“Grim Power…I’m thinking of exhausting it to zero once before ascending to the next rank.” Almond looked at his status, his eyes narrowed.

Grim Power was something that couldn’t be recovered once used. Distributing more stats to Grim Power could only increase it, but once used, it wouldn’t recover like Life Power.

And hitting 0 in Grim Power meant getting called for a Grim Trial by the Grimverse.

Almond, Lily, and Admiral Rudra had exhausted it more than others since they had fought against Grim Adventurers and naturally had to use Grim Power to defeat them.

And there was no doubt everyone would have to use more Grim Power once they entered the event—War of the Overlord Ocean.

In the following two days, Regalons didn’t leave Spirit Voiderran Realm at all.

They stayed inside, developed their Grim Trees, Grim Weapons, their techniques, and most importantly, their True Concepts.

The Royal family, Cross Faction, and Rebel Faction tried their best to find them, but failed.

In the end, they caught onto their ’apparent’ location via normal means of investigation. The hotel suite in the name of Golden Void Outlaws.

But it was empty for two days.

They couldn’t just waste their time on finding them when an event was ongoing, so they ceased their search.

“It sucks that we can’t use our powers in a true sense here anymore,” Marcus said as he got up from the ground. “Almond, when are we going out?”

Almond and Lily were sitting cross-legged, not too far under a tree, training in their mental space.

“After eight hours.”

“Did you develop your Grim Tree’s first branch fully?”

“Yep.”

“Then go take a rest.”

Everyone who had finished developing their first branch of Grim Tree and refining their Grim Weapon to the latest edition began taking a rest.

Almond had clearly told them that only those who finish developing their Grim Tree’s first branch fully and refining their Grim Weapon, as well as hitting 2000 combat power, could enter.

2000 combat power meant that they could take on average peak Grim Students.

To take on average peak Grim Adventurer, the combat power was 4000, as that was the average combat power of Grim Adventurers.

After eight hours, a total of 17 Regalons had met the requirements.

“It’s time. Not everyone will accompany us at first, but once we participate in events, those who meet the requirement will fight alongside us.”

Everyone nodded.

And so, Almond, Lily, Natalia, Admiral Rudra, Big D as a catfolk, and Kexell as a humanoid dragon made their appearance known as they exited the hotel together.

Each of them had a distinct mask on them that Almond and Lily had created using their strongest aspects with Voiderran as a catalyst, to make it hard for anyone to see through it.

According to Levi, it was powerful enough to prevent Grim Noble’s probs.

And so, the six of them made their way towards the city center, where a floating structure was conjured by Grimverse for this event.

Everyone could participate freely, but they had to join one of the three pre-established factions inside.

Due to this ongoing dispute in the Kingdom, this event was specifically made by Grimverse’s laws to decide the victor.

The news of their appearance naturally reached the three factions since they had put a couple of their people to surveil the hotel.

But before any of the three factions could approach the Regalons, they made their entrance into the event.

Entering the building, they got a notification wheather they wanted to participate in the event or not.

They affirmed their choices and vanished, arriving on a small island with a shabby ship docked nearby.

Almond took out the rest of the Regalons, who became participants by default as soon as they appeared.

“So we are a pirate group now, eh? Sounds fun.” Silvester laughed.

“It looks like we’ll have to sail and reach that place on the map first to choose one of the three factions for us.”

Everyone had acquired a notification that gave them some functions, and their first task was rebuilding the ship.

The functions were map, party settings, and communication means with party members.

“Guess we are keeping our pirate group name the same.”

“Golden Void Outlaws is fitting.”

“Alright, now let’s finish the first task.” Almond looked at Karala. “You’re on. Gather people and make us the best blueprint for a ship.”

Krala rolled up his sleeves as he smiled.

“Bigger and stronger.” Noah grinned.

“Silvester, you should also teach your grandson about elegance. Oh, my bad. I forgot you don’t know that word.” Hiroshi laughed.

“Grandpa…” Kira wryly smiled.

“It’s fine, lass. I won’t quarrel with your childish grandpa.” Silvester amicably smiled.

“Yo, if your family drama is over, can you start cutting those wood chunks?” Natalia shouted.

After almost two hours, the magnificent ship was completed.

The ship that rose from the beach looked nothing like the shabby wreck they had started with—it was a masterpiece born of their combined skills, grit, and imagination, a vessel that looked less like it belonged to pirates and more like it had sailed straight out of some legendary saga carved into the bones of the Grimverse itself.

The hull gleamed with a shifting dark-metal alloy—Aetherion Steel, fused with veins of Voiderran Mithrillium, a metal that Admiral Rudra and Krala jointly created, giving it a black-violet sheen that shimmered as if a thousand stars were trapped within its body. The surface wasn’t smooth but patterned with subtle glyph-lines that pulsed faintly, like veins carrying light across a living creature’s body, pulsing with the signature spirit of Regalon geneline.

When the ship moved, those lines would channel energy into hidden arrays etched deep into the keel.

The bow curved forward into a sharp, predatory blade, sculpted to cleave through waves and storms alike, while its flanks carried smooth ridges of plated armor that were not only for defense but also functioned as conduits for redirecting energy blasts. Two massive beastly-headed figureheads with their jagged teeth-highlighted jutted from the sides of the prow, their open maws doubling as cannons, capable of firing compressed beams powered by Tier-3 crystals.

They had plenty of those crystals, and a dozen of them could last them for several days.

The deck was broad, layered with a polished blackstone inlay that was both unbreakable and beautiful, covered in faint circuit-like runes that activated underfoot.

The sails were not cloth at all but etherium-light membranes, translucent and radiant, shifting between silver, sapphire, and obsidian as if woven from starlight and shadows. They allowed the ship to accelerate faster.

At the rear rose a towering engine spine, not a clunky machine but a crystalline core of rotating rings, each spinning with pulsing white-blue fire, suspended in magnetic suspension. The hum it produced was deep and resonant, like the heartbeat of a god trapped in metal. That was the Abyssal Flux Drive, the ship’s heart, which could channel the raw force of Tier-3 crystals into propulsion, shields, and weapons alike.

Hidden compartments dotted the ship—sliding armor plates that could open to reveal deployable arc-lances and graviton harpoons for locking onto other vessels. Beneath the deck, rooms weren’t cramped or wooden but designed with metallic lattice walls glowing with soft azure light, powered by auxiliary crystal furnaces. There was even a dimensional storage hold, a pocket-space woven into the ship’s structure where supplies and treasures could be stored without adding weight.

The helm itself was no simple wheel, but a throne-like command chair fused with a crystalline console, surrounded by holographic projections of maps, stars, and real-time detection arrays. Whoever sat there became one with the ship, their will flowing into the vessel through Grimverse-linked circuitry.

From a distance, the finished craft looked like a phantom sovereign of the seas—an impossible hybrid of pirate dreadnought and celestial warship.

The moment it was built, the members of Golden Void Outlaws got a notification.

[ Pirate Ship evaluation completed. Congratulations, your pirate ship’s rating is 1000, which is the maximum value for the starter ship. ]

[ According to the technological and arcane development of this ship with your powers, and keeping their powers in mind, the ship will have its function overhauled according to the event. ]

The ship glowed briefly.

It didn’t change in appearance, but all the skills of the shis changed.

[ Please choose a name for the ship. Once you’re chosen, you may sail to this overlord ocean. The only way to further upgrade your ship would be to gather mystic power fruits for your ship. All the best. ]

“Eltuvaine,” Krala said. “I name this ship Eltuvaine. It means forever drifting with might.”

“Sounds Good.” Almond nodded with a smile.

[ Name established. ]
