Reincarnated Hero System

Chapter 824 - 824: Dragon’s Roar

City Lord’s Manor

Naxetus Station City

Osaburg Region

December 10th

Year 1054

Evan barged into the room with a worried expression, and he was met with a sight that made his expression turn even darker.

David was in one corner seated on a chair, his entire right sleeve drenched in blood.

More concerning was the fact that Eliza was currently using Child of Life and Breath of Life to heal Laurene.

“Oh, you’re finally here.”

Laurene spoke when she noticed him, tilting her head as she turned to Kayla who was floating beside him and continued.

“And she’s bigger than the last time I saw her…”

“That’s not important. What the hell happened?”

Evan turned towards Leviah who was leaning against a wall with a frown on her face and asked.

“Glazard?”

“He escaped.”

“From even you?”

Shock flashed in Evan’s eyes when he heard the Demoness’ reply. How on Aidos could Glazard escape from her?

He was right to think this way, as the current Leviah was stronger than him. It should be noted that Leviah was already nearly 100 levels higher than Evan as of when she was unsealed, and the woman had killed 4 FCDs who gave a fuck ton of EXP, along with thousands of other monsters during the past 1 year she was doing Mercenary Work.

She had solely focused on recovering her power, unlike Evan who was distracted by his attempts to grow his international influence and could only gain 1-2 levels per week.

The current Leviah was Level 698! Her power was in the limbo between the Epic and Legendary Levels.

Glazard should NOT have been able to escape from her if she really wanted to kill him and Leviah wasn’t the kind to hold back.

So how?

Before he could ask that question again, the woman walked up to him, stabbed her spear into the ground beside him and grabbed him by his collar as she asked.

“Tell me you didn’t know that guy had that weapon!”

A dozen spears of lightning manifested around her, pointed at her vitals but Leviah couldn’t care less at this point.

As for Evan, he was confused. What weapon was she talking abou-!

“…Belphont said Glazard got a stronger weapon! Is that what you’re talking about?”

Leviah narrowed her eyes at Evan, seeing that he genuinely did not know about Glazard’s weapon before letting go of him and picking up her spear.

“What’s his weapon?”

Evan asked this and his answer came not from Leviah but from Laurene. The girl twisted her lips, a dark expression on her face as she called out one word.

“Evan…he was wielding Frostshade.”

[“”THE FUCK?!””]

Evan, Nadarus and Kayla simultaneously exclaimed in shock when they heard the name Laurene called. Even Roselia’s usual calm expression turned into a deep frown.

“Oy! Are you sure you saw correctly?”

Nadarus couldn’t help but ask and in response to this, Leviah snapped a reply.

“What I lost was my power, not my eyes or memories. There’s no way I wouldn’t recognize the real Frostshade if I see it.”

Her reaction made Evan raise a brow in confusion, feeling there was something lost in translation here.

“I have a feeling the ‘Frostshade’ in my mind is not the same one you guys are thinking about.”

When he said this, the silent Roselia finally spoke up.

“Frostshade is a Demon Sword.”

“So is the one I know.”

Evan interjected but Nadarus cut in, shaking his head as he strode up to the boy.

“No, no no…Evan, it’s not just ‘any’ Demon Sword. Roselia’s Lieutenant who showed up last year in Lacertilia, the sword belongs to her aunt.

The ‘Demon Queen of Frost’, Sigesi Valren.”

His words caused surprise to flash in the eyes of the three Heroes present. Stunned by this revelation, Laurene asked with an apprehensive look.

“Frostshade isn’t McEnda IV’s weapon?”

Demon General McEnda IV; The Strongest Archdemon General who entered Aidos 1000 years ago, and was responsible for the deaths of over 500 Transcendents during the War.

He was the one the Heroes knew to wield Frostshade as he used it when he killed ‘Dragon Lord’ Gorm, but according to the three Deadly Sin siblings, it wasn’t his sword.

“How did McEnda get his hands on it? Even more important, how did it fall into Glazard’s hands?”

This was the million-dollar question, and the one to take the prize for the answer was Roselia.

“It’s very simple if you think about it. ‘Demon Queen’ Sigesi Valren is the wife of ‘Demon King’ McEnda III, and McEnda IV’s mother.

The both of them were the last of the ‘Demon Kings’ to disappear 1,500 years ago. As for why McEnda IV has it…it’s because his mother gave it to him before she vanished.”

The fact that McEnda IV was the child of not one, but two Demon Rulers was a massive reveal in its own right, but right now, it wasn’t a priority.

