Reincarnated Hero System

Chapter 828 - 828: Ressurected Sun

Evan was burning through hundreds of CelSols and monsters each minute, leaving behind a trail of destruction in his wake.

Looking at Kreah from above, one would see a fat line of prismatic flames tearing through the city and heading towards the centre.

In fact, it was already very close.

CelSol commanders conjured Empyrean Fate Guards to try and attack him, but Evan dodged all their attacks, using his Frostborne Colossus to destroy them and using shockwaves to blast away the CelSols who created them.

One of the CelSol commanders charged at Evan with a sword of azure wind, but the boy didn’t even spare him a glance, just holding the Gazebind Aegis to block the slash before using a Shockwave to blow him away.

“Enough of that trick!”

This was the fourth time Evan and blasted him off with a shockwave, and his rage boiled over. He conjured a giant azure dragon of wind and sent it hurtling towards Evan with a loud roar, intending to break through the boy’s shield.

The dragon crashed into Evan with explosive force, sending him flying into a building. The impact triggered an explosion of flames, creating a cloud of dust and smoke.

‘Flames? I fired a wind dragon! Where did the flames come from?!’

The commander was bewildered.

As the dust settled, two shadows leapt out of the smoke, soaring above the commander’s head. His eyes widened in shock as he realized both figures were identical.

“Illusions?!”

He exclaimed in surprise, but then he saw the two Evans behead five CelSols each with a single aura slash.

“Clones!

Both are identical and they exude the same aura… which is the real one?”

Narrowing his eyes, the commander noticed that one of the two Evans didn’t have a glowing blade.

‘Perhaps… that’s the effect of a skill… in that case…’

He turned towards the one whose sword wasn’t glowing and fired his azure dragon of wind at it. The dragon chomped down on the body faster than it could defend, slamming it through two buildings and lifting it into the sky.

Suddenly, the ‘Evan’ shattered into fragments of light.

‘Reverse psychology?! He fooled me…!’

He had thought the glowing sword was an obvious bait and attacked the one without it, but it turned out that one was the clone.

Turning around, the commander blitzed through the air and conjured four more azure dragons, which converged on the remaining Evan from all sides.

With the boy occupied by the four dragons of wind, the CelSol commander charged in and stabbed him in the back, only for his body to glitch and shatter into fragments of light again.

‘Wait… that was the clone?! Then where’s the Original?’

The original Evan had used Lethe.

The first ‘Evan’ he attacked was actually the real one, and when he bashed him through the buildings, Evan activated Lethe and teleported with Blink, allowing a Factor Mimic to seamlessly take his place.

Amid his confusion, the CelSol commander felt a presence behind him. Evan, the real one, appeared with a deadly calm expression, his blade glowing with a fierce aura.

“Surprise motherfucker.”

Evan said coldly, thrusting his blade of destruction essence forward. The commander, caught off guard, barely had time to react as the blade pierced through him, unleashing a shockwave that sent him sprawling.

It was just like Evan to use a shockwave on him again even after knowing how pissed the man was about it.

Evan looked to the side and blocked the rain of spells that fell on him with the Gazebind Aegis, allowing the smoke and flames to provide a cover for him to use Lethe again.

He dashed through the city, eventually reaching the final defensive wall barring him from Faulin. It was made of thick celestial energy conjured by hundreds of CelSols and Legion Celestial Fluviel.

They were all warily looking around for Evan or his factor mimics, when a massive slash of flames suddenly hit the barrier at point-blank range, shattering it to oblivion and consuming all of them in a blaze.

By the time Evan’s legs touched the ground, they had all turned to ashes being blown away by the wind.

Without missing a beat, Evan propelled himself forward, blitzing straight toward Faulin. However, the Heavenly Celestial did not stand idly by.

Law energy surged from Faulin’s body, releasing a pillar of power that pierced the heavens.

His title, ‘Heavenly Celestial,’ was not just a moniker; it signified his dominion over the very elements under the heavens.

The sky rumbled and a tempest descended with a fury unmatched, as bolts of lightning cracked through the sky, aiming directly for Evan. The earth beneath Evan’s feet groaned and split apart, opening chasms from which torrents of water erupted, surging toward him in relentless waves.

Faulin’s mastery over the heavens extended further as the swirling clouds above dipped and twisted, forming colossal tornadoes. These whirling giants, infused with celestial energy, converged upon Evan, their destructive power tearing through everything in their path.

