Chapter 908 - 908: “Let’s Start Breaking Limits.”
“Harbinger of Ice: Glacial Annihilation.”
As Evan unleashed the Ultimate Technique of his Unique Series Skill, raw, frozen energy surged forward, a cataclysmic wave of icy destruction cascading over everything in his path.
He did restrain it to avoid damaging the ship behind him, but even restrained, the sheer power was undeniable.
A fierce blizzard erupted from his attack, enveloping the surrounding area in a raging storm of frost and snow. Freezing winds howled, whipping razor-sharp shards of ice through the air that shredded the sea monsters, ripping their bodies apart and leaving them frozen solid within moments.

“Oh, seems I was already close to 606.”
Evan noted as he landed atop the frozen remains of a creature, quickly opening his status board to glance over his updated stat Levels.
“SSS Intelligence for the win. Now my magic would be stronger.”
More sea monsters charged toward him in the meantime. Starting with a group of Sea Serpents resembling Crarox, though they were far smaller in size.
While Crarox’s body stretched kilometres of meters long, these serpents were only about a dozen meters each. Estimating their power, Evan quickly gauged they were all below Level 600.
In other words, nothing he couldn’t handle.
The serpents bared their fangs, roaring as they unleashed Aqua Breaths in his direction. But instead of dodging, Evan calmly activated his Elemental Shield Skill, setting the element to water.
A translucent, shimmering sphere of water magic enveloped him, and the Aqua Breaths crashed into the barrier, their forceful streams colliding violently with his shield.
Elemental energies clashed, sending bursts of steam and mist swirling around him as the shield absorbed the brunt of the attacks.
However, the sustained breaths ended up proving too much as cracks began to form on the shield, spiderwebbing outwards until it finally shattered.
‘Well, I guess that’s the limit. If I want any more defence, I’d have to use the Gazebind Aegis or Stout Guardian.
Oh, let me deactivate Titanium body so I can gauge just how much durability I have on default…’
If the monsters knew that Evan was using them to test his new level of power, then they’d be absolutely livid.
For better or worse, they could not read his mind.
‘Come to think of it…I didn’t use the Gazebind Aegis against Rezaemon…’
The realization hit Evan just as his Elemental Shield fractured, and one of the Aqua Breaths burst through.
Instinctively, he threw up an arm to block, but the pressurized water beam smashed into him with crushing force, launching him off the frozen monster’s remains and sending him hurtling through the air.
He crashed into the hull of a nearby ship, the impact rattling the vessel so violently it threatened to tip over.
“Whoa!”
Reacting quickly, Evan kicked off the hull, landing on a platform of ice he created just as his feet skimmed the water’s surface.
Without a second’s hesitation, he flung his palms out, conjuring multiple golden chains that shot forth and anchored themselves to the tilting ship.
With a powerful pull, he steadied the vessel, restoring its balance before it could capsize.
“Phew…that was close.”
Evan glanced down at the fractured Illusory Imperial Scales on his forearm, with blood trickling from the wound left by the Aqua Breath.
“It’s not as much damage as I expected.”
Muttering this, he activated his Paladin Skill’s Limited Healing, watching as the flesh was mended slowly.
Turning his gaze back to the sea serpents rushing toward him, his eyes glowed.
“It’s MY TURN now.”
Evan’s mouth opened as he condensed magic power into a vibrant orb shimmering with every colour in the light spectrum. In seconds, the orb transformed into a devastating beam of prismatic light, burning through the air with scorching heat.
The Dragon Breath tore across the waves, disintegrating the smaller sea creatures into ash upon contact. The weaker monsters barely had time to scream before they vanished, obliterated by the fiery brilliance.
The larger sea serpents, though, tried to dodge, but Evan turned his head and followed them with his breath.
The first two serpents were engulfed, their scales melting as they were consumed, leaving only wisps of black smoke.
The third serpent, unlucky enough to be caught head-on, was split in two, its charred remains plunging into the sea with a hiss of steam.
The final two managed to dive, vanishing into the waves, but the heat of Evan’s breath caused the water to evaporate rapidly, leaving a trail of scalding steam in its wake. Even underwater, the esoteric flames reached them, burning fiercely though their power had waned.
Evan ceased the breath, smoke drifting from his lips as he exhaled.
“Could only kill 3 of them, huh?”
He sensed a surge of energy immediately after saying that and looking up, he saw an ash-coloured, almost liquid-like substance dripping from the sky.
The strange matter coalesced, forming a translucent barrier that settled around him in a dome-like shape.
‘They’ve activated the concealment formation? Did they send an SOS already? Arthur destroyed that Gravity Well so it should not be distorting the Radio Signals anymore…’
“Oh well, I guess I can go all out now.”
