Reincarnated With The Van Helsing System

Chapter 663 - 663: Bloodline Prison Realm (part 1)

Seeing Daimon effortlessly leaping through the face of the mountain, while carrying her, only occasionally using one of his hands, where his nails had turned into black inked claws, the little tiger girl couldn’t help but ask.

“How many days has it been since you arrived to this place, masked… big brother Daimon”, she said, making Daimon’s right eyebrow twitch behind his mask, not at Dana, but at Eve who was having the laugh of her life as of current.

‘I like her already~’, said the administrator girl, to which Daimon swore to get back at her later, before answering.

“It hasn’t been that long, a bit more than twelve hours I would say, since I don’t know if time in this place flows at the same rate as in the spatial tunnel that brought me here”.

Daimon’s answer caused two different reactions on the little tiger girl, first and formal she was in awe for a second, before she asked in a hurry.

“T-Then, how many blood specters have you killed?”.

“Oh, so that’s what those things are called, forget about killing them, I hadn’t even seen one before meeting you earlier”, casually said Daimon, which made Dana’s mouth cutely open in surprise.

It took her a second to return to her usual well-mannered and calm self, thanks to Daimon saying.

“We can talk later, focus on recovering for now, since I have a lot of things to ask to you”.

“Okay… we can only be in the open for a certain amount of time during a day, we should still have around three to four more hours, then “night” will come”, she mumbled, before she closed her eyes staying silent in order to rest and regain her strength during the rest of her journey on Daimon’s back, as she had a lot of things to tell him later

Speaking of Daimon, after moving through the mountain range for around three more hours while making sure he didn’t leave a trace that could be followed back to him, he finally stopped in the middle of a mountain which had quite a few openings on its surface.

All those were caves that naturally formed when pieces of the black soil that covered the giant bone below of it, fell through the years.

Of course, Daimon didn’t choose the first cave he saw to hide, a few of the mountains he left behind had them, and he chose this mountain because it had more than three dozen of entrances on its surface, so even if by some miracle someone were to stop by this mountain in particular, the chances of running into them was not worth mentioning.

“We’ll stay here tonight”, said Daimon as he jumped into the cave he had chosen, by this time Dana had recovered, so once Daimon landed inside the cave, she asked him to let her down, which Daimon did the next second.

“It’s better if we block most of the entrance of the cave”, said the little tiger girl, Daimon agreed with her, since earlier his instincts have been warning him of an incoming danger.

“Crack!”, with surgical precision, Daimon used his claws to make some parts of the ceiling near the entrance of the cave to collapse, which resulted in it getting basically blocked, with only really small gaps at the borders.

It was enough for some light to enter the cave, so there was no problem for the little tiger girl to see in the dim atmosphere that was created, she is a magic beast descendant after all.

Speaking of which, the moment Dana sat down on the ground as she proposed herself to start telling Daimon what she has gone through, a different type of “roar” than the one Daimon heard earlier, echoed through the cave.

While the little tiger girl’s face reddened on the spot, Daimon couldn’t help but chuckle behind his mask, that was Dana’s stomach.

“Most of the energy I obtained from those blood specters was used during the fight, and whatever was left was spent in recovery so…”, she said with a shy voice, that reminded Daimon that she shouldn’t have had access to her storage ring, since mana is restrained.

Apparently, the energy that those ethereal magic beasts left behind after dying acts as sustain, instead of food, as there doesn’t appear to be any let alone edible things, but even living beings in this place, besides the participants of course.

“Here, you can have this”, Daimon extended his hand to offer the little tiger girl a meat sandwich which he had taken out of the inventory, and though he wasn’t particularly hungry, since after arriving at this place, his state has been constantly improving, Daimon also took one for himself, to show that he wasn’t giving her the only food he had.

Because he could tell that the little tiger girl, would have asked him to take half of hers, if he didn’t do so, even if she was drooling over it.

“Thanks”, forgetting about her previous embarrassment, Dana accepted the food and immediately munched on it.