The lightning strikes intensified, each bolt carrying the wrath of the heavens. The churning water rose higher, a tsunami of raw power seeking to engulf Evan. The tornadoes, relentless and ferocious, spiralled with an unyielding force, pulling debris, earth, and even the very air into their cyclonic dance.

The very laws governing the world bent to Faulin’s will, creating an overwhelming combination of lightning, water, and wind; creating a maelstrom of chaos around Evan, each element vying to crush him under their might.

Before Evan could even begin to counter or avoid these strikes, his companions all jumped out of his shadow and dashed forward.

Milena sucked in a breath, cupping her palms in front of her mouth before releasing a breath of icy air that froze half the waves surging towards Evan. She then took control of the icy wave and used it to hold back the endlessly surging water.

Kayla activated her Pseudo-Authority and took control of the descending lightning, redirecting half the bolts to strike the CelSols, and the other half to shock the living daylights out of Fluviel!

Nadarus swung his sword forward and slammed it on the broken earth, using Geomantic Wrath to turn the surface to smooth crystals, even creating a ramp for Evan to run up.

Roselia burned her Demonic Energy and used her Deadly Sin Idiosyncrasy to divert the trajectory of the tornadoes, sending them in other directions and giving Evan a free path towards Faulin.

“Why, thank you.”

Evan spoke with a grin as he dashed forward, coating his sword with Ice, destruction essence and then prismatic flames—the Elemental Destruction Fusion that killed Craitid last year.

As his foot landed on the ramp Nadarus created, Evan muttered two words under his breath.

“Limit…Break.”

**BOOOMM!!!

Evan turned into a streak of crimson gold light, tearing through the air and arriving in front of Faulin in a second.

He held his blade overhead, activating World Sunder and swinging it down with all his might.

His target was not the Heavenly Celestial Faulin…but the World Magic Circle Faulin was standing atop!

If Evan destroyed the World Magic Spell as well as the energy hotspot underground, everything would become so much easier, so he never aimed for Faulin.

Faulin realised Evan’s move at the last second, hastily redirecting the energy he had used to defend himself to create overhead barriers to block Evan’s slash.

But even if he was a Legendary, Faulin did not have enough time to infuse the barrier with the kind of energy to tank Evan’s attack!

Time seemed to slow as Evan and Faulin locked eyes at that moment. The FCD seemed to be shouting something, but the sound did not enter Evan’s ears.

His sword descended with unrelenting force, tearing through Faulin’s barriers and streaking towards the ground. Suddenly—

“?!”

—Danger Sense blared an Alarm in his head!

Roselia’s eyes widened in shock, and Nadarus’ instincts screamed a warning.

Every Epic Level Existence in Kreah felt the chills course through them and in the same moment, a deep voice resonated with a single word.

¬Solguard¬

A colossal spherical disc of golden celestial energy manifested before Evan’s blade, bearing the two-dimensional image of a radiant star.

The moment Evan’s sword collided with it, the power clash fragmented the very fabric of space itself.

The disc of power rebounded Evan’s attack, forcing him to quickly withdraw as much of his energy as he could to prevent it from wasting.

Evan and everyone behind him were blown dozens of metres away by the resulting shockwaves, with the Hero landing on the crystal floor that Nadarus had created, stabbing his blade into it to anchor himself.

Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he deactivated Limit Break and focused on containing the retracted energy within his sword before raising his gaze.

Clouds of smoke and dust billowed around the city centre, obscuring the aftermath, and Evan began to speak, his voice steady.

“I waited.

I was patient for months.

I carefully constructed my plans.

I had backups in case things went wrong.

I involved people I was saving to deal with the Demonic Hand.

I was mere milliseconds away from busting the damned ritual. So why?”

The smoke began to clear, revealing a figure standing in front of Faulin with his hand stretched out.

“You’re supposed to be dead, so why the fuck are YOU here?!”

As the dust and smoke dissipated, a pair of emerald green eyes locked onto Evan. The boy called out with a mix of rage and disbelief.

“Sun Celestial Conroe!”

A lean and built body. Short silver-green hair, light green coloured eyes and a golden sun-shaped earring on his left ear. Dressed in light clothes and boots, with a cloak tied on his hip.

This man’s presence was one that brought a smile to Faulin’s face as he thought.

‘That’s my boy!’

He had the face of a proud father as he looked at Conroe standing before him, but Conroe didn’t turn to meet his father’s gaze. Instead, he looked at Evan with narrowed eyes and spoke.

¬I’d do you one better. ¬

Pointing right at Evan, Conroe asked a question no one expected at this juncture.

¬Why are YOU here, Prisma?!¬
