Reincarnated Hero System

Chapter 826 - 826: Avatar of Pride: Complete Body Manifestation [Random Bonus]

While Evan was wrecking a straight line of destruction right through Kreah, his party members weren’t slacking.

“Ethereal Equilibrium: Combat Mode.”

Eliza’s floating spears shot forward at sonic speed, piercing through the heads of dozens of undead per second and forcefully returning these reanimated corpses to death.

Her life energy was an instant death poison for the undead, and it was more effective the stronger the undead was.

She used Life Energy Draining Prison to suck the Health out of the Beasts of Theron and converted their life energy to ether which she then used to power her Ethereal Equilibrium and Child of Life.

Nadarus summoned his ‘Evocation: Covetous Archers’, drawing upon all the ‘greed energy’ generated by the FCDs who were greedy for power.

The 5-foot tall humanoid archer constructs holding repeater crossbows fired arrows of the emotional energy and each one that hit dealt as much physical damage as 50% of Nadarus’ strength stat.

Mind you, that stat was currently SSS-, enough to violently fragment small mountains with his bare fists. Against these Level 300 monsters and CelSols with A Rank stats, a single hit was enough to put them down.

The CelSol commanders who were around Level 500 could tank the hits, but they were now debuffed and could not use 20% of their Strength for 20 minutes.

This wasn’t taking into account the strength Greed sapped with his Idiosyncrasy.

“When did you get that back?”

Roselia asked this as she saw the hooded Covetous Archers making strange noises as they fired their crossbows and Nadarus placed a hand on his chin and thought.

“Since last year, I guess?”

Even he wasn’t too sure when he recovered his old skill. Roselia simply nodded in silence, before channelling her demonic energy into her Incarnation Series Skill.

[Avatar of Pride; Partial Deployment: Right Arm.]

Energy surrounded her right arm and formed a giant dark red arm construct, wielding a giant replica of Vanitas which it swung down and cleaved flying monsters out of the sky.

“Why were you guys complaining about numbers earlier? You’re literally One-man armies.”

Laurene couldn’t help but ask as she saw the two Demon Siblings clearing out the skies with their skills, before turning her gaze to the side where a giant spear-wielding avatar was stabbing its weapon down into the ground.

“Now it looks like a competition of who’d destroy the city first. Evan, or Leviah.”

Just as she said that, the number of presences they could sense increased exponentially and with a surge of celestial energy, a new CelSol commander took to the skies and shouted.

[PROUD CELESTIAL SOLDIERS! CHARGE FORWARD! OUR ENEMIES ARE VASTLY OUTNUMBERED.]

His words prompted Nadarus, Laurene and even Leviah who was already in her rematch with Glazard to face-palm simultaneously.

As for Roselia, she just sighed and activated her ‘Contempt of the Many’.

|Contempt of the Many;

Type: Rare Active Skill

Effect;

It is futile to attempt to use numbers to overwhelm the user of this skill as the more adversaries they face, the stronger they become.

For daring to be hostile against the Deadly Sin of Pride, those under the effect of this skill experience a reduction in strength that scales of how many hostiles are present.

The more hostiles there are, the greater the weakening effect, but this in turn increases the energy cost for the skill and reduces the duration. |

As soon as she activated it, the flow of energies in Laurene’s worldview changed, and she could see the energy rising from the CelSol’s bodies and flowing towards Roselia.

She was literally seeing their ‘Pride to be Celestial Soldiers’ making the Demoness stronger.

[EMPREYAN FATE GUARD!]

The CelSol commander, shouting with an unnecessary intensity, invoked the power of fate. From this invocation, a colossal armoured construct of fate essence began to take form.

He directed this immense guardian towards Leviah, who was currently engaged in battle with Glazard, intending to provide aid to the FCD.

However, Roselia had no intention of letting this come to pass.

Drawing a deep breath, she gathered as much demonic energy as she could muster and intoned her command.

[Avatar of Pride: Complete Body Manifestation.]

“?!”

Nadarus turned to her with shock, which was understandable as if he remembered correctly, the ‘Complete Body’ was something they needed Legendary Level energy to achieve.

‘Unless…she’s using her power to augment the partial one!’

As Nadarus figured out the trick Roselia had pulled, the dark red construct on her arm changed.

It turned completely black, mirroring her aura, before liquifying and rising up her arm to engulf her entirely. The liquid mass of energy rapidly expanded, forcing everyone nearby to back away.

It consumed all surrounding matter before coalescing into a giant humanoid form, a pair of skeletal wings unfurling from its back, and a long one-handed sword materializing in its right hand.

The giant Empyrean Fate Guard sensed the surge of demonic energy and turned his head to see Roselia’s Avatar, his eyes within the construct narrowing as he turned the full construct around to face her.

He created a giant spear with thrust it towards her, but Roselia moved her hands and the Avatar mirrored her movements, swinging its blade and parrying the spear.

The Avatar’s free left hand reached forward and grabbed the Fate Guard’s neck, stepping forward and lifting it into the air with ease, before choke slamming it down on the ground where thousands of CelSols scrambled to escape.

