In the Hall of Statues in Wolfen, his tagline was ‘He, the one who came from the Beyond’. This man was one of the two ‘Supreme’ Demon Kings of this generation, just like how Ginaroad Sargon was in the future.

Kaylatheurge’s eyes widened when she heard the names Rilene called and she couldn’t help but question just what was so special about this planet.

“Why are there SEVEN Demon Kings watching this planet? That’s enough Demon Kings to oversee an entire Realm!”

|McEnda II’s there ‘cus of his son. Xagthor’s granddaughter’s there. I think she was engaged to McEnda’s son.

My daughter told me that there was an Agriker, and a Thorneheart there, so I guess those ones are watching their descendants.

As for the rest, I dunno. |

The more Kaylatheurge heard about this planet, the more dangerous it sounded to her. Again, she wondered what was going on through this woman’s head that she let her daughter stay in such a place.

|I wonder if she’s killed any of the god King descendants I told her to assassinate…|

“You’re using your daughter as a hitwoman?!”

Every word that came out of Rilene’s mouth seemed crazier than the last. What sort of mother used her daughter to assassinate the children of her political enemies?!

“I cannot comprehend how you became best friends with someone as calm and sane as Uvton.”

|Haha, you flatter me.|

“That wasn’t a compliment!”

Kaylatheurge felt like smacking sense into Rilene, but she quickly gave up as she’d tried to do so in the past and failed repeatedly.

|I wonder when Jamie’s gonna come here. He seemed busy when I told him about the distortion…|

“?! You told Westley?! He’s coming here???!!!”

Rilene’s eyes widened in surprise at Kaylatheurge’s intense reaction to her mutter. The Spirit had even grabbed her by the collar and pulled her close, her golden eyes burning with fierce intensity.

|…yeah, I did. He’s even better than me at space stuff and he sensed it too so I told him to come. |

“Fuck! Open a Spatial gate, get me out of here quick!”

Kaylatheurge cursed upon hearing about Demon King Westley’s impending arrival, wanting to get out of there before he came.

Rilene, however, was very confused about this.

|Why?|

“Obviously because I don’t wanna see him!”

|But aren’t you friends? You’ve also been in that star for what? 5 years or so? Say hello for a bit. |

“In what way do Jamie Westley and I look like friends?!”

Kaylatheurge questioned Rilene with an incredulous look on her face; as if she could not comprehend how anyone who knew them saw them as friends. Rilene on the other hand, could not comprehend how anyone could see them as anything but friends.

|You’re closer to Jamie than I am. You’ve known each other for over 3000 years and you’ve stuck together for centuries!

Yet you did all that without being ‘friends’? |

“Yes, I am not friends with that idiot, so let’s get out of here.”

Kaylatheurge unhesitatingly denied being friends with the man, but this brought the question of why she was seen with him so many times and appeared close enough that it was a consensus on the Interstellar stage that ‘Demon King Westley’ and ‘Spirit Empress Kaylatheurge’ were ‘close friends’.

The reason was rather simple.

‘He’s the only one who knows I’m the Star of Lightning!’

At this point in time, only Jamie Westley knew that Kayla was the consciousness of the ancient Orithyia Galaxy Supergiant Star. Why he was aware of this, however, was something only he and Kaylatheurge knew.

|Maybe…you guys are secretly dating?!—**KPAK!!!

The speed at which Kaylatheurge smacked Rilene’s head was faster than the light of the star behind them could even reach her skin. Her smack landed with enough force to send shockwaves rippling through the vacuum of space, but the person she smacked only just laughed.

|You know hitting me only makes it suspicious, right? Maybe you’re ‘friends with ben—**WHAM!!!!!

Kaylatheurge didn’t even let Rilene finish her words before hitting her again, but the goddess only laughed even louder.

“Get your mind out of the gutter.”

|Gutter? Come on, Jamie’s like the hottest guy I’ve ever seen. And you’re also a beauty yourself.

