Shortly after Li Sheng Xuan’s explanation, Wen Ling was enlightened.
She realized where her dialogue went wrong.
As an experienced general who supported the female emperor’s ascension, she should have known Her Majesty wasn’t blindsided whatsoever.
The reason for Her Majesty’s inaction must have some deep secret. Rather than asking to be deployed, she should have suppressed the court officials from making a scene.

She calmly said and explained, "With treacherous court officials constantly waiting for a chance to harm the female emperor, you should have stayed by her side and not asked to be sent away. What does suppressing the villainous court officials help other than causing more internal conflicts within the royal court?"
Realization quickly dawned upon Wen Ling.
It appeared that this brief scene actually contained so many complex layers.
She wanted to portray a domineering and loyal general, but ended up acting as a foolish general who only knew how to cause more headaches for the female emperor.
Disappointed and feeling bitter, Wen Ling lowered her head and was about to exit the stage.
"Where are you going?" Li Sheng Xuan raised an eyebrow and asked.
"Uh... leaving?" Wen Ling smiled bitterly and pointed at the door where the previous person had left after rejecting being cast as an extra.
"You should leave your contact information first."
"Ah?"
Stunned, Wen Ling’s eyes widened.
Did that mean she succeeded?

"For now, you are filled in as the general for the female emperor role. If there’s any better candidate, then you will be removed but given another chance to play some other role." She calmly said.
Having too much hope would often bring great pressure and disappointment when things didn’t go their way.
Li Sheng Xuan had learned this deeply when she held too much hope that the majority of the entertainment industry wasn’t so dark.
The number of pursuers and coercers that she met throughout her time as an actress was far too much to count.

Nodding, she replied, "Wen Ling was a junior who had acted in several dramas with me. But we never had any scenes together, and she was more of a side character."
The reason why Wen Ling caught her attention was her presence in stealing the spotlight despite having little to no dialogue.
"I see..." Xu Feng no longer pried further and signaled for Ding Xiao Ying to take the lead this time.
"Don’t mind me being critical." Ding Xiao Ying stretched her slender fingers and warned.
Sometime later, a youthful man stepped to the stage and greeted them.
Once the greeting was done, the youthful man’s eyes turned treacherous and villainous.
"Hahaha, a jade beauty like you being attracted to me is your fortune. I won’t force you, but I must remind you that in this land, I can decide your fate." The youthful man grinned wickedly, his crackling laughter reverberating through the atmosphere.
However, they had yet to finish as they extended their hand and grasped onto empty air, clearly depicting that there was another person in front of them.
"Come and serve me well. I can provide you shelter, food, and countless wonderful nights. Your young master is just a weak bastard who can’t even satisfy his own maid."
The nearby participants’ faces turned pale as his villainous line, whereas Ding Xiao Ying smiled and decided to play along.
’Not bad for a typical villain act. But let’s see if you can elevate it further.’ She thought to herself, her eyes subtly gazing at Xu Feng, or more specifically, his chiseled chest.
"Ahh, Young Master, please save me!" She suddenly squealed and wrapped her arms around Xu Feng, seeking protection.

Xu Feng was rendered speechless by this flirty woman who constantly wanted to take advantage of his body.
However, he couldn’t even push her away when the male actor understood the signal.
"Young Master?" They raised an eyebrow in amusement and sneered. "You mean the dandy, useless playboy Young Master Feng of the Xu Clan? What is this useless trash compared to me?"
’You goddamn bastard.’ Being dragged into the play, Xu Feng had to give this actor a thumbs-up. They had successfully cut off his exit path in this screening segment.
Since these two wanted to play this kind of game, he could only play along.
Instantly, his demeanor changed as he stood up and held Ding Xiao Ying by the waist.
"I’m a dandy, useless playboy?" Xu Feng chuckled in amusement.
"So what if I am? Xiao Ying here still prefers me over your hideous outlook. Besides, what kind of thing are you to be talking about my Xu Clan in such a tone?" He continued, exuding a frightening aura that threatened to swallow the actor whole.
The male actor was caught by the aura and the immersion rate as droplets of sweat began dripping down from their forehead.
Unlike Xu Feng, who was an Energy Force fighter, he was just an ordinary person who had some knack for acting.
How could he possibly resist Xu Feng’s frightening aura?
