The aura that Xu Feng exuded was directed at the male actor solely, meaning almost nobody else present in the room understood why the latter suddenly became mute.

"Hmm, why did he begin to falter?" Chen Kexin raised an eyebrow.

"The scene was going well..." Li Sheng Xuan furrowed her brows. She found it hard to believe the male actor would suddenly get a cold foot.

While these two were baffled by the scene, Ding Xiao Ying felt that the issue had something to do with Xu Feng.

The male actor had the potential to become a good villain, so he didn’t want to typecast him into the typical hateful and lustful villain. He wanted a villain who appeared to be one under the lens of the male protagonist.

A villain who could be sympathized with is what makes a story great.

Sometime later, the male actor gnashed his teeth and mustered up the courage to confront Xu Feng.

"Hmph, you don’t deserve Xiao Ying!" He clenched his fists and roared.

"Xiao Ying will only be tarnished and ruined under your hands. Rather than letting you ruin her life, I might as well snatch her over and give her the best of the best!"

Having said that, the male actor held an aggrieved and bittersweet expression.

His depiction made it seem like Xu Feng was really holding Ding Xiao Ying hostage and ruining her life.

During that brief moment, Du Cheng’s body tensed up. He knew that whatever her next response was would be the deciding factor of whether he could be in the production or not.

"I’ll say... yes." Ding Xiao Ying giggled and gave a thumbs up to Du Cheng.

"Your acting nearly got me fooled into thinking you really are interested in me." She praised him.

Almost immediately, Du Cheng’s face flushed slightly red. He scratched his head with some embarrassment.

His reaction was naturally noticed by Ding Xiao Ying.

"Ahem, you can admire me, but I’ll say it here. Don’t try to pursue me." She declared and placed her sight on Xu Feng.

Even an idiot could discern what that action meant.

Du Cheng also knew he didn’t have a chance.

"I understand, Senior." He didn’t feel envious or jealous of Xu Feng. When compared to him, he was truly lacking.

Sometime later, Du Cheng completed the fill-up on the contract and exited the premises.

Once Du Cheng made his exit, the other remaining actors failed to replicate or add a unique touch in their audition. They were definitely affected by the powerful scene, so one could only say they got the short end of the stick.

"Being affected and unable to break through is a difficult hurdle that every actor must go through." Li Sheng Xuan tapped the pen on the desk lightly.
