Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 1806: Quetzal’s Arrival

Chapter 1806: Quetzal’s Arrival

“GRAAAAAACK!”

In a desperate attempt, the ant screamed loudly. His Soul Weapon manifested once more, as over fifty of his Grimoire Pages summoned powerful icy and blazing spells at once, bombarding Quetzal from every angle.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

“Shit! That thing still has so much Mana?” Justicio asked angrily.

Aquarina quickly stood up, her hands oozing with Miasma as she rapidly spread a strange, swamp-like domain with everything she had.

“Yeah, we’ll have to drain some of that!”

In her fight against the powerful Blazing Ant Queen she had battled before coming here, Aquarina learned various new abilities that her Abyssal Embodiment and the Elements she could create with it possessed.

Among them was the ability to drain lifeforce and Mana when the Miasma produced by her Abyssal Embodiment touched a foe’s wounds or entered their bodies. This was an ability derived from the very foe who had used it. She didn’t know if she had copied that ability or if her Miasma had a similar ability that awakened due to the stimulation of facing a similar one.

She had beaten that Ant Queen through the reversal of such an ability. Hence, she could now use it herself, although not at the full power that the ant could.

Nonetheless, this was Aquarina’s last stand!

FLUOOOSH!

Amidst the explosions, a burst of emerald winds manifested as Quetzal emerged unscathed, although annoyed by the bombardment of spells. His winds and the immense pressure they unleashed were able to disintegrate the spells, while he started making his way through, flying toward the monster.

“KRAAAAHHHH!”

However, with his immense magic, the ant’s Grimoire Pages unleashed destructive spells, merging them over and over again until a great part of the nest started exploding and falling apart constantly.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

“KEHEHEHE! I’M INVINCIBLEEEEEE!”

As the ant laughed while seeing even Quetzal struggle to push through the endless magical assault, black Miasma slowly moved toward his feet, touching them and entering his many wounds.

“UGH?”

He felt an agonizing, piercing pain through his entire body as his Mana started to be rapidly siphoned toward Aquarina, whose Aura grew very powerful.

“{Mana-Devouring Miasmic Swamp Domain}!”

FLUOSH!

“KRAAAAHHH! M-MY MANA?”

The ant gasped in disbelief, glaring at Aquarina furiously as his Mana began to be rapidly emptied. It happened so quickly that the monster could hardly believe it.

“You happen to have the most Mana I’ve ever seen in a living being aside from Sylphy, so thanks for the meal, jackass!”

As Aquarina laughed, she absorbed all the Mana she could, fully restoring her pool and then accumulating several times that in total, redistributing it to her friends and refilling their own Mana Pools as well, while healing them, completely revitalizing their bodies and minds.

This ability was called “Mana Transfer” and was something Sylphy constantly used on her family and friends. Similar to her new Draining Ability, Aquarina was able to reverse it, giving her own Mana to her friends as a result.

As this happened, the ant panicked, quickly manifesting a massive sphere of freezing flames above Aquarina and her friends, desperately launching it at them with everything he had.

“{FROZEN NOVA}!”

TRUUUM!

The giant frozen nova descended at rapid speed, reaching Aquarina and her friends, who quickly unleashed their Beast Auras at full power, combining them and pushing back the spell, at the same time as Quetzal rushed toward the ant. Both of his mechanical wings detached from his back, leaving only his normal wings behind, and fused into two long green, silver, and golden scimitars.

“HAAAAAH!”

By channeling all of his power at once, the Avian Anima unleashed a destructive storm of slashing attacks, cutting through the ant’s tough body and ultimately its Soul Weapon.

“{Divine Wingblade Storm Dance}!”

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

The ant vomited blood as it felt its entire body being slashed apart, blood and guts splattering everywhere as its limbs flew away and exploded into ashes.

“UUUAAAGGGGHHHHH!”

With a final agonizing scream, the monstrous, resilient ant died, its body disappearing on the spot, while Quetzal sighed in relief, glancing as his winds consumed his foe entirely, realizing just how strong he had become now.

“It’s finally over, damn it… That bastard was tough,” Aquarina sighed in relief. “But where the hell are we? We ended up falling down…”

“Yeah… But I feel refreshed, thanks a lot, Aquarina,” Justicio said. “The battle isn’t even over though, what a pain…”

“Yeah, we have to quickly regroup with Aquarina’s parents,” Silvia nodded.

“But first, let’s greet him,” Aquarina smiled, crossing her arms. “Well done, Quetzal! If it wasn’t for your help, we wouldn’t have made it.”

“I’m glad I made it in time, barely,” sighed Quetzal. The little spirit of Agua was by his side, which quickly flew toward Aquarina and fused with her body, giving her a boost in power. “Agua here helped me a lot as well, thank you.”

“A-Ahhh, it’s nothing! Heheh…” Agua giggled as she felt embarrassed and flustered by Quetzal’s words of praise, fidgeting with her long blue hair.

“She looks really happy, huh?” Justicio wondered.

“She’s head over heels for the guy, after all,” Silvia giggled.

“W-What are you talking about?” Agua became flustered, growing red with embarrassment. “P-Please don’t mind what they said, they’re just joking…”

“The only ant left should be the Saintess…” Aquarina said. “I can feel her powerful presence. She’s currently fighting my parents… I don’t know if we’ll be of any help in that battle. I’m sure my parents can handle her just fine. But we should get there anyway. Whatever is behind these ants is the real boss, and even my parents will need some help.”

“Right, even that monster’s presence can be felt from here,” Quetzal said. “We should quickly get to it and not waste any more time if possible. The faster we get there, the better. Climbing would not be good either. I’ll bring you along.”

Quetzal quickly grabbed everyone with either his talons or his hands and flew upward at rapid speed. He had to get there as quickly as he could.