You have an unexplained close relationship which you claim isn’t ‘friends’, so what do you expect me to think? |

Rather than her reasoning for assuming the two were having that kind of relationship, Kaylatheurge was more concerned about this married woman talking about how ‘hot’ another man was.

“It’s nice your husband is not here to hear this.”

|Pfft…what’s he gonna say? He knows Jamie’s the best-looking Demon King and is secretly called the ‘King of Beauty’.

Besides, he’d be fine. He knows I love him second-best. |

“Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t your husband supposed to be number 1?”

In response to Kaylatheurge’s question, Rilene shook her head and declared with all seriousness.

|My daughter is number 1 for life! |

“And you let that same daughter into a demons’ den…”

Kaylatheurge really wanted to open up Rilene’s head and see how her brain worked. Still, she withheld her curiosity and told the goddess to open up the Spatial Gate to get them out of there.

|Fine…|

Rilene reluctantly agreed and activated her Spatial Authority.

|Oh, yeah. Let’s check out that cake shop on the Delta Continent—the one with the huge candy cone on the outside|

“Hmm…It’s been years since I last ate food. Let’s go.”

As they made their plans, the two women disappeared beyond the Spatial Gate, and the vacuum of space fell back into its natural silence.

It was White.

White as far as the eye could see.

Besides the occasional black dots that floated around mid-air, everything else was white.

In this space of infinite white, two people sat opposite each other, on white chairs, with a chessboard placed atop a white table in between them.

They were engaged in a heated game of chess, and after a short while, one of them declared his win after moving his knight piece.

He then leaned back on his seat and spoke.

“Everything seems to be in place.”

The man wore a black three-piece suit, with a similarly coloured shirt, tie, gloves, shoes, hat and a walking stick that rested on the side of his chair.

His facial features were constantly morphing from one appearance to another as if he could not settle on a particular one. In one moment, he looked like a young human man in his early twenties, the next he looked like a middle-aged demon who had lived millions of years.

“I noticed.”

The woman seated opposite him responded and the man’s ever-changing faces all began sporting mischievous grins. He got up to his feet and raised his walking stick high while proclaiming in a loud voice.

“Wonderful!”

Multiple floating screens manifested around him, displaying different people who were going about their activities.

One was unconscious, having just completed a journey through time minutes earlier. Another had returned after annihilating a city governed by lower gods. The third had left his Prime World to investigate a spatiotemporal disturbance.

“Different Times! Different Spaces! Different Universes!

All converging together for one singular, Nexus Event!”

He took off his hat and performed a neat stage bow, as a pair of closed red curtains manifested behind him.

“Let’s raise the curtains on the greatest crossover of all times.”

The man’s face morphed into that of a featureless humanoid, before a thin line appeared where his mouth was supposed to be, and curled up at the edges.

From here onward, till the end of the Blast From The Future Arc is a Crossover like has just been announced.

If you’ve read my other novel: Godslayer’s Legend, up to the current time, then some things would be very familiar to you.

But at the same time, there would be A LOT of things that would be completely alien as in Godslayer’s Legend (GSL), the crossover happens from Arthur’s perspective, and Evan is just another character there.

Here, however, Evan is the main character and we see things from his point of view; many, MANY things that do not happen in GSL since they occurred when the protagonist of that novel was NOT nearby, nor was he the focus.

We’d see many GSL characters, some of which have already made appearances in RHS.

Like Alvey, for example; he and McEnda III are originally GSL characters.

We’d see a younger, less inhibited Artemisia; gain more insights to the life of this goddess and maybe get why she was so adamant about hiding things from Evan.

We’d understand a lot about Evan’s past which he only knows a little about, why the FCDs kept calling him Prisma, and the official reveal of his original race which some of you have long since guessed.

We’re definitely gonna see more of Kayla, along with this ‘Demon King Westley’ everyone’s been talking about.

On the Demon King matter, we’re gonna learn a more about Gozon and Aidos during their heyday as Interstellar Hegemons.

Most importantly, we’d see Evan getting a whole LOT stronger than before.