“You don’t need to ration it, there is a lot of food so just tell me if you want more”, said Daimon as he saw the little tiger girl taking small bites of her sandwich, to then take out a couple of bottles of water and other food.

Dana’s eyes glowed in response, maybe the energy from the ethereal magic beasts worked as sustain, but that didn’t satisfy one’s appetite, it was more akin to just forgetting one is hungry, so of course now she was happy to be able to eat as much as she wanted.

“Mm”, with a soft nod, the little tiger girl continued her assault on the food that Daimon had taken out, interestingly enough she didn’t seem surprised to see him being able to access a spatial type treasure, despite the restrictions of this place.

‘I guess her aunt told her to expect you to go against common sense, even if she had restrained it to your level, you overwhelmed her lightning in that short exchange back then after all’, said Eve, to which Daimon inwardly nodded.

In any case, this was for the better, the Risha sisters and the others don’t make too much questions about his “miraculous” methods, not because they aren’t curious about them, but because Daimon has told them that knowing too much will result in more dangerous situations for them.

But it would be a hassle to explain that to someone that isn’t included in his close friend group, so it certainly is appreciable that the little tiger girl isn’t making that kind of questions.

By the time Daimon finished his sandwich, Dana had devoured all the other food, which helped her fully make a recovery.

“So, where should I start?”, she asked.

“From the very beginning, you also appeared in the sea where the entrance to Neptune was, but at the side which was separated by a barrier, more accurately at the camp controlled by the Tidal Wave tribe, right, so how did you end up here?”, said Daimon, to which the little tiger girl nodded in response.

“Mm, right after crossing through the entrance to the magic ruin I appeared in an island, floating in that sea, and luckily older sister Arianna was in the island next to where I appeared, so when I first found those bone monsters and the guys with ships for the first time, I was already together with her”, she said.

Apparently, Dana was quite lucky, because she didn’t have to look for Arianna, she landed basically next to her, and she didn’t find any skelefiend nor the guys from the tribes, before having some company.

“Sister Arianna first tried to look for you but there was that barrier preventing us from crossing past a certain point, we couldn’t even contact you… and more of those ships led by Lord rank enemies started appearing, but everything changed after a red glow shone into the distance”, added the little tiger girl as she took a sip of water.

“Red glow… ah right there was something like that when the entrance to Neptune we used, opened”, mumbled Daimon, that was the phenomenon that came to be when the entrance to Neptune was opened, it was a ritual of some sort that needed sacrifices to be made in order for the portal to open, and there was a doubt Daimon still had to this day, regarding it.

It wasn’t strange that Adam or Marcus were aware and had access to that secret entrance, because they are system users, it wouldn’t have been strange if they had obtained some treasure or measure to deal with the killing effect of the ritual, however those two women from the church of light and the church of calamity, respectively, were the ones that had the tokens that prevented the ritual from taking their lives, instead.

And Daimon was sure they didn’t know they were system users, otherwise they wouldn’t have been that worried when he threatened them with the cannons of the ships, since system users aren’t that easy to kill, what’s sure is that they clearly supported them.

“Oh, so that was caused by big brother Daimon, it was thanks to that red glow, the barrier that prevented us from moving, disappeared and then we were able to meet that strong lion sister’s group”, said the little tiger girl, referring to Aleah who was together with Stella’s younger sister, Gina, and the lizard tailed girl Lana.

“And not only them, people from the other academies and galaxies started appearing not too long after, from one of them which the strong lion sister beat up until he cried, we learned that they had been trapped in some underground maze, at a completely different place than us”, added Dana, which made Daimon frown.

The only other place he had seen before entering Neptune, was that black stone corridor, which didn’t match with the description given by the little tiger girl, on the other hand, he has been to other completely different planets and probably galaxies, as in Draim and Kerrol.

So, there is a possibility that those guys had ended up in another planet, before being pulled into the sea that led to Neptune, due to how screwed up was the space in the vicinity, it was completely within the possibilities.

