Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 1830: Justicio’s Resolve

Chapter 1830: Justicio’s Resolve

—–

Justicio vowed to give everything he had to pass the trial and return triumphant. He promised to make them even prouder and ensure that the way people viewed their family would change for the better.

“I promise not to disappoint you…!” Justicio said.

His mother, touched but slightly overwhelmed, sighed and murmured that he didn’t need to go to such lengths.

“Oh, dear, you don’t really need to…” his mother sighed.

“Justicio! Don’t say such nonsense now!” his father interrupted. “You’re not doing this for us or for the damn village… you’re doing this for yourself, you hear me?!”

“E-Eh? But…” Justicio muttered. His whole life, he had worked to ensure his family could rise from their low reputation and improve their situation.

Because his father was born with dwarfism, he had a weakened physique, unable to progress beyond Tier 6 of his Physique and limited in magical talent, with his Magic Circle stuck at Tier 4. Despite this, his wife loved him for who he was.

However, because this village valued warriors and hunters, his father, unable to hunt beasts beyond Tier 6, was often shunned, ignored by larger hunter groups, and left to scrape by with smaller, weaker, less nutritious prey.

He had been laughed at and bullied in childhood due to his small stature. Despite the seemingly kind and laid-back nature of Everstone’s people, they held prejudices against those who “didn’t fit in,” unlike Aquarina and her family, who were fortunate enough to be accepted.

Even now, as an adult, people rarely take him into consideration, and his status as a citizen remained lower than that of the average warrior.

This prejudice extended to Justicio, who, though not born with dwarfism, was smaller than other men his age.

This drove Justicio to push himself further and further, striving to make his family proud and elevate their standing in society.

However, at some point, Justicio began falling behind his peers, more and more, until even after completing the training every warrior underwent, he was significantly weaker than the rest.

He felt shunned like his father, and his lazy attitude took over. He felt trying wasn’t worth it anymore, became sleepy all the time, and slept, wishing to dream of a better life.

Until Aquarina appeared and introduced him to a broader world outside, one where, despite lingering prejudices, people wouldn’t judge him for his height or call him weak.

It turned out that Everstone’s standards were exceptionally high. His father, who would be praised as a seasoned, mighty warrior elsewhere for achieving Tier 6, a level most veteran fighters struggled to reach, was diminished here.

Beyond that, Aquarina introduced him to the evolving Elven Kingdom, where prejudice was less prevalent compared to the village. People of all races worked together, striving for a better future.

Slowly, with Silvia’s help, another childhood friend who sometimes teased him but never abandoned him, using her laughter to provoke him into trying harder, she pushed Justicio to his limits.

She helped him develop a physique, gain new abilities, grow immensely strong, and even contract his own spirit; a dream he never thought would become reality until now.

Justicio believed that this time, he could finally stand up for his family and ensure they would never be looked down upon again.

He thought this was his mission, what his parents wanted for him.

But he was wrong, and he realized it when his father reprimanded him.

“Don’t be an idiot, son! You’re not doing this for us but for yourself! You’ve got your own life, you hear me?! And you’re free to do whatever you want with it! Prejudices? Family? Whatever! It doesn’t matter. It should never matter to you! You’ve got your own life to build, your own future… don’t let us hold you back. You have no responsibility for our burdens. We’ll be proud of you wherever you are and whatever you do! As long as you’re not some criminal or something.”

“Dad…”

Justicio couldn’t hold back anymore. He began crying, knelt, and hugged his father.

“I’m sorry…”

As he wept, his father sighed and apologized.

“It was my fault…”

“It’s not your fault! You’re… you might be grumpy and annoying, and I hate how loud you yell sometimes, but… you’re the only dad I’ve got!”

“Justicio…”

His father also burst into tears, embracing his son with his strong arms.

“Do your best, Justicio! You have to aim higher than any of us ever did! Soar to the skies! I know you can do this!”

As his father cheered for him while his mother waved gently, Justicio departed with Aquarina and her family.

“Yeah! I’ll do my best! Just watch, old man, Mom!”

Justicio’s resolve was rewritten and reignited. As his father had told him, he was no longer doing this for his family or worrying about their “standing” in the village.

None of that mattered. He didn’t have to let it hold him back or limit him.

He had to pursue his own dreams, be selfish, and walk his own path.

That’s what his parents had always wanted.

“Fufu, that was really nice of you to say, dear,” Justicio’s mother giggled, gently patting her husband’s bald head with her soft hands.

“Hmph! Well, that’s all I wanted to say to that brat,” his father groaned, watching his son walk further and further away. He suddenly smiled, deeply proud. “I’m so happy he’s my son…”

“Heheh, well, I’m sure you’ll be happy again soon~” his wife giggled, teasing him.

“Hm? What do you mean by that, woman? Ah!” His eyes widened. “D-Don’t tell me!”

He realized his wife was rubbing her belly.

“Justicio might have a little sibling soon~”

“Really?! But… what if the baby’s like me again? I…”

“It doesn’t matter! Let’s build a big family together, dear! I don’t care about the village, only that I have you and our son… I’ve been happy with you since the moment you defended me from those bullies who mocked me for being blind.”

“My dear wife…”
