Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 1826: Celebrations

Chapter 1826: Celebrations

—–

While Aquarina was reviewing her progress and observing the party and the people celebrating, she suddenly heard someone calling her from behind. Turning around, she saw her friend Silvia approaching with a wide, bright smile. Silvia appeared joyful at the celebrations, enjoying the songs and food like everyone else.

“Aquarina! You’re here! Come! Let’s celebrate!” Silvia called out, drawing near. The rest of Aquarina’s friends were close by, sitting on the grass around a large bonfire, mingling with others. Silvia wore a beautiful white dress adorned with colorful patterns.

“Ah! Hi! Silvia, how are you?” Aquarina asked, walking to her side.

“I’m doing fine! A lot has happened since that battle, but we’ve all recovered fairly well, I’d say,” Silvia nodded. “Justicio’s eating a lot, and so is Quetzal… Agua seemed to miss you too.”

“Heh, well, let’s go then!” Aquarina agreed, hurrying to her friend’s side.

There, she joined her friends, who greeted her warmly after seeing she was doing well.

“Oh, hey, Aquarina! Are you feeling alright? I heard you took the most damage…” Justicio said. “Thanks for saving our lives…”

“Aquarina!” Agua ran toward Aquarina, hugging her tightly. “We heard you shielded us with your body… If you didn’t have divine protection, you would have died…!”

“Hahah, well, I did what I had to do,” Aquarina said. “I knew I would survive, so don’t worry.”

Aquarina patted Agua’s head and then approached the rest of her friends. Many others greeted her as well.

“It’s her!”

“Our heroine!”

“She’s here! She’s here!”

“Please eat this!”

“And this!”

“Have this too, heroine!”

Dozens of people surrounded Aquarina, offering her delicious food unique to Oasis Village and Everstone Village. They also presented her with a crown of blue flowers, placing it on her head.

“Wow, thank you so much!” Aquarina said with a giggle. “You’re making me so embarrassed…”

“Come now, people, let the girl breathe,” a tall woman stepped forward. It was Svana. “Hello, Aquarina! Long time no see! How have you been? I see you’ve become quite the celebrity now, eh?”

“S-Svana?! Ah, hi…” Aquarina muttered, surprised to see the chief of Everstone here. “Shouldn’t you be in Everstone, though?”

“What’s wrong with visiting here now and then? I come every year to check on the people,” Svana said. “It’s usually my duty to handle the threats you and your friends dealt with, but I was too busy and failed in that regard. I owe you an apology and a thank you for your help.”

“Oh, well, we got caught up in the situation and couldn’t leave things as they were, so we acted,” Aquarina said, shrugging as she sipped some fruit juice. “Without Mom and Dad, it would have been impossible. You should thank them instead.”

“I already did! And what a lovely little sister you have! I’m amazed,” Svana said. “Esmeralda is her name, right? I see a bright future for the little one, hahaha! Anyway, I wish I could reward you now, but I have nothing on me. Come back to my home before your trial, and I’ll give you a small gift.”

“Oh, really? Thanks!” Aquarina grew excited, her imagination running wild with thoughts of a new weapon, a magic accessory, rare materials, an elixir, or something else…

For a moment, she glanced at Svana’s striking figure, briefly imagining something entirely different from material goods as a “small gift.” She quickly dismissed the thought. Her heart and body belonged to Sylphy alone! Still, as a girl her age, such thoughts were natural.

These thoughts made Aquarina feel slightly guilty about Sylphy. She was certain Sylphy was a pure girl who would never entertain such ideas, so she viewed herself as the “impure one.”

If she only knew Sylphy had similar thoughts… However, thoughts are not actions, and Aquarina soon realized that thinking something shouldn’t cause guilt. The human mind was chaotic, always thinking, calculating, remembering, and imagining—a natural part of human nature.

“Anyway, I’ll go celebrate with your parents and Aguarapida. They’re drinking a lot of booze, haha!” Svana laughed.

“W-Wait! They’re drinking with Esmeralda?!” Aquarina asked, alarmed.

“She was with them, but I think she fell asleep and is now in her crib. They put a sound barrier spell around her, and she’s fast asleep,” Svana said, chuckling.

“Sheesh, they should at least bring her to her room…” Aquarina said, frustrated.

“Huh? Where are you going, Aquarina?” Quetzal asked. “Won’t you stay to celebrate with us?”

“Ah, yeah, yeah, I’ll be back soon. I’m going to fetch my little sister,” Aquarina said. “I miss her…”

Aquarina walked to where her parents were, dodging dozens of people praising her as a hero. She felt increasingly embarrassed. They offered her food and physical items, but she politely declined, feeling they were exaggerating.

“Mom, Dad?” Aquarina called.

“Oh! Aquarina, you’re awake. Are you feeling better?” Nepheline asked.

“We were just about to check on you,” Shade said.

“Yeah, I’m fine. I just woke up, and so much is happening here… This is a massive festival!” Aquarina said. “I see you’re enjoying it, huh?”

“Hahaha! Forgive me, dear. Even as adults, we sometimes need a break,” Nepheline said. “Since I had your sister, I haven’t drunk any booze, so I was missing it.”

“Forgive me too. We were stressed about everything and wanted to unwind,” Shade added.

“A-Ah… no, it’s alright,” Aquarina said, quickly understanding that her parents had been working hard and deserved their enjoyment. “Just enjoy everything to your heart’s content. Don’t worry. Is Esmeralda with you?”

“Yes, she’s here. She just fell asleep, but… Oh? Looks like she woke up,” Nepheline said, dispelling the sound barrier. The noise ended startling Esmeralda, who jumped slightly on her crib.

“Bwawa!” she exclaimed, not crying but clearly annoyed at her mama.

“I’m sorry, baby. How about you spend time with your sister?” Nepheline said. “After she falls asleep again, can you take her to her crib?”

“Sure,” Aquarina nodded. “Come on, Esmeralda! Didn’t you miss me? It’s your big sis!”

“Ooohhh!” Esmeralda did miss her, raising her little hands so Aquarina could pick her up. She was the cutest.
