valkyrie using my own daggers by poisoning her first. I would then deal with the demon with that artifact that I got. To think that I will use such a thing against an Arch Demon and not even a Noblesse.

He was the intended target before but now that those elder demons have become Noblesse… I need to eliminate this threat first. Since I learned that he is well-loved by those old demons, sending him to a place to disappear would confuse them as well.” The God of Mischief Loki thought as he now changed his approach but the Valkyrie is suddenly shrouded in nether mist.

The God of Mischief Loki thought that he could easily deal with the Valkyrie but she is suddenly empowered by this strange mist that covered the sanctum. A powerful mist that can destroy divine energy but the powers of the Goddess Freyja was not even erased when her vessel got empowered by it. The God of Mischief Loki immediately knew that he had no other choice because the demon before him could easily overturn everything.

“I can feel that trickster. He is hiding! There!” Frey shouted as her divine sense increased even more when Adrian imbued her with nether energy.

Frey immediately charged towards the location of the invisible God of Mischief Loki. She landed and created a powerful blast of divine and nether energy in the shape of a large emerging wolf. The God of Mischief Loki thought that he would be able to dodge easily but he actually got blasted away and injured heavily.

“Blood! I am actually injured!” The God of Mischief Loki muttered as he could not believe that he suddenly got injured on his head.

Golden blood dripped down from the small wound that was inflicted on the God of Mischief Loki. The god that got injured could not believe that he is now injured because even a direct hit from the God of Thunder Thor’s weapon will not be able to make him bleed. He immediately knew that this eerie energy that came from the demon is the culprit.

“Surrender now and maybe we will spare you.” Adrian stated but Frey actually argued with him.

“He is too much of troublesome being to let live. You will not get information out of him because he is bound by oath to never betray Odin. He cannot harm Odin nor say anything that can induce pain on that old god king.” Frey stated as she knew the restrictions placed on the God of Mischief Loki by the God King Odin.

“You do not even give honorifics to that old coot. It seems that there is no longer any respect for your former boss.” The God of Mischief Loki stated as he stood up.

Frey did not waste any more time as she charged once again towards the God of Mischief Loki. She is there to finish the job as landing a direct attack on a god’s soul and body will kill them. She is also confident that her attack will be able to kill the God of Mischief Loki because she knows the effects of nether energy. Even the Goddess Freyja warned her to never make an enemy of Adrian because he has full authority to kill even gods because he has nether energy.

“Serpent Fang!” The God of Mischief Loki shouted as he released one of his own abilities and not spells.

Two serpent silhouettes suddenly coiled around his arms and he used that very power to deflect the attack that Frey launched. Adrian then followed it up by releasing Dark Matter but the God of Mischief Loki actually released another clone to tank the ability that can stun. Adrian wanted to have his soulbounds pounce at the God of Mischief Loki but they were still fighting against the clones.

“He is stronger than he looks.” Adrian stated as he genuinely means it before vanishing.

The God of Mischief Loki immediately noticed that the demon vanished but the Valkyrie has yet to be stopped. Frey charged once again but she used everything at her disposal. She threw her spear first towards the God of Mischief Loki but the latter actually deflected it. The God of Mischief Loki did get damaged just from the act of deflecting the spear launched at him and it also made him wince in pain.

Frey then followed up the defenseless God of Mischief Loki with attacks using her increased range. Frey blasted the God of Mischief Loki with energy blasts of divine and nether energy. This would be nice if the God of Mischief Loki was not good at evasion. She even retrieved her spear and created piercing energy blasts but the God of Mischief Loki is more slippery than an eel.

Frey did notice that the God of Mischief Loki became serious and focused more on the defensive. She knew that the enemy before him is like that because the God of Mischief Loki cannot detect Adrian at all. He is making sure that he could create a clone that will soak up the damage for him. Still, the God of Mischief Loki actually felt that his life could actually end. Frey made use of this distraction to actually create a moment of weakness for the God of Mischief Loki which Adrian immediately grabbed.

“Universal Threat.” Adrian muttered as he appeared behind the real God of Mischief Loki with his scythe inches away from the latter’s neck.

The God of Mischief Loki thought that he could evade the strike but his own divine artifact manifested before him. Time actually became slow with just Adrian’s weapon being an inch away from decapitating the God of Mischief Loki. The reason why the God of Mischief Loki’s divine artifact called Trickster’s Story manifested is due to the fact that he will die.

The special divine artifact Trickster Story is a powerful divine artifact that can rewrite the God of Mischief Loki’s fate three times. He already used it once when he changed his destiny to become sworn brothers with the God King Odin. It also placed restrictions on him that he cannot harm the God King Odin at any cost. He then used the second one towards the Beast of Ogdoad for his grand plan and he plans to use the last.

“I cannot die here! I will live! I do not care what happens to me as long as I live.” The God of Mischief Loki muttered as he changed his fate once again and made the threat behind him disappear.
