Chapter 913 - 913: Endgame for Crarox
In a desperate bid, Crarox began casting a transformation spell, his form shrinking and shifting as a green light enveloped him.
He had nearly completed the shift into his human form when Arthur teleported right before him, with his fist drawn back, swirling with condensed Law energies.
“SUPER-DUPER Weighted Impact Punch.”
With every ounce of his strength, Arthur’s punch drove into Crarox’s half-transformed form, the destructive energy surging through his fist shattering the Leviathan’s spell, forcing his colossal 2-kilometre-long body to reappear mid-air.
The impact from Arthur’s gravity-infused strike sent the massive creature hurtling through the sky like a ragdoll, crashing onto the land below. As he hit the ground, Crarox reverted fully, coughing up blood.
Arthur launched forward to follow up, but suddenly his path was cut off by the streaking Anti-Air missiles of the Aramisians.
With the Demon forces already on their shores, the Aramisian military was responding with full force, launching a relentless missile barrage. They had even scrambled airships to strike at the Demon Navy, and, as fate would have it, Arthur found himself directly in their path.
One missile zipped past him, prompting an idea.
With a snap of his fingers, he slowed time, observing the missile’s trajectory and the launch site below. Seeing no sign of civilian settlements, he grinned and seized the missile, infusing it with dense destruction energy.
Then, with a powerful swing, he sent it hurtling toward the military base.
As time resumed, the Aramisian General who had ordered the strike was horrified to see the redirected missile. He hurled a spear of divinity to intercept it, but his action proved a grave miscalculation.
**KAAABOOOOOMMMM!!!!!
A blinding flash erupted, followed by an explosion of devastating magnitude. The shockwave tore through the air, obliterating the base, reducing fortified structures to rubble, and scorching the ground to ash.
The General’s last thought, as he was consumed by the flames, was one of disbelief at the missile’s transformation from a weapon capable of blowing a few buildings away into a force akin to a nuclear blast.
Meanwhile, Arthur was already en route to the Aramisian fleet. Approaching their airships, he clasped his hands together, channelling gravity to mirror his actions. The airship nearest him was caught between two immense gravitational forces, imploding under the pressure.
“I think it was like this…”
Swirling gravitational energy around the shattered wreckage, Arthur attempted to replicate one of Crarox’s skills.
The same one Evan had just Mimicked.
“No…I need to fine-tune it like this…”
Adjusting his control, he focused, refining the skill with each moment.
In mere seconds, Arthur’s comprehension of the law of gravity enabled him not only to replicate but to improve upon the skill. He centred the destroyed airship, pulling the others nearby into its gravitational field with tremendous force.
The ships hurtled toward one another, colliding in a spectacular display of destruction.
“Indeed, a Gravitational Maelstrom.”
He spoke with satisfaction, watching as the fleet succumbed to the powerful gravitational pull, their remains twisting and crumpling.
Evan silently watched as Arthur ignored the dead Aramisians and charged forward, heading straight for the Leviathan charging towards him like a snake on land.
He had never properly seen Arthur fight before, so he was curious about the boy’s real prowess.
Crarox hurled a storm of boulders through the air, each one charged with gravity and speeding toward Arthur, but the Progenitor effortlessly dodged them, before freezing time to teleport behind the Leviathan.
“Lostvayne.”
He summoned the sword that gave Evan chills just by looking at it—the same Sword a Demon King had claimed had more power than their weapon—and swung the blade downwards, unleashing a powerful silver energy slash that ripped through space with ease.
The strike cleaved through scaled flesh, slicing the Leviathan’s tail clean in half. A scream of agony tore through the air as blood splattered across a nearby mountaintop, staining it a deep crimson.
Furious, Crarox turned and unleashed an Aqua Breath in Arthur’s direction, a torrent of water powerful enough to decimate anything in its path. But Arthur dodged, teleporting directly under Crarox’s maw.
With an uppercut, he redirected the Leviathan’s breath skyward, where it dissipated harmlessly.
Arthur pointed his palms toward the ground, clenching his fists before pulling upwards as if dragging something. A powerful gravitational upforce was generated, lifting the massive Leviathan off the ground and suspending it in the air.
In response, Crarox used his Prism Pulse skill, manipulating light into razor-sharp shards and hurling them at Arthur. But the deadly beams veered off, deflected by Arthur’s gravity shield.
‘Ohh, that’s how the skill is used…’
Evan nodded in understanding, taking notes for his new skill from its original owner as he continued watching the climax of the battle.
Crarox fired multiple Hydrobursts, each one a tidal wave of water energy crashing towards Arthur. Some surged wildly, crashing into the earth and drenching the battlefield, while others zeroed in on their target.