Reaching down, he slotted several magic stones into the Energem Reclaimer on his right arm. He then drew his sword and lifted his gaze to the horde of monsters gathering around him.
‘That Yedrist guy left behind a large army for his son—more EXP for me.’
Evan thought this as he activated one of his skills to triple his already tripled power.
“Let’s start Breaking Limits.”
The moment he said that, Evan vanished.
The Sea Monsters were confused.
The smarter ones instantly spread out their auras and went on guard, assuming he had a concealment skill.
Although they weren’t wrong, Evan didn’t use any form of concealment.
**BOOM!!
“?!”
When it heard that sound a good 4 seconds later, one of the sea monsters instantly realised what had happened.
‘He didn’t conceal himself! He moved faster than we could perceive!’
But alas, it was too late.
Because by the time the monster had that thought, his head was already flying through the air.
It wasn’t just him. Heads of Sea Serpents flew through the air and blood dyed the ocean red.
A fishman snapped its head in Evan’s direction and immediately, Danger Sense sent an alarm, allowing Evan to know that despite his speed, there were still those who could track him.
‘Then I’d just not use speed anymore.’
With that thought, he teleported, appearing behind the Fishman who lost sight of him and stabbed his sword through its chest.
[Kuak!]
He didn’t give the monster time to even think about counteracting and pulled out his blade, stabbing it two more times in a single breath, then he kicked off the monster’s back and swung his blade wildly, each slash releasing a Blade Cannon that tore its back to shreds.
[Level Up]
‘There we go…’
Evan smiled under his mask as he somersaulted over a projectile attack and teleported, reappearing beside the one who sent it flying and lopping off their arm in a single slash.
He didn’t even let it scream and stabbed his sword into the monster’s open mouth, angling it in a way that the blade pierced out of its brain.
Suddenly, a giant tentacle flashed in from the corner of his vision and he summoned the Gazebind Aegis, blocking the mass of flesh.
Looking in that direction, he saw that a giant Kraken was holding up several demons and squeezing the life out of them, with its other tentacles reaching out to ships and picking up more of them.
“Oh, big EXP bag!”
Evan acted like a kid getting a new toy and then shouted at the Kraken.
“Hey, big guy! Look at ME!”
The dozen or so tentacles heading for the ships all switched directions and shot towards Evan at sonic speed.
Not crazy enough to block that with his small shield, Evan activated Stout Guardian and let the Giant Shield-bearing Knight handle the heavy lifting.
The powerful tentacles laced with poison magic and paralysis debuffs slammed into the shield and cracks rippled through the surface.
Evan summoned his Frostborne Colossus and made it swing its ice sword down on the tentacles to slice them in half.
The sight of the two giant constructs gave Evan an idea but execution had to wait until he was done with this Kraken.
Sensing the danger behind his Frostborne Colossus’ slash, the Kraken let go of some of the demons it held and swung its tentacles to divert the blade’s trajectory, but those tentacles never reached as a beam of prismatic flames tore through them and turned them to charred meat.
[KREUIIKK!!]
“What sort of strange roar is that?! Anyway, roasted squid coming up.”
Flames burst out from Evan’s body, spreading across the surface of the ocean. He redirected them all into his blade, forming his Elemental Destruction Fusion before kicking off the ice platform he was standing on.
The Kraken roared again and lashed out at him with multiple tentacles, determined to kill this small figure who made its tentacles unable to regenerate.
It was in even more pain as the Frostborne Colossus had cut about 6 of the 12+ it had attacked Evan with earlier.
Evan dodged the first tentacle, spun around to generate momentum and then sliced it off. A second one came a moment later and Evan flipped in the air and swung his blade, turning one tentacle into finely cut slices.
A third and fourth came in the same moment and he used Vindiction’s Strike to blow one away, while his hand launched an energy blast that knocked away the fourth.
Spinning again, Evan used Hell Unleashed to torch the next four tentacles that shot at him who was mid-air, and then he unfurled his wings and beat them fiercely.
Sound was left behind as Evan blitzed past the fishmen trying to block his path to the Kraken’s main body, using Elemental Shield to block the attacks that came from in front.
‘Harbinger of Ice: Glacial Dominion.’
He landed on the water and a surge of cold energy escaped from his body, enveloping the water around him in a shimmering veil of Ice. The once-churning waters froze solid, transforming into a vast expanse of crystalline ice that stretched a kilometre wide.
‘Elemental Skewer.’
Spears burst forth from the ground and impaled the monsters who were frozen faster than they could break out, but the Kraken—a Superior Stage Epic beast—was different.
With a violent shake, it shattered the ice surrounding it, roaring as it broke free. In retaliation, it spat a torrent of thick, black ink toward Evan, the inky substance gleaming with a corrosive sheen.
Evan raised his hand, and a towering wall of ice surged up to intercept the attack, freezing the black ink mid-air.
