Chapter 1243: You Tricked Us! [Part 1]

Thirteen thought it would take him a month or two before he could turn the factions in the Antares Continent into his subordinates.

After all, he had a Celestial by his side. He didn’t even need to rack his brains.

It never even crossed his mind that he’d fail in his plan.

But things didn’t go according to plan.

Instead of taking his time to learn more about the Jinns living there, a series of events piled on top of each other, allowing him to finish his mission earlier than planned.

With the Great Killing Array under Thirteen’s control, the Blackfang Dominion had nowhere to go, trapped in the same killing formation that kept them safe from harm.

“I’ll give all of the Leaders of the Blackfang Dominion exactly three days to travel to Freesia City. If you’re not here within three days, I will obliterate your cities from the world.”

That was the ultimatum that Thirteen had declared through the formation after subjugating Boreas and the Boarkin in Freesia City.

Since the entire territory of the Blackfang Dominion was within the scope of the Great Killing Array, they all heard Thirteen’s declaration.

Left with no other alternatives, King Valtheron and his allies had no choice but to obey Thirteen’s demand.

Rhovan gritted his teeth as he followed the rest of his colleagues to meet the human boy, who hijacked his formation and made it his own.

Thirteen had also asked the Majin Queen to come to Freesia City so they could officially discuss his purpose for coming to Antares.

Three days later, all the leaders gathered in the residence of Boreas, who was the ruler of the Boarkins in Freesia City.

When King Valtheron, Rhovan, and the other leaders of the Blackfang Dominion saw the Majin Queen, Xeres, they immediately felt that they had overlooked the threat that the Venom Heart Cabal posed to them.

However, they once again focused their attention on the young man, who was seated on a throne, with two Pocopocos perched on top of it.

Cranky stood right beside Thirteen’s throne with his arms crossed over his chest.

The members of the Blackfang Dominion were unable to assess his rank, but they had already labeled him as a Majin King.

But those who knew, especially Kamrusepa and the Venom Heart Cabal, kept Cranky’s rank a secret until Thirteen decided to reveal it to everyone.

For now, everyone’s attention was on the young man because their fate rested on the words he would say today.

“I’m sure you already know why all of you have gathered here today,” Pico said in a serious tone.

Of course, none of the Jinns knew why they had gathered. They simply followed Thirteen’s ultimatum to come to Freesia City of race annihilation.

However, none of them refuted the Pocopoco, who was looking at all of them with disdain.

“First of all, I would like to thank you all for coming,” Thirteen said, his gaze sweeping across the gathered leaders of the Jinns.

Seated on the throne with his chin resting lazily against his right palm and one leg crossed over the other, he looked less like a conqueror demanding obedience and more like a young monarch addressing his subjects.

“I’ll get straight to the point,” Thirteen stated. “I plan to fight a war, and I need warriors to fight for me. Those warriors will be you and your armies.”

“A war?” King Valtheron frowned. “Where do you plan to wage this war? I believe you came from Cygni, right? Is the war there not over yet?”

“The war in Cygni is over, and we’re the victors of that war,” Thirteen replied. “We’re going to fight in the world of Artem, a place that most of you haven’t heard of.”

The Jinns glanced at each other as if checking if their colleagues knew any information about the world of Artem.

“And why should we fight this war for you?!” Rhovan asked, his voice crisp, challenging Thirteen’s authority. “Who do you think you are?!”

The Jinns glanced at the Great Shaman, and some of them supported him since he spoke what all of them had in mind.

“Courting death,” Pico scoffed.

Pica sneered as she made a cutting motion with her feather over her neck, as if telling Rhovan that he was a dead man.

“Good question,” Thirteen answered calmly. “You have every right to feel indignant because someone suddenly broke into your house and ordered you to go shopping for him. I’m sure that all of you are still in shock and in denial about what happened during the past few days.” Th link to the orign of this information rsts n novel⚑fire.net

The teenage boy spoke with empathy as if understanding why Rhovan had spoken in such a stance. However, his next words made everyone’s heart shudder.

“But what can you do about it?” Thirteen smiled evilly. “Your lives are in my hands.”

A brief silence descended in the meeting room, broken by Rhovan gnashing his teeth in frustration.

He did this subconsciously, perhaps feeling stressed because the Great Killing Array he was so proud of became the same killing formation threatening their lives now.

In fact, some of the Leaders of the Blackfang Dominion nagged him during their journey, telling him that his formation was flawed, and it was because of him that they were put into a difficult situation.

“I understand that you have our lives in your hands, but that doesn’t mean we will obey your orders,” King Valtheron declared. “I demand a duel without the use of the formation. If you win, then we will follow your orders!”

Thirteen didn’t answer right away. Instead, he glanced at the other leaders, who were all looking at him as if they were ready to fight to the death.

“You want me to fight you without using the Great Killing Array?” Thirteen smirked. “Can’t you see how weak I am? I don’t think that your proposal is fair.”

“Then how about him?” King Valtheron pointed at Cranky. “I know he is a Majin King. If he were to rule us, then we would reluctantly obey him. But I have a feeling that you’re the one calling the shots.

“I admit that we have underestimated you, and there is nothing we can do about the Great Killing Array. However, we refuse to go down without a fight. Even if you kill us!”

“Yes!”

“That’s right!”

“We would rather die than obey you!”

“Go! Kill us! Let’s see if you can still have that army you are looking for!”

The Jinn Leaders felt emboldened by King Valtheron’s declaration. If they were to go down, they would go down fighting!
