Chapter 806 - 806: Disaster Prevention 101

December 3rd
Year 1054
“Pawn to C5.”
“Knight to F6.”
“You’re giving me an opening.”
“I dare your rook to take it.”
Such was the interaction between two people playing chess in the middle of a classroom. The time was 12:30 am, far too early for anyone to be in a classroom, yet here they were.
They were indeed trespassing on school property, but the night shift security guard, who was meant to be on patrol, was currently knocked out in his booth.
There was no one to chase them out.
Seated at the table was a woman with long, flowing hair the colour of spider silk and eyes that shimmered with a predatory gleam. Despite her captivating appearance, her bright golden-yellow eyes, each iris containing four pupils, hinted at the arachnid menace lurking beneath her human façade.
Opposite her was a teenage boy, sporting black hair with white highlights and grey eyes with a golden inscription in his irises. He rubbed his left hand on his chin while his other hand picked up a fork and took a spoonful of spaghetti from a second table joined to theirs.
“You’ve taken too much, Evan.”
“That’s a lie. I saw you sneak an extra spoonful earlier.”
“That is a lie. Spiders are sneaky; you couldn’t have noticed when I did.”
“So, you do admit you did?”
“I’d like to exercise my right to remain silent.”
The woman responded to Evan’s question with words that were pretty much an admission of guilt, but the boy only shook his head with a wry smile.
In their little talk, she called herself a ‘Spider,’ and this was no lie.
The woman seated before Evan was none other than the ‘Spider Nemesis,’ Cheisnih, just in her polymorphed human form.
Her appearance was one of someone who had reached the peak of physical maturity, but if anyone was to see the number in the Age tab of her status, they’d doubt their eyes.

