Chapter 2747: The World Serpent I

The God of Mischief Loki is currently a bit paranoid because he can now be subjected to the worst of fates. The fact that he became vulnerable to the power of the Norns and is basically cursed to suffer the worst of end in the same day made him unable to focus. The God of Mischief Loki thought that if he hid in Asgard then everything would be safe as even the Norns will never be able to touch him here. He could just send some of his clones outside until he finds a way to circumvent the power of the Norns.

The God of Mischief Loki believed that Asgard is safe and the God King Odin is protecting it. He believed that nothing in this mortal realm could pierce the barrier of Asgard as it is a powerful spell created by the God King Odin himself. A spell barrier that is created by a God of Magic is simply powerful beyond belief but the God of Mischief Loki had his mind shattered as the demons came. Three demigod level Daemos or Noblesse appeared in the skies above Asgard to punish the God of Mischief Loki for using a forbidden relic.

The forbidden relic was not supposed to be used against Adrian but to the Noblesse hiding in Avalon. The forbidden relic’s true target is none other than Old Man Pann as even the God King Odin is wary of him. The only reason why the God of Mischief Loki used the forbidden relic on Adrian is due to the fact that he will die if he did not have anything to suppress the demon that attacked him. The God of Mischief Loki’s own divine relic is telling him he will die if he does not send Adrian to the Void.

What the God of Mischief Loki did not expect is that his use of his divine relic rendered him powerless against the manipulation of the Norns. He was supposed to be a trickster god which is a being that could not be bound by common logic or laws but even that seems to have limits. The moment the uses of his divine relic was gone, the Norns immediately did something to the God of Mischief Loki’ fate.

“I am still safe. Odin is protecting the barrier as it is. I just need to regain some of my strength and for that I will use the Beast of Ogdoad.” The God of Mischief Loki thought as he started to slowly use the power he embedded secretly into the Beast of Ogdoad.

The God of Mischief Loki is incredibly focused but also wary of his surroundings as he is not the only one in the castle. The God of War Tyr, the God of Thunder Thor, and the Goddess of Earth Sif were all present in the castle as they are recuperating from their injuries. The God of War Tyr still has some frost burns but he is still fine. The God of Thunder Thor has frostbite on his back but he is enduring the pain as he is already recovering.

The one that is incredibly injured and has lost her legs is none other than the Goddess of Earth Sif. She could no longer create her own legs via divine power as something was preventing her from doing so. It seems that the Ice Queen Elona’s magic is too profound even for a goddess such as herself. She is currently walking by using her own divine energy to create prosthetic legs using precious metals.

These gods were recuperating in the castle when they heard the barrier shatter. The impossible situation suddenly happened before their very eyes and even the God King Odin could not stop it. The God of Mischief Loki suddenly panicked as the barrier that covered Asgard is related to mitigating the effects of the magic of the Norns. With the barrier gone, the God of Mischief Loki is now easier to influence to have his tragic end.

“The barrier has been breached by a Noblesse that is emanating energy that is of destruction! It must that Demon of Destruction!” The God of Thunder Thor stated as he picked up Mjolnir and headed towards Elder Bronx.

“You are still not fully recovered, my love. Stay for now as the others would surely be able to stop that brutish demon.” The Goddess of Earth Sif stated but she knew that the other gods will not be able to do anything against Elder Bronx.

“I shall move as well. We might be able to defeat that demon if we work together.” The God of War Tyr stated as he also picked up his weapon and joined the God of Thunder Thor in battle.

“I shall help as well. Even if I am not recovering properly, I can stop that monster from charging straight to the castle with my own magic. What about you, Loki?” The Goddess of Earth Sif stated.

“I shall stay here and protect the castle from other intruders. I will make sure to keep your seats warm for the moment.” The God of Mischief Loki stated which made the other scorn at him for his cowardice but they cannot force the former into anything as only the God King Odin can truly command him to do anything.

The three gods did not argue with the God of Mischief Loki and just left to face Elder Bronx. The God of Mischief Loki thought that he could swipe some relics in the God King Odin’s secret stash to protect himself but he suddenly felt time stop in the area. The God of Mischief Loki suddenly found himself in the presence of Elder Koronn.

“You will not be able to escape and call for help as I basically isolated this place. The God of Mischief Loki has violated the agreement between the Daemos and the gods to never use any relic related to the Void. For this transgression, you shall be killed as judgement for your actions.” Elder Koronn stated as he released temporal bombs in the entire area.

The God of Mischief Loki tried to escape but the entire area has been sealed off just like Elder Koronn stated. Due to the fact that he cannot call for help, the God of Mischief Loki took out his twin daggers and charged towards Elder Koronn instead. The God of Mischief Loki vanished but that cannot stop a demon with perfect control of time.

Elder Koronn suddenly froze time in the area he sealed to minimize the mana usage. He did not want to stop time for the entire world as that will not affect the God of Mischief Loki. Elder Koronn knew that some gods like trickster gods are more difficult to pin down due to their nature. Still, even if the area itself has its time stopped, the God of Mischief Loki could still move albeit slowly.

Elder Koronn did not waste time though as moving slowly in an area frozen in time means that the demon can still enchant themselves to move faster. Elder Koronn stuck temporal bombs near the God of Mischief Loki or rather all around him. The temporal bombs detonated in an instant and sent the God of Mischief Loki flying.

“As expected of gods, you are quite sturdy but that does not mean you are invincible.” Elder Koronn stated as he once again created an area filled with temporal bombs.

The God of Mischief Loki got bombarded once again but he actually made use of it to escape. The God of Mischief Loki used his own divine energy to redirect the concentrated explosion of the temporal bombs to a weak spot in the sealed area. Still, this also means that the God of Mischief Loki needed to be the target and will still be caught in the explosion.

The God of Mischief Loki got heavily damaged but also escaped the sealed area. Elder Koronn noticed this and immediately began pursuit of the God of Mischief Loki. Even with his tricks, the God of Mischief Loki cannot evade Elder Koronn’s eyes as the latter is peering in the events of the past, present, and future all at once. The God of Mischief Loki suddenly became desperate as he suddenly remembered that he is cursed by the Norns.

“I will not die here!” The God of Mischief Loki thought to himself as he headed towards the area where the three gods earlier are present.

The God of Mischief Loki wanted to share his burden with the others as a form of camaraderie but he also has a darker plan in store. The God of Mischief Loki looked like he wanted everything to burn down which is why he took out a relic that looked like a snake coiling on a globe. The God of Mischief Loki thought that he would not use this immediately but it seems he was wrong.

“I will just need to move my plans forward because other gods have joined in.” The God of Mischief Loki thought as he sensed the presence of other gods arriving at Asgard.