She crushed the CelSols and monsters beneath the Fate Guard’s immense form, and before its caster could try to force himself back to his feet, Roselia’s blade thundered down, piercing through the construct’s head and impaling the CelSol commander’s body within.

Turning around, Roselia condensed the remaining power of the Avatar in her sword and released it as a beam of demonic light aimed straight for the centre of the city.

The beam surged forward, an unstoppable force of demonic might that pulverized buildings in its path, turning structures to dust and debris.

Seeing this destructive force, Glazard, who was locked in combat with Leviah, gritted his teeth.

He was the closest to it so he made the hard decision of turning around, ignoring the pain as the spear of the Demon of Envy who wouldn’t ignore her opponent giving her such an opening, struck his back.

Glazard swung Frostshade with all his might, and in the next second, a powerful and vast freezing air erupted from Frostshade, sweeping across the city. The extreme cold was relentless, encasing everything in its path in a thick layer of ice.

Roselia’s beam, which had been tearing through the city towards Faulin, instantly froze. The demonic light turned into a jagged, crystalline structure, suspended in mid-air. The freezing air continued to spread, blanketing over a hundred kilometres of area in a chilling grip.

Unable to maintain it anymore, Roselia had no choice but to disable the Complete Body manifestation while Leviah took advantage of the opportunity created by the circumstances to get another hit on Glazard, piercing his shoulder and nearly tearing his arm off.

“Haaa…”

Roselia sighed as her feet touched down on the ground, her fists clenched tightly.

“Progress…progress…”

When she was below Level 100, Roselia couldn’t even use her Incarnation Series Skill. To the skill, she was too weak to use it!

After reaching the Master Level, she regained the Partial Body Incarnation. At Level 300+, she could summon the Partial Body Incarnation with armour. At Level 500+, the Partial Body Incarnation’s attributes increased, in preparation for when she could summon the unarmoured Complete Body at Level 700.

Turning towards the side, she saw Nadarus sweeping through waves of monsters with Geomantic Wrath, while Milena and Amy burned and froze as many as they could with their AOE attacks.

Spirits were the best at this, so they were incapacitating droves of enemies with each spell.

However, the numbers of the CelSols seemed never-ending and it was too much to ask them to fight these tens of thousands all on their own.

Luckily, they didn’t have to do that for much longer.

At that moment, a mass surge of spatial energy erupted from outside Kreah, and tens of thousands of presences entered her perception.

Turning around, she looked up and saw a fleet of wyverns roaring loudly as they opened their maws and rained down breaths of flames and ice upon the CelSols.

At their centre was a formidable black dragon, atop which stood the imposing figure of the Emperor of Tarse.

[ATTACK FORMATION!]

The Emperor’s magic-infused voice boomed, echoing through the chaos. His command was met with a thunderous response from his soldiers, who stomped their feet on the ground in unison and chanted.

“””FOR TARSE! FOR THE EMPEROR!!!!!!”””

[CHARGE!]

Lloris roared and the thousands of soldiers surged forward, their battle cries piercing the air.

This was a sight that made Legion Celestial Fluviel frown deeply. Activating his Pseudo-Authority of Summoning, Fluviel called forth the remaining tens of thousands of CelSols and sent them charging towards the Tarse Army.

[FOCUS ON THE UNDEAD AND REGENERATING SOLDIERS.

LEAVE THE MAIN INSURGENTS TO THE HEROES!!]

Lloris barked out orders and the Warlords led their soldiers to follow his commands.

The dragons needed no orders; the sight of the bone wyverns and undead dragons incensed them, and they charged forth to annihilate those abominations without hesitation.

The scene erupted into a massive battle, with spells, auras, and celestial energy attacks flying through the air.

Laurene glanced at the portals from which the Tarsian soldiers emerged, quickly inferring that Lloris must have called upon any Tarsian Living Legends within Osaburg to combine forces and create spatial gates for their transport.

‘But the amount of energy required to transport over 100,000 soldiers is immense… They wouldn’t be able to bring everyone and wouldn’t be able to join the fight.

Still, this is enough for now. If the others come with the trains, we’d be able to match the CelSols’ numbers.’

Such thoughts crossed her mind as she turned around and spoke to David via Telepathy.

‘It’s our turn now.’

‘Roger.’

After hearing David’s swift response, Laurene roused her magic power, summoning Venus.

As the magic catalyst materialized and hovered in the air in front of her, she activated her Myriad Casting skill and gave a command.

“Activate All Elements.”

Venus glowed lightly as nine fist-sized orbs of pure magic power manifested behind her, something that would make Evan scream ‘Truth Seeker!’ if he saw them.

Eight of the nine orbs were then attributed with various elements of magic in response to her command.

Golden-Lightning, Red-Fire, Green-Wind, Brown-Earth, Blue-Water, Black-Dark, White-Light, Purple-Gravity.

The last orb remained transparent, showing the pure and non-attributed nature of the magic power contained within.

She then proceeded to give another command—one she would come to regret later.

“Mystic Eyes of Truth: Spell Auto-Analysis.”

The instant that any spell of any kind, be it magic or ether were to enter her field of view, it would be automatically analysed and its weak points would become visible to her. Combined with her Chant Revocation, she could send attacks targeting those weak points in an instant to destroy the spells!
