Chapter 2746: War in the Northern Continent II

“Did you think a demigod level being can hold off a god!?” The God King Odin stated as his entire body suddenly glowed in a dark golden purple light and the restraints on time and space shattered.

The God King Odin then proceeded to release a spell that created numerous ravenlike projectiles to strike at Elder Ascalor. The ravenlike projectiles were all absorbed by a rift that Elder Ascalor created and then redirected towards the God King Odin. In the end, the God King Odin is damaged by his own spell but it was so minimal as if he has supreme magical defense. Still, the God King Odin immediately knew that projectile type attacks will never work against the demon he is facing right now.

“What were you saying arrogant god?” Elder Ascalor stated as he smirked and then proceeded to summon more meteors to rain on Asgard.

“Demons! Show them what it means to be called Beings of Destruction! Destroy the kingdom of pillaged gold!” Elder Ascalor commanded as all of the demons that came out of the rift created magic circles and also summoned a meteor each.

The other Daemos are not on the same level as Elder Ascalor that can summon numerous meteors but they can at least call upon one at a time. The vast expanse of space has lots of meteors to pull from which is why the barrage on Asgard continued. Elder Ascalor did not need to have a full-on battle with the God King Odin because they are here to destroy a kingdom and not to kill the enemies entirely.

The God King Odin became angry at the fact that a demigod level being was ignoring him but he cannot voice it out as they were the ones that started it. They were given a chance to permanently be placed in the northern continent when the Daemos asked them to seal the rift. There was a chance that the Asgardian gods will never be able to ascend to their divine realms fully but they were given a chance at permanent descent in the mortal realm.

The warning the Daemos gave is due to the fact that the large rift above them is damaging the world barrier. If the rift above Asgard is closed then the Daemos would not have any problem with the Asgardian gods whatsoever. The problem is that the Asgardian gods were too greedy for their own good. They would have just suffered some damage from the retaliation for the warning but one of their own used a forbidden relic.

A relic that can call upon a Void creature is unilaterally agreed upon by the gods to be never used. That is one of the agreements presented before the gods by the Daemos for their non-interference. Now that the Asgardian gods used a forbidden relic, they are now considered as beings to be cleansed. It has been centuries since this cleansing last happened to the point that the last instance of it has been buried in history.

[The Faction of War led by the God of War Ares has joined the battle against the Asgardian Faction as they were just waiting for the plausibility of war.]

[The Faction of Justice led by the Goddess of Justice and Vengeance Nemesis has joined the battle against the Asgardian Faction for the breach of agreement.]

The God King Odin was still confident as he struck down the meteors raining down on Asgard but his face contorted when two godly factions suddenly entered the war. The God King Odin made sure to never touch and also instructed his subordinate gods to not antagonize other factions. The fact that the Faction of War and the Faction of Justice has descended to the battlefield is something not in his calculations.

“WHAHAH! Finally! Something to rile me up with!” The God of War Ares descended to the battle.

“Justice shall be done.” The Goddess of Justice and Vengeance Nemesis stated as she descended into the battlefield as well.

It is not just the two gods that descended but there were some lower gods and champions of gods that were teleported as well. The reason why the gods could descend in their bodies is due to the fact that the entirety of Asgard is considered as a divine realm. It is a place stable enough for gods to descend which means they can unleash their strength without any repercussions.

“Ares! Nemesis! Retreat now and I shall not consider this a threat to Asgard!” The God King Odin exclaimed as he released a powerful aura that could make lower gods kneel down.

“Do you think that I will back down from a fight, old man?! You harmed one of my favorite battle junkies and sent him to the Void. If you left him alone then I might have just watched him tear through your army but it suddenly got boring without the Champion of the Twin Gods!” The God of War Ares stated.

“One of your own has did something unthinkable and broke the agreement of using forbidden relics. The Justice Faction has enough evidence to join in destroying those that break the law. All can be forgiven if you give us the head of the one that broke the agreement and return the Champion of the Twin Gods back to this realm.” The Goddess of Justice and Vengeance Nemesis stated.

“These young and incompetent brats!” The God King Odin exclaimed in fury because he cannot surrender Loki’s head because he is also forbidden to harm him.

The God King Odin knew that he cannot avoid this battle now because the way to stop it is non-existent. These two gods before him were just looking for excuses to descend or rather the first one is but the second one has justification. The God King Odin’s confidence suddenly started to plummet when he heard the maniacal laugh of the God of Mischief Loki.

“All of you shall be sacrifices for my great ascension!” The God of Mischief Loki shouted as he blew a snaked shape whistle which made the ground rumble.
