Chapter 1696 - 1696: Cursed Avian Sky King: Quetzalcoatl
—–
The party faced a powerful foe, the King of these cliffs, apparently, and the beast that Justicio had managed to scare away by cutting its beak apart and keeping it as a prize for himself.
However, unlike what they believed, the beast didn’t escape forever, coming back once its wound was healed and it no longer bled, and unleashing the wrath of the heavens themselves upon them all.
Aquarina was honestly surprised at what she saw, this giant bird was actually stronger than the Giant Fire Ants they’ve fought before, and with none of their weaknesses.
[Cursed Avian Sky King: Quetzalcoatl (Tier 8: Rank 6)]
The Cursed Avian Sky King, which even had a name Quetzalcoatl, seemed to not be a creature that was messing around anymore.
After Justicio scared it off for a few hours, it came back with raging revenge, roaring ferociously as it unleashed its true power, wind magic.
Indeed, as Aquarina had thought before, bird-type monsters often types held great power over the element of winds, unless they were specifically of another element.
By seeing this creature, she remembered one of Arafunn’s Familiars, which was a giant, green-feathered bird, the Tempest Eagle. However, the Tempest Eagle was able to speak and was a Tier 10 Beast, on another whole dimension than the Sky king.
Nonetheless, this Sky King, based solely on its Tier level… Might be the strongest foe Aquarina and her friends confront in this entire region.
Perhaps the strongest Aquarina has ever fought since she got here…
And naturally, she was quite excited.
The challenge was substantial, the giant bird had a massive advantage in the skies, and it could manipulate the winds seamlessly.
Aside from that, it seemed to have no weaknesses. It Probably ended taking so much damage from Justicio because it underestimated him and went for a direct attack.
If it wasn’t for Justicio’s axe though, which was forged with a bit of pseudo Orichalcum coating, he could have taken heavy damage from that attack alone.
“CRYAAAAH!”
The Sky King roared as it saw Aquarina’s overwhelming Aura emerging from her!
FLUOOOSH!
The winds surrounding it took shape, resembling dozens of spiraling tornadoes that descended rapidly, with enough power and force to shred to pieces the stone of the cliff.
“HAAAH!”
Aquarina infused her Aura into her body, and then rapidly underwent Draconification, there wasn’t any point on starting small right now, she went all-out, activating her [Abyssal Adamantine Dragon Transformation] and covering her entire body with black scales, while her arms and legs became dragon-like, she grew a long tail, and although she had no wings, her head also was covered by draconic scales, forming a biological helmet above her head resembling a roaring black dragon with six horns and even a crimson eye on her forehead.
Every time Aquarina used this transformation through the skill, her major elements all converged together with her Physique and her Innate Abilities. Her Abyssal Embodiment, her Dragon Heart, her Spirits infused into her own body, and now, even her Spiritual Aura Embodiment, reinforcing her monstrous yet overpowered form even further.
CRAAASH!
She compressed her own Aura and her Abyssal Energies into her fists, creating a massive shockwave as she clashed against the tornadoes themselves, something that even her friends thought impossible, as winds were things that simply couldn’t be stopped with physical power.
And yet, Aquarina showed them that with enough strength, there’s nothing you cannot stop!
TRUUUUMMM!!!
“GRRRHH?!”
The Sky King seemed shocked as Aquarina’s attacks generated massive shockwaves, spreading black ice through the skies that overpowered its emerald wind magic, clashing against as the black ice took the shape of a hydra.
“CRYAAH!”
The beast roared angrily, facing the Spirtual Aura Embodiment Construct that Aquarina created in a single second, as its entire body overflowed with a crimson aura, piercing through the ice while flying around it, zigzagging through the entire thing!
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
“Hoh, alright, not bad…”
Aquarina smiled, looking back at her friends.
“You guys quickly get ready to fly! I’ll distract it, you come after it once it is fully focused on attacking me, alright?”
“Okay!”
Justicio and Silvia quickly unleashed their Physique’s Transformations, gaining insectoid armor and mechanical armor respectively, their Spirits overflowing with their Spiritual Auras and infusing them on their bodies for a greater boost.
As this happened, Agua used her Water Spirit Transformation to turn her legs and arms into Aqua Legs and Arms, and then controlling the water produced by them, dividing it into hundreds of water spheres of high-pressure water.
“I’ll attack from the distance!”
As Agua prepared, Pyuku looked from afar, and nodded, preparing himself to fight as well, as he spread out a pair of wings made out of his own slime, imitating the texture and shape of a bird’s wings.
“I can fly as well, so I’ll support you, Aquarina.”
“Thank you!”
Aquarina clashed against the bird, who greeted her with its sharp talons, it was unable to peck at her without its beak, a great nerf to its immense physical power.
CRAAASH!
“Oof! For being a chicken you sure pack a punch!”
“CRYAAAH!”
The Sky king roared angrily, clashing against Aquarina and kicking her several times, before slashing her arms with the sharp claws of its wings!
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
Combined with his Aura and his Winds, he unleashed a technique! Aquarina was shocked as her entire body was covered in slashing attacks, her sharp scales resisting quite well, but gaining cracks.
As Aquarina swung her fists to punch it, the bird disappeared from his original position, appearing behind her and kicking her in the back, unleashing an explosion of spiraling, cutting winds!
BAAAAM!
“This bastard’s not only strong but he’s quick as hell!”
Aquarina didn’t give up though, her Aura manifesting Spiritual Constructs as she used her Spiritual Aura Embodiment and her Abyssal Embodiment together.
“ROOAARR!”
A three headed abyssal sea serpent manifested, biting through the aura of the Sky King and then about to swallow him whole.
“CRYAAH!”
The Sky King cried back, its cry generating shockwaves that destroyed Aquarina’s Beast Aura in an instant.
BOOOM!
