Chapter 1334: Divine World Version 2 Part 10
Chapter 1334: Divine World Version 2 Part 10
Shortly after praising Hundred Ghost as if he were a good puppy, Xu Feng instructed the former to continue his spy activity.
Of course, there would be some suspicion raised as to why he left the guild prior to the disastrous event, but Xu Feng had already given him the excuse.
To enter a unique dungeon, one had to be guildless, which was how Hundred Ghost avoided the implication.
And to prove his claim, Xu Feng traded him some of the useless items he gained from the Phantasm Sea.
Although the items were useless to him, they were still considered valuable in the eyes of others. Therefore, nobody would suspect a thing, and people would soon praise Hundred Ghost’s luck for ensuring the survival of the Reaver Guild in another banner.
Once that was done, Xu Feng was about to deliver the horses to Jessica. After all, she had made the move lightning fast, so it was only right to reciprocate.
Moreover, delaying the war horses could drastically change the situation.
Xu Feng wouldn’t be foolish enough to seek short-term profit over long-term profit.
If the NPCs’ influence around the Divine World were to lessen, then he would have been screwed as well.
These Colossuses weren’t amiable beings. They were the type to enslave others and force them to do all the crappy tasks that nobody wanted to do.
Either way, those who sided with the Colossuses had no good end. And usually, it was because their evil deeds continued despite the second version cleansing their record.
Sometime later, Xu Feng suddenly received a message prompt right when he was a few distances away from the Adventure Guild.
Confused, he opened the message prompt. He had already told Veronica and the others not to disturb him for the moment.
After all, producing these horses wasn’t easy. It took time and effort to produce them.
Just because he made it sound easy didn’t mean it was really easy. His eyebags were about to go super dark, resembling those of a panda eye.
"Eversoul?" Upon opening the message, he saw the name Eversoul, who was a measly level 36.
How ridiculous low-level was this player?
The mainstream players were all level 65 plus or were close to reaching 70 for the Tier 2 advancement.
"When did I have someone this low level as my priority?" Xu Feng scratched his head and frowned. He wasn’t the type to carry some noob.
He shook his head and opened the message content, only to have his mouth wide open.
Oh... he really did carry a noob.
"So it was Allison, my former professor." He chuckled awkwardly. Ever since the home invasion incident, the two of them had rarely had much contact.
And with his schedule being overwhelmed in both the Divine World and the real world, he gradually forgot about her.
This situation was the same in the past timeline when the two of them drifted apart and never held much contact again.
Still, he didn’t understand why Allison would suddenly initiate contact with him.
"Hmm, could it be for the Lethal Corp banishment?" He knitted his brows. It took him a while to remember Allison was friends with Rebecca Richards, who was the heiress of Lethal Finance.
Honestly, he seriously didn’t want to converse with her regarding this topic.
What happened to the Lethal Corp was their own fault.
Had they not provoked him again, then they wouldn’t have to suffer an extermination.
"Phew, I consider this as repaying her favor from the past timeline." He sighed and entered the Adventure Guild.
He would meet with her once he finished with this matter first.
"Lin Feng, you’re here." As soon as Xu Feng entered the Adventure Guild, he was swiftly greeted by Jessica. It appeared that she had been in the lobby waiting for his arrival for a while.
"Come over to the private room." She said and swiftly dragged him away from the lobby.
The nearby players in the guild could only look at the scene in disbelief.
"I’ve told you that it was the Vanguard Guild Leader! Did you not hear what Miss Jessica said?"
"We know! We’ve all heard her calling him Lin Feng."
"Seems like the ban incidents really were related to the Vanguard Guild Leader. Those guilds really know how to self-destruct!"
In the blink of an eye, the Game Forum post exploded with more newfound information. This time, it was evidence that showed Xu Feng and his guild were solely responsible for multiple guilds being banned.
After all, there were some players who managed to receive news from NPC that the ban stemmed from Star Falls City.
And who was the Overlord of that city?
Besides the Vanguard Guild, there were no more candidates.
Not to mention, these guilds all specifically targeted the Vanguard Guild prior to their destruction.
While the situation outside had turned chaotic, inside the private room, things were quite calm.
"Lin Feng, this is your new noble rank," Jessica said and gave him the Viscount rank.
[System Notification: You have been promoted to a Viscount! More authorities have been unlocked!]
[System Notification: You have unlocked the Noble Feature Tab! You may access it to purchase items from exclusive NPCs and check on the relative Rapport Feature!]
[System Notification: Due to special circumstances, Army Camp has been unlocked! You are now eligible to recruit NPC to your army and have them be under your control! Do note that if the army were to commit crimes, it would negatively affect your reputation!]
A series of notifications popped up, nearly drowning Xu Feng on the spot.
He was quite taken aback by how swiftly his noble rank had been delivered to him.
"I thought the procedure would take at least weeks." Xu Feng accepted the new status and joked.
"The empire wishes to apologize for its oversight and allow some crooks to dampen a meritorious official," Jessica explained, hinting that the higher-ups were waiting anxiously for the horses.
"Well then, please thank the empire for me." Xu Feng said and placed down a large box.
"1,500 horses have been produced and stored in this box." He patted the large box a few times and flashed a wicked grin.
