Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1123: Fate Of Past Friends (4)

Chapter 1123: Fate Of Past Friends (4)

It is like jumping from a frying pan into molten lava.

Just a few seconds ago, Zeraphine was running from the Immortal Monarchs; however, now she is facing a literal demigod who can become a god at any time.

If she wanted, she could pinch her to death like it was a normal Monday.

That is not something she can handle.

However, the portal is closed, and the man who brought her is already walking toward an obsidian chair. Zeraphine can only panic and start wondering how she can make a run for it.

Clearly, she is terrified of Nyx, a being who is leagues above her. If possible, she will offer her soul if it means surviving this terror.

However, Nyx merely smiles.

“Relax, young lady, I have no interest in hurting you.”

“T-then why did you bring me here?” Zeraphine managed to ask. It made no sense why a demigod would save her.

“Well, a little birdie told me you are in trouble, and so, as someone connected to Kent, I saw it best to save you. After all, saving you when you truly needed help will make me look good when facing him.

This is completely for my own benefits…After all, I am a selfish person, you see.”

“I did the saving, just in case we are keeping score,” Uncle Drew said with a small smile. Nyx smirked and focused her attention on Zeraphine.

“The main issue is you are now safe and sound. You can spend the next couple of thousand years here until Kent comes for you, or until this lazy rider finds a way to return you to the Beast Kingdom.”

Uncle Drew smirked…

“How would Kent know I am here?” Zeraphine asked, and Nyx smiled.

“Don’t worry, he will find out soon enough.” Nyx waved her hand, and Zeraphine felt her body lifted off the ground. She panicked, but before she could say anything, her entire body was sent flying through a door.

She appeared in a green field despite the gloomy environment in the sky.

“You can cultivate here and prepare to form your tenth Immortal Qi and become an Immortal Lord. In here, you have nothing to worry about.” Nyx’s voice entered her head one last time.

Zeraphine sighed and then sat down. Even now, she is still skeptical about the situation she has found herself in.

Her life taking a turn that sharp is already too much for her fragile mind to comprehend. In fact, she didn’t even know if this was real or merely an illusion.

So it will take her a while to come to terms with what all this is about.

Meanwhile, inside the large hall, Nyx looked at Uncle Drew and asked, “Why save her and not the other one? She seems to be doing better than he is.”

Uncle Drew smiled. “The young master used to say something along the line of ’hoes before bros.’ I had only one chance to save two of them, so following in my young master’s footsteps, I saved the lady.

The guy can only blame himself for having bad luck.”

Nyx smiled, knowing full well Uncle Drew was just messing with her. However, knowing Kent from their time in Hell, she can see him actually say something like that.

“I want the true reason,” she asked again, and Uncle Drew just smirked.

“Saving the male Bird would be hard and near impossible. I would have to fight, and while I would love that, the current me is no monster who can face immortals in the dozens.

Of course, even if I could, there is also a demigod who can pinch me to death. This means saving him is impossible, so I saved her instead and hoped that soon, the young master would find out about him.”

“I see. So does that mean you are planning on leaving?”

“Not yet. I can’t go back just yet. The master will first have to ascend before I can go to him,” Uncle Drew sighed.

He came back to the underworld years ago to train. Back then, he planned on creating dozens of Night Agents to strengthen his army and, in essence, his master’s army.

However, a fateful encounter in the underworld allowed him to also become much stronger than he was supposed to.

In essence, instead of getting stuck at the peak of the Core Formation stage, Uncle Drew became something—someone akin to a forsaken being.

Now, he was able to transcend beyond the rank of a Core Formation stage cultivator and even went beyond the rank of a Heavenly Ascension stage expert.

“If and when I get back, I would have to awaken the unique Knight Rider trait of my teammates and allow them to become limitless beings. This way, even when I leave again, I wouldn’t worry about my Young Master’s safety.”

Nyx nodded.

She sure knows what Uncle Drew is capable of. Years ago, when he came and asked her to send him to the Black Castle—one of the most dangerous places in the underworld—she hesitated; however, she did send him there in the end.

However, who would have thought the weak night rider she had sent there would one day be known as the King of Black Castle?

Uncle Drew’s fame in the underworld cannot be replicated. He had made a name for himself, and it is all thanks to a fateful encounter with someone.

Now, he can grow beyond the limit placed on him, despite being linked to Kent.

If anything, his coming to the underworld is the best thing that has ever happened to him.

“I just hope that poor guy is okay,” Nyx sighed.

“I will go check if the lady has settled in. She seemed scared of me.” Nyx stood up and left, leaving Uncle Drew alone in the hall.

“Master is going to kill a lot of people for sure.” He smiled and also left to go handle some business he had saved up in order to keep himself busy.

[Planet Gemini – Guillotine Prison – Kaelith POV]

Inside a small room featuring four thick chains, each crackling with red lightning energy, a worn-out man with a pale expression sat, his hands and legs bound by these chains.

His skin was cut from what appeared to be whip strikes. Dry blood could be seen coating his body and wounds.

His left eye is blinded, and his heartbeat has slowed down.

This person is, of course, Kaelith, the fastest beast monarch Kent had tamed back in the Flame Sea. Before he was tamed, he and Zeraphine ambushed and tried to kill Kent; however, he later became one of his most loyal subordinates.

Twenty-eight thousand years ago, while traveling the universe, Kaelith was ambushed by a group of hunters working for his family.

Kaelith left his family several years ago to pursue his dreams after his mother died. As a Flame Roc Beast, traveling long distances is something they enjoy thanks to their speed.

So after the one person who seemed to always make him happy died, he left. Apparently, his leaving didn’t sit well with the family.

The claim was that his mother had left him a treasure technique she had stolen from the family, and that was why he was able to leave and remain safe out there.

So, they had been looking for him, and on that day, they finally caught up with him. It took twenty-four immortals, of which fourteen died, before they caught him.

However, he refused to talk no matter how many times they asked. In the end, they imprisoned him in the Guillotine Prison, where nobody dares to step in.

Once in there, your life is practically over. However, Kaelith remains calm, waiting for the day his master will come.