Arthur countered them with blasts of Destruction Energy, each clash igniting the air in brilliant flashes of opposing forces.
Abruptly, Arthur released the gravitational hold, letting Crarox fall back to the earth with a thunderous crash. The ground shook, sending seismic ripples across the landscape as dust plumed into the sky.
Amidst the swirling dust, Arthur dashed forward, delivering a punishing uppercut to the Leviathan.
With his hand raised, he summoned Lostvayne once more, drawing in the ambient cosmic energy Evan could not see.
After combining his multiple powers, Arthur poured in more cosmic energy to stabilize the fusion.
Holding Lostvayne at a diagonal, he spoke two words in a dead calm voice.
|¬Extreme Nothingness. ¬|
A jagged slash tore through the air, its arc spanning the distance between Arthur and Crarox in an instant.
It delivered a clean surgical cut, severing the Leviathan’s head in a one go.
Crarox, poised to unleash a final attack, froze, his eyes wide in stunned disbelief as he lost all feeling below his neck.
Vision fading, he saw Arthur float closer, the Progenitor’s eyes glowing red and blue. Arthur pushed the Leviathan’s neck to the side and it silently fell off its head, crashing down with a loud noise.
The rest of Crarox’s body followed, and Arthur lifted the severed head still dripping with blood and ascended high into the sky, facing in the ocean’s direction.
He looked right at the Triton’s Ark and the High Ranked Demons there saw him, taking this as a signal to begin Phase 2 of their plan.
At this point, Evan had already turned his gaze away, taking a seat on the deck of one of the demon army ships docked at the Aramisian shores.
◇ ◇ ◇
As Evan finally set foot on the shores of Plomux, a soft chuckle escaped his lips at the sight before him.
A colossal pillar jutted from the ground, reaching for the heavens as if attempting to pierce the sky.
Except, it wasn’t piercing the sky but the severed head of the Leviathan Crarox, placed there by Arthur like a monument to his victory.
He tossed on his overcoat and hopped on multiple Void Steps, heading over to where Arthur and the other High-Ranked Demons were.
Some demons who spotted and recognized him began chanting his title, bestowing upon him a flurry of additional monikers which Evan noticed were sticking to his status board.
‘Vortex Dragon?
Elemental Rogue Hero?
Masked Dragon?
Thank the stars they’re marked as “temporary” titles…’
As he landed on the floor and walked within a certain range of Arthur, Danger Sense began reacting.
‘Damn…Arthur’s pretty strong.’
That thought crossed Evan’s mind as he saw the way Danger Sense reacted to Arthur’s presence.
It wasn’t that he had doubted Arthur’s strength before; after all, he had seen the Progenitor’s status. However, witnessing Arthur in action was an entirely different experience.
‘Now I see why my Danger Sense skill is always emitting a low warning whenever he’s nearby. Even when he isn’t doing anything.’
Arthur was simply engaged in conversation with some Demons, yet Danger Sense was giving off a low warning.
The incident with Margaux had provided only a glimpse of Arthur’s capabilities, but seeing the boy’s full power on display today made Evan question their age parity.
‘Well, technically I am older than him by a few years but in this body, we’re in the same age group…’
Shaking off the thought of age, Evan redirected his focus to Arthur’s power, activating Full Appraisal to examine his status.
‘As I thought… he’s become a Superior Stage.’

What’s more, he’s only ‘Moderately Exhausted’? After all of that?’
Evan rolled his eyes and shook his head in disbelief, then shifted his gaze down to Arthur’s Skill list.
“Wait…what?”
He couldn’t help but exclaim as he spotted two new skills that had been added. Arthur had mentioned before that, since he came from a different universe without the Devour Class System, any action that this system recognized as a ‘Skill’ would automatically be added to his Skill tab.
This meant his Skill list was continuously updated.
Because of this, Evan understood why ‘Gravitational Maelstrom’ was now included—he had witnessed Arthur replicate the skill’s effects with his comprehension of gravity laws.
‘It makes sense he’d be able to do that if he comprehends the law of gravity itself…but I’m sure he did not use Prism Pulse, so how come he has it?’
Evan had watched the end of Arthur’s fight closely and had seen when Arthur used Gravitational Maelstrom to crush some airships. That was why he was certain Arthur had not used Prism Pulse.
Yet, there it was, right on his Skill tab.
It seemed Arthur had possessed some other ability that Evan was unaware of, and whatever it was, it likely accounted for his acquisition of Crarox’s skill.
‘Is it in his Unique Skill tab?’