“McEnda IV died against Gorm 1000 years ago…”

None of them needed that line to be completed. They all understood that Frostshade had fallen into the hands of the FCDs after McEnda IV’s death.

The FCDs had been on Aidos for over 2000 years, even before the war and they were active during it. They must have stolen the weapon after Morass and the other Transcendents disappeared, and now it was in the hands of the Verglas Celestial Glazard.

With that sword in his hands, Glazard was empowered to the point where he could fight Leviah off.

“There…you’re all patched up.”

Eliza who had been concentrating on healing the wounded Laurene finally spoke as she got to her feet and wiped her sweat off her brows.

“Thanks.”

Laurene had already been wounded by Glazard by the time Leviah arrived, but given that the Demoness only had Self-Healing abilities and Laurene’s healing was only good enough for first aid, she had to use a few health potions to recover and hold on long enough to get to Eliza.

As for Eliza, the young woman was tired.

She had just finished dealing with the Death Celestial Mortis, successfully sealing him away with the help of Cheisnih and Sir Heinr when she received information that Laurene was wounded and needed her help.

The Tarse Army healers were unable to remove the powerful frost energy that permeated into Laurene’s wounds so they could not heal her.

But Eliza could, and her face clouded over when she realised why.

‘Child of Ice…there’s no doubt about it. This Frostshade sword has the power of the Child of Ice skill.’

That little interaction with the Demon Queen’s leftover power in her weapon was enough for her to infer what Unique Series Skill she possessed.

Evan turned towards David who was just seated silently in the corner and asked what happened and his reply was an unfavourable one.

It turned out that David had indeed met Arcane Celestial Lorethi, but she wasn’t alone. Battle Celestial Hines was there with her, and David had to fight the two of them at once!

Hines wasn’t called the ‘Battle Celestial’ for no reason. He was basically the celestial variant of the Aidosian War god Canis, so he wasn’t an easy opponent and David was wounded against him.

In the end, the two of them were able to escape after Lorethi’s magic formation had sapped all the energy they needed.

“What happened on your end, Evan?”

“Belphont split his soul into at least two pieces. What I killed was only a third of the real thing. The rest is probably in Kreah.

Shit’s just so fucked up.”

Evan cursed as he ran his hands through his hair, and a second later, the doors slammed open as Emperor Lloris’ clone walked in with Isobel and the ‘Hammer Warlord’ Késhaun Edwards.

“Well, it’s about to get even more fucked up.”

All eyes turned to the cursing Emperor and he delivered grim news.

“Our hidden waypoints in Kreah have all been destroyed.”

“?!”

The hidden waypoints connecting Naxetus to Kreah were how they planned to directly enter the Trade City without having to fight the Legions of CelSols definitely waiting for them outside.

They were all put in places where the flow of energy from the energy veins underground would cloud one’s senses and prevent them from detecting the spatial fluctuations of the Teleportation Waypoints.

“Unless they had a Laurene on their side, there’s no way they should have been able to find those things!”

Evan had Chief Grand Magus Gavin personally make these waypoints and customize them, before having Leviah sneak them into Kreah using her subordinate Mercenaries.

Level 800s would’ve had a hard time detecting them, so the FCDs who weren’t on that level should not have been able to find them—or so they thought.

The reality, however, was far different from expectations.

“We have no idea how they found it, but what we know is we need another way to head there now.

Kreah is hundreds of kilometres away. It’s a distance we can run, but that’d consume stamina that we need to deal with the CelSol legions.

If we use a teleportation spell, then whoever teleports us would have to sit out the fight as the energy they’d consume would be too much.”

Just as Eliza finished speaking, a melodious chime emanated from Lloris’ pocket. The man reached inside and retrieved a communication device, its back adorned with a crest that Evan recognized.

He read the message there and his expression brightened up as he spoke.

“When I discovered the waypoints were compromised, I called in a favour.

Thankfully, that turned out well. Now, we not only have a ride to Kreah, but extra firepower as well.”

**ROOAARRRR!

As if on cue, a thunderous roar echoed through the air, shaking the ground beneath their feet.

The group exchanged quick, excited glances and rushed outside, their footsteps echoing through the corridors of the manor. As they burst through the doors and onto the sprawling lawn, their eyes were immediately drawn skyward.

High above, immense, majestic creatures with scales that glimmered like polished gemstones circled the city lord’s manor.

They numbered 15, and each one was at least Level 500.

The creatures above spread their leathery wings wide, their shadows stretching over the city lord’s manor as multiple roars followed, each one as mighty and bone-chilling as the first.

The Dragons of Dragondune had announced their arrival with an ensemble of mighty roars.
