Chapter 823 - 823: Harvest Festival of Souls [Monthly Bonus 3]
“This…Seraphael!!”
Faulin’s expression contorted as he just sensed the death of one of the ‘Race Lords’ under him. Simultaneously, the thought of warning Faulin about Evan’s flames instantly escaped Belphont’s head as he sensed Seraphael’s death.
The doors slammed open and another one of the FCDs entered, the Arcane Celestial Lorethi and her expression wasn’t good either.
“Faulin…this…”
“I know.”
Faulin was incensed. He didn’t expect that Seraphael would lose against the Deadly Sin Siblings. Sure, there were two of them, but Seraphael’s ‘Paradise of the Faithful’ was supposed to assure his victory.
In the first place, the Bounded Fields of Fallen Deities like them were on a different level from what normal mortals could conjure, since they were in truth, a weaker version of a Deity-exclusive power.
He had kept tabs on the activities of Evan’s party and was sure he had a pretty good estimate of their current levels.
With all these factors considered, he was confident in Seraphael’s victory.
However, the reality was that Seraphael had just died!
More importantly, Seraphael’s death came with an extra problem besides the fact that their numbers had reduced.
‘Damn it! Brenda would know something is up!’
The FCDs were all connected under Faulin’s ‘Race King’ Authority, so they could sense each other’s deaths despite the distance.
However, Faulin could prevent those under him from sensing another’s death.
To be precise, he could isolate one of them from their connection, to prevent them from sensing anything and not just deaths.
When Qutia died last year, Brenda came over to Tarse and she nearly discovered their plans, so Faulin isolated her connection to prevent her from figuring out when his power recovery began.
It was also because of this that she did not know that five more had died over the year.
However, this ability had its limits, and with Seraphael’s sudden demise, that limit was exceeded. Brenda undoubtedly sensed Seraphael’s death and was likely on her way to Tarse already.
Faulin was very wary of Brenda because, among them, Brenda was pretty much the second strongest, with Faulin only surpassing her in strength because he was a Celestial King.
If his Race Ruler’s Authority was removed, Brenda would undoubtedly be stronger.
Moreover, among the FCDs, Brenda’s power depleted the slowest due to her nature as an Elder-breed.
She and Faulin were the only two FCDs ‘on the Alpha Continent’ who still had Legendary Level power.
Most concerning was Brenda’s potential to singlehandedly disrupt their plans as she possessed extensive knowledge about the ritual they were planning to use.
She was with Faulin when he discovered this method, after all.
‘We need to start now!’
“Lorethi, tell everyone present to get into position. Where’s Mortis? Elysandre? Get them here.”
Lorethi was silent for a moment, but she quickly understood Faulin’s sense of urgency and replied.
“Mortis said he was still engaged with that Laneford girl…it seems the monster that killed Pyrrhos is with her.”
“What about Elysandre?”
“She’s outside.”
Faulin walked out onto the balcony as Lorethi spoke, and he twisted his lips into a frown as he pondered Mortis’ current situation.
“It may cause us to lose some speed, but we don’t have a choice.
We’d start without Mortis and Glazard. Both of you, get into position now.”
Faulin leapt from the balcony, landing gracefully on the cobblestone floor below. With determined strides, he dashed towards the city’s centre where a magnificent statue of himself stood.
Without hesitation, he kicked the statue off the elevated platform, sending it crashing to the ground.
As the statue fell, Faulin roused his celestial energy, channelling it into the earth beneath him which caused the platform to light up with a brilliant glow.
He sensed the other FCDs positioning themselves strategically across Kreah and he nodded in satisfaction.
“Good.”
Taking a deep breath, he unleashed his power, sending waves of celestial energy surging in all directions. The energy blanketed the entire city, a vast metropolis of over 2.5 million inhabitants and spanning more than 1000 square kilometres of area.
Naturally, this sudden surge of energy drew the attention of the tens of thousands of adventurers, soldiers, and mercenaries scattered throughout the city.
Their Levels were varied, ranging from the 100s to 700s.
Very quickly, alarms rang out in the city its powerful inhabitants scrambled to find the source of the sudden energy blanketing it.
For a Legendary like Faulin, it took less than a minute for his aura to encompass the entirety of Kreah.
¬Begin. ¬
Faulin’s cold Faux True Voice infused with power resounded across the city as he held his palms together and conjured a tiny hexagonal magic circle in between them.
The energy from the intersecting energy veins beneath Kreah surged to the surface, erupting from six different points around the city as pillars of light that lit up the early morning sky.
Connecting lines shot out from each of these pillars, joining them together to form a giant hexagon of white light hovering hundreds of metres high.
From Faulin’s position in the city centre, a seventh pillar ascended, releasing connecting lines that shot out to the other six points, dividing the hexagon into six equal parts.
Each section was filled with a translucent film of white light.