“After that, thanks to the universal agreement, regardless of affiliation an all-out battle between those from the four galaxies and the outsiders broke out, but it didn’t last long, because a magic ruin appeared in the center of the sea”, said Dana.

It wasn’t hard to imagine what happened, the universal agreement only said that when facing outsiders, the people from the four galaxies should rally together in order to resist, but it didn’t prevent them from attacking each other, or even betraying the others.

It’s just that by doing so, they would be also endangering themselves, which is why the logical thing would be to not do so, until outsiders were dealt with, however since benefits were suddenly involved, there would of course be people blinded by greed.

And once a part of the united front, left, the others will of course do the same, so it probably became an every one for themselves kind of situation.

“Of course, those people from the Black Grave and Crimson Blood academies, were the first to rush towards that ruin, because they had not only failed to obtain anything up to that point, but also had suffered some loses in the fight against the outsiders, and the others were forced to also head there, because only that way we could avoid being swarmed by the enemies, even if cooperation was out of the table”, said Daina to then add.

“That was also the last time sister Arianna and me, saw the group of that strong lion sister, because we were split once we entered that magic ruin, and inside there were countless traps, among them one was a portal that transported us to an underwater temple”.

“Temple, do you mean the castle where Arianna left that message for me?”, asked Daimon, to which the little tiger girl shook her head in response.

“No, unlike that castle where we could only remain quiet behind the protection so that the sea magic beasts wouldn’t attack, until the portal opened, that temple was amazing, there was a room where the best conditions for us to train could be recreated once a day per participant”.

Seeing Dana’s blue eyes glow with excitement as she was reminded of the past, it was obvious she enjoyed her time in that temple, and Daimon understood why, the little tiger girl which was a novice mage the first time he saw her, just a few months back then, was now a peak three star mage!

“Did you break through all the way from the Novice Mage realm to the three star realm thanks to that room?”, asked Daimon, which took Dana by surprise, she didn’t use a bit of mana ever since she met Daimon and yet he could easily see through her realm.

On the other hand, she seemed happy that her advance was recognized by someone else, still she clarified the next second.

“I did advance into the star realms in that room, but I got stuck at the peak of the one star realm, it was only until we arrived here that I advanced so fast, that’s why I still don’t have stripes on my hair, because it hasn’t been too long… but before we get to that, once we were able to perfectly clear the trials in that room, we obtained one of these”, said Dana as she took out a familiar looking object from her pocket, an emblem.

“And we also met another participant of the trials in that temple, a girl around my age called Cassandra, after she obtained her emblem, a portal opened after around a month and a couple of weeks and that’s what led us to that underwater castle”, she said.

“Someone from the galaxies, or an outsider?”, asked Daimon, thinking that the girl mentioned might be from Scarlet, Amber, Jade or Lapis’s races, if she isn’t from the academies.

“Mmm, she is a mixed sea magic beast descendant, apart from her name and the fact that her age was the same as mine, she didn’t seem to remember anything else, if anything, her realm was quite high for her age, since she is a six star mage, but I think in terms of battle prowess she isn’t ahead of the current me”.

The previous perfectly matched someone from Neptune, so Daimon thought that girl called Cassandra was probably a random person that ended up stranded in that temple, it wasn’t that weird, considering there were space rifts here and there all over the four seas, especially in the Melstrom sea.

“Let me see it for a second”, said Daimon, to which Dana offered him the emblem, it didn’t take long for Daimon to confirm that it was a sea emblem, meaning there shouldn’t be anything wrong with it.

“Were Arianna and that other girl’s emblems like yours?”, he said, to which the little tiger girl nodded.

“Yes, we were a bit hesitant to just accept something we knew nothing about, but these emblems have helped us a few times, the portal that took us out of the underwater castle was opened by them for example, and also it was these emblems the ones that explained us about the blood specters and how to benefit from them”, she said.