‘Well, that’s only if they don’t have Full Appraisal.’
With Full Appraisal, Evan could a lot more details and understand that what was 10 years old was only this current incarnation of Cheisnih’s. Her true age was over three centuries.
Every hundred years, she used her Egg-Laying skill to reproduce asexually, creating clones or ‘children’ which she moved her soul into.
With this, she effectively reincarnated herself to live a new life each time and has done this a total of three times.
Why she does this, however, was not something she was willing to tell Evan. Evan also had no desire to prod at her secrets so this topic just ended up untouched.
“Hey, where did all the meatballs go?”
“Mmph… dunno.”
Cheisnih responded with her cheek bulging slightly, making no effort to conceal the fact that she had stuffed all the meatballs from their spaghetti into her mouth.
Evan silently shook his head and moved the plate closer to himself, but Cheisnih noticed this and moved towards herself.
He pulled it back, but then she pulled it again, and within seconds, they had ignored their chess game and were now dragging the spaghetti plate.
“…What are you two doing?”
“…”
“…”
Both sides of the ches—Spaghetti battle, turned their gazes towards the door where Eliza stood, giving them an incredulous stare.
Beside her were Laurene, and David, and behind her were the rest of the Anomalies party members.
“Chess?”
“Spaghetti battle?”
The two of them gave vastly different answers and all Eliza did was roll her eyes before stepping into the classroom and asking.
“Can we get started already? Everyone is here.”
“Okay, lemme just check Cheisnih.”
“…huh?”
When Evan said that, the Arachnid woman let out a confused noise but he ignored it and moved his queen to C2.
“If I move to D1, I’ve gotten your queen. If my knight moves to E1, I’ve gotten your king. I win.”
“Wha?! That doesn’t make sense!”
“What doesn’t? My victory or your loss?”
Evan moved his hands and proceeded to make the movements he had just suggested, both of which ended with her king captured.
“You’ve lost on 2 sides.
Oh, and you suck at chess.”
Cheisnih’s brow twitched repeatedly, but Evan just laughed and got to his feet, glancing at the door where more people were entering from.
“Sup, Emperor Lloris.”
Evan casually greeted the clone of the Emperor of the country he was in like he was a random man on the street, much to the displeasure of the Warlord who came with him.
He wanted to admonish the boy, but Isobel held his shoulder and shook his head, advising him that he was better off not trying that with Evan.
“Alright, to your seats everyone.”
Evan spoke as he apported a marker into his hands and turned to the whiteboard on the wall, reaching for the top and writing on it.
“Today’s Class is Disaster Prevention 101, and I’d be your teacher.
The topic, is Fallen Celestial Deities, a.k.a False gods.”
After writing that, Evan tossed the marker away and pulled out a teacher’s cane from his inventory, elongating it and using it to hit the board repeatedly.
“Is this not supposed to be a Briefing?”
Lloris frowned and asked as he felt Evan’s current attitude was not the kind one was supposed to take on such a serious occasion, but the Hero only nodded with a smile.
“Yes, it is.
You see, I discovered something about myself during Cheverton 2 years ago…”
When he said that, people who were present in Cheverton during the Dullahan Attack like Sir Heiner and his cousin, the Saintess Amelie Harris, perked their ears.
“…I’m not the best with overly serious atmospheres, I like to make things a little livelier. It makes it easy for me to pass on important information, like how many million people could die and stuff like that.”
Pointing at Lloris with the cane, he continued with his uncharacteristic serious voice.
“As the people at risk are your nation’s citizens, not mine; It’d be in your best interest to listen carefully to every word I say…even the ones that sound like jokes.”
His expression returned to his usual one and he turned his gaze in the direction of the Demoness taking a seat beside Cheisnih and spoke.
“Anyway, Leviah.”
“?”
When Leviah looked at him with a questioning gaze, Evan met her eyes and spoke.
“Just hold that for a sec…”
Hologram Creation Acquired
Normal Skills require one skill slot.
Five Skill slots remaining.
“Thanks.”
Evan turned around and hit his cane on the board, and a hologram of the map of Tarse appeared on the white surface, prompting Leviah to curse out loud.
“Fucking copycat!”
It was now that she understood why Evan had called her attention, and all the boy’s party members and fellow Heroes quickly figured out what he had just done.
The two Warlords present, as well as their Emperor, and the Knights from the Holy Kingdom were all confused though.
“First off, I’d like to thank everyone here present. And without further ado, let’s begin the class.”
Evan hit the board and holograms of humanoids and a chart of the polarity spectrum were generated. Then, he began speaking.
“Enter the ‘Celestial Race’, a humanoid race with no particularly unique physical features. They all possess innate control over Celestial Energy, and in the hands of the Celestials, it’s more powerful than magic and aura.
It’s basically like how Demonic energy is to the d̵e̶m̴o̶n̴ race, and divinity is to gods.”
Ignoring that little bit of censoring due to a few individuals not cognizant of the race of Aidos’ Invaders, Evan continued.
“They are inherently on the Positive Side of the Polarity Spectrum, and this gives them an advantage and disadvantage against Negatively Polarized races.
There are many Celestials on Aidos, our Tarsian friends here are Celestials. Well, one’s Half-Dragonkin but that’s not an issue.
Now, then…let’s get on to the ‘Fallen Celestial Deities’ (FCDs).”
Evan’s lips twisted into a light frown when he spoke those three words, but before anyone could ask why, he continued talking.
“First off, after deep research, I’ve come to understand that these particular Celestials are all beings who have once surpassed Transcendence and have achieved the ‘Deity Level’ that lies beyond.
However, due to certain circumstances beyond our understanding—a war with Infernal Devils—they lost this power and fell below Transcendence.
This happened over 2000 years ago, before the Invaders from 1000 years ago even discovered our World. They have been around, for that long.”
Lloris and Isobel, as well as the second Warlord present— Késhaun Edwards—frowned when they heard how long these Celestials had been alive. Dealing with people who had thousands of years of life experience was never easy, and they didn’t like that said people had designs in their country.
“To be honest, these guys are so old that they were around when Aidos was still in its Heyday as an Interstellar Hegemony.”
When Evan said this, Nadarus who was browsing through the stock market section of a newspaper spoke up.
“They’ve probably been around even longer than that, Faulin is someone from the same generation as Demon King McEnda II, you know?”
Questioning looks clouded everyone’s faces when they heard Nadarus’ words, but he and the other two demons present remained silent and didn’t say anything.
Evan nodded in affirmation to Nadarus’ words, glancing at the System Archive where Faulin’s information was detailed.
“Indeed, they likely have. But the crucial point is that 80% of them are not Aidosian. They hail from other worlds and only arrived here after losing their Deity powers.
However, they have been here long enough for their names to become entrenched in this world’s history.”
With a swift motion, the boy snapped his cane against the board, conjuring a series of holograms. Each hologram displayed a name and title, alongside a half-body image of different men and women.
“Behold, ladies and gentlemen—the names of the Alpha Continent’s Fallen Celestial Deities.”
Sun Celestial Conroe. (Deceased) [Cursed by Infernal Devil King]
Heavenly Celestial Faulin. (Former Celestial King)

The holograms Evan displayed carried the names and faces of men and women familiar to many in the room for different reasons.
Their reactions were equally as diverse as these reasons.
The eyes of those from Tarse widened in shock, the Holy Knights grimaced, Laurene gasped, the Demons narrowed their eyes, and Kayla frowned…very deeply.
Evan couldn’t blame most of them for their reactions, as he understood the reasons behind them.
“Evan…what’s the meaning of this?”
“It’s exactly what it looks like, Isobel. Haven’t you wondered why I’d been calling them False gods?”
“…”
False gods.
Evan had often called the Celestials that, but no one had given it much thought.
But now, they understood.
More than half the names displayed belonged to ‘gods’ worshipped by Celestials across not just Tarse, but Planet Aidos.
gods from a different genealogy as Artemisia’s Pantheon.
Many were revered as patron gods of various Tribes in Tarse, with their religions more prevalent in Tarse than the Church of Artemisia.
This was why Evan had to bring in Holy Knights from outside Tarse; there were too few within Tarse to be of any real help.
What was even more shocking for the Tarsians was that some of these Celestials were apparently already dead.
When they saw the ‘Assassinated by Leviah’, ‘Eaten by Cheisnih’ and ‘Killed by Nadarus’ written beside some of the names, all eyes turned towards the three people who shrugged off their gazes and continued what they were doing.
Cheisnih went on with her Chess manual, Leviah had her legs crossed atop a table and her eyes closed, while Nadarus was laughing at the news of some billionaires losing money.