Taking another deep breath, Faulin looked up at the central orb of energy that formed the heart of the hexagon, before infusing law energy into his voice as he spoke.
¬World Magic: Spell Number 34: Harvest Festival of Souls. ¬
With a decisive motion, he slammed his palms together and the hexagon of light in the sky descended with light speed, engulfing the city in its radiance.
Despite the early hours, the city of Kreah was alive with chaos due to the sudden energy disturbance.
However, the moment the radiance of the spell engulfed it…silence reigned supreme.

Prime World Gozon
December 10th
Year 1054 of the 51st General Calendar
Demon King Ginaroad Alverix Sargon sat on his throne, his focus on the holograms of planets floating in the air before him.
“?”
He sensed a ripple in space and turned his gaze to the side, just in time for the figure of a ‘woman’ to materialize beside him.
‘She’ was ethereal, with iridescent eyes and long black hair that shifted to grey halfway down—the kind people up there in age usually had.
‘She’ wore a shimmering gown of midnight blue and silver, with a delicate silver pendant around ‘her’ neck, adding to ‘her’ mysterious aura.
“Gozon…”
[Xolgren Agriker has sent in his report; Faulin has begun his Harvest Ritual.]
“…”
The message the Incarnation of the Prime World’s Consciousness brought for him, sent from the contracted demon of the Demonic Hand’s Fifth Finger was one that made Ginaroad sigh.
“Okay, time to tell her.”
He waved his hands and dismissed the holograms, getting to his feet and commanding the spatial laws with his True Voice.
Authority of Space: Spatial Gate.
Spatial energy condensed rapidly in a point before him, before breaking down the fabric of space to create a gate that connected two locations.
He entered it without hesitation, reappearing before a ginormous mass of plasma.
“That was close…since when did a star drift here?”
The man raised his gaze, ignoring the strong solar radiation and the fire law energy reaching him and locking onto a particular point before elementalizing his body, turning into a streak of light that shot through the void of space.
A few minutes later, he arrived at his location, a portion of space barely lit up by the nearby star.
There, within the peach of nothingness, a single woman’s body floated, unaffected by the powerful gravity of the Yellow Giant star nearby.
She had impractically long white hair, overgrown and unmaintained over a long time. Her face was just as well-proportioned as his and her body was curled up in a fetal position.
His presence prompted her closed eyelids to flutter open, revealing a pair of hazel eyes that stared at him listlessly.
She blinked twice, before raising her hand to clean her eyes. She then stretched her sleepy body, raising a small groan as her bones and flesh had been dormant for quite a while.
Looking down at the back of her palm, she saw some ice on it, showing her body had begun to freeze due to the coldness of space.
However, she shook her hand a bit and the ice flaked off.
Finally, she raised her head and looked at the silent Ginaroad, prompting him to speak, delivering the message he had.
Faulin has begun his Harvest Ritual. It’s time.
…
The woman was silent, her eyes still carrying traces of sleep as she raised her finger and poked the space in front of her.
Time laws swirled around the point her finger touched, and the condensed law energy formed a single construct.
An active Stopwatch on a Timer.
9,999: 365: 23: 10
YYYY: DDD: HH: MM
Fifty minutes more. Finally…the paradox can begin.
The stopwatch construct shattered into fragments of light and she turned her gaze towards the Demon King, reaching out towards him.
…come.
Ginaroad floated closer, allowing her to touch his hair and rub it lightly.
…you’ve grown stronger, Alverix…that’s good.
Her voice felt detached, as if she lacked emotions. But despite this, Ginaroad could somehow feel she was ‘happy’.
She removed her hands from his body just as he sensed this and then spoke.
Go back to Gozon, I’d take things from here.
Ginaroad looked at her with widened eyes, his calm expression cracking as he asked.
You’re going there?
The woman nodded silently, lifting her hand as spatial law energy naturally swirled around it. She neither willed it nor commanded it, yet the law of space sensed her intent and acted on her desire before she could even voice it.
As she extended her hand forward, the fabric of spacetime shattered like glass, forming a portal of starry light.
Aidos, my dear home…it’s been far too long. I wonder how much you’ve changed…
Looking at the spatial gate she created without a word, Ginaroad silently thought.
‘Aidos is in a Solar System over ten thousand lightyears away. But she created a gate leading straight to its Star Region without saying a word.’
The woman floated through the spatial gate, vanishing into it as the fabric of spacetime instantly mended itself.
So, this is the power of a ‘Main Entity’, huh? The Strongest of the New gods, matched only by Artemisia.
She was the person Vincent had said was the only one ‘capable of making gods and Demons work together with zero problems’.
The goddess on the side of Prime World Gozon, whose existence Artemisia had informed Evan of on his Day 1 in Aidos.
Parting his lips, Ginaroad called out her title.
The goddess of Time and Space.