“This place is called the “Bloodline prison realm” and those specters are supposed to be the manifestation of dead magic beast’s lineages, their shape, size and strength varies, but all have one thing in common, which is the fact that they target anyone they see, in order to grow”.

“We can’t use mana or battle aura here, but the exposition to that red sun, grants us some sort of ability related to our respective lineages, with that we can fight against the blood specters, and use the energy they leave behind after being defeated to reinforce our own lineages, it also acts as sustain for daily activities, basically that energy is everything in this place”, she said which made Daimon gaze at his pocket.

His sea emblem didn’t explain him anything about this place, though it is also true that he has received quite a bit of help from it.

“That means you arrived here with Arianna and that other girl, so what happened?”, asked Daimon as he returned Dana her emblem, that temple was probably a challenge of some sort, one that rewarded those that passed it with an emblem, instead of an opportunity, similar to how Aurora and Vincent obtained their own emblems.

“I’m also a bit confused about that, it’s been nearly a month since sister Arianna, Cassandra and me, arrived into the Bloodline Prison realm, we remained together and hunted the blood specters that appeared here and there, that’s how I easily reached the peak of the three star realm, but then… something changed”, mumbled Dana to then add.

“First, a lot more of blood specters started appearing out of nowhere, then “night” which didn’t exist in this place, came, as a result of it, the blood specters became incredibly aggressive and got stronger during it, but it didn’t help us in the slightest, still it was manageable with the three of us, but just a few days ago, sister Arianna, Cassandra and me were forcibly transported at random locations”.

“Also, the previously though big, still reasonably traversable Blood Prison realm, became massive, all these mountain ranges didn’t exist before, I have been alone since then”, she said, which made Daimon remain silent for a moment.

‘A few days ago, huh, these changes were probably provoked by those guys arriving into this place, which should have happened around the same time Aisha did, considering the large change in her overall position that I felt earlier’, thought Daimon to then say.

“Perhaps the “owner” of this place, changed the layout to make it harder for invaders to reach a certain important place, and the blood specters that were originally used to train participants, became “guards” instead, which would explain why they became way more aggressive”.

“That would explain the chains that appeared in the sky, they weren’t there before or at least they weren’t visible, only the red sun was there”, said the little tiger girl, just in time for the already dim cave to get darker, which made Dana shrink a little, it’s obvious that she was wary of whatever was happening right now.

“It’s “night”, if big brother Daimon is interested, I suggest taking a look through the gaps in the stones blocking the entrance”, she said in a low voice.

“Okay, I’ll return in a second”, said Daimon as he got up to walk towards the entrance, surprisingly, he didn’t feel any changes happening in the atmosphere, besides the obvious decrease in illumination of course, at least this didn’t seem to be whatever his instincts warned him about before.

That being said, there was certainly quite the phenomenon ongoing outside, once Daimon looked though the small gaps in the stones blocking the entrance, he couldn’t help but feel surprised.

There were countless of those ethereal magic beasts roaming all over the place, what’s more, some were way too big, reaching hundreds of meters of size, which would make them on par with Arch ranked magic beasts.

Not to mention that they were races Daimon has never seen or heard about before, since in the dreams showed by the sea emblem, only the scene of those bird-like ones falling from the sky, appeared.

Still, the most shocking change was the black “spot” that appeared in the red sun that was illuminating the sky, it looked like an eclipse, since a black spot that covered around three fourth parts of it, is what was causing the decrease in illumination.

‘I guess that’s what causes “night” to come, and it’s that spot what my instincts were warning me about too’, thought Daimon.

“Still, I feel perfectly fine, in fact…”, said Daimon as he closed and opened his right hand a couple of times, the air around him trembled, before a silvery light covered his body, for a second, to then gather on his hair.

Causing the little tiger girl to be in awe for the second time in the day.

‘It took us two weeks and killing quite a few blood specters to start showing an external phenomenon…but he arrived just a few hours ago’, she thought.
