Chapter 1316: The Bully, and the Bullied [Part 3]

“I’M ROLLING!”

Kazogonaga descended from the sky like a spinning, spiked wrecking ball.

The Azothralls covered their bodies in an extremely hard carapace and blocked its path.

However, the moment they clashed with the rainbow-colored Anteater, none were spared from being impaled by its sharp spikes. They were all sent crashing down on the city, destroying the buildings below them.

Kazogonaga’s target was Regulus, who pointed his bell in its direction.

“Begone, foul creature!” Regulus roared as he slammed his palms repeatedly against the bell, unleashing a concentrated sound attack at the Deity of the Sky.

However, when these invisible sound waves reached Kazogonaga, the Anteater was completely unaffected.

Regulus’ face turned solemn as soon as he realized that his attacks didn’t work against the rainbow-colored Anteater.

For the first time, someone managed to resist his attacks, prompting him to change his plans.

He hurriedly backed away and used ranged weapons against his opponent. But every one of his attacks bounced off the rolling wrecking ball who seemed hell-bent on chasing him to the end of the world.

The Celestial gave Thirteen a sidelong glance, ordering his subordinates to attack him and the little girls by his side.

However, the ten-meter-tall Minotaur, the now three-eyed demonic dog, and the Goblin Paladin were like an insurmountable wall, effortlessly thwarting the attempt of the Artemians and the Azothralls to get close to the children behind them.

’Why can’t they defeat those monsters?!’ Regulus cursed internally. ’There are only three of them!’

As the Celestial internally cursed his allies for being useless, Kazogonaga’s voice reached his ears.

“Stop running away, you old fart!” Kazogonaga unrolled itself and returned to its original size. “Fight me like a man! Is running all you can do?!”

The rainbow-colored Anteater casually swatted the two fireballs Regulus had just unleashed, dispersing them completely.

“Hmph! You’re a pitiful person who only bullies the weak and fears the strong!” Kazogonaga shouted with righteous indignation. “Old man, you’re lucky that I’m the only one dealing with you. If those girls’ father were here, you’d already be six feet under by now!”

Regulus didn’t give a damn about whatever the Anteater was saying. He was busy thinking of a plan to eliminate Zion, as well as Rana, who had still not recovered from his sonic attacks.

While this was happening, Thirteen had helped Stella drink some healing potions, which helped her recover a bit.

Maple and Cinnamon stood like two powerful guardians that protected their sister and their big brother from harm.

An all-out battle was happening around them, and their enemies were using all kinds of tricks to get past the Minotaur, the Demonic Dog, and the Goblin Paladin.

Suddenly, two of the High Archons of Artem managed to get past the Defenders and flew toward Zion with bloodshot eyes.

They had no intention of harming the girls, but Zion had to die no matter what.

However, just before they reached the boy, someone suddenly appeared and blocked their path to their target.

“Excuse me, but do you sell some soy sauce here?”

Thirteen looked at the newcomer and smiled faintly at the sight of an old friend.

The two High Archons didn’t care who the person was. All they knew was that someone stood in their way, so they immediately unleashed their strongest attack without holding back.

Powerful explosions rocked the battlefield, covering it in white smoke. The two High Archons backed away, certain that no one was capable of surviving such a devastating attack from both of them.

When the smoke had dispersed, a giant staff stood where they had attacked earlier.

The person who asked Zion if he sold some soy sauce earlier reverted the staff into its original size and lightly dusted his shoulder.

“If some people attacked you first, and you fought back, that’s called self-defense, right?” the Monkey King asked Zion.

“Indeed.” Thirteen nodded. “That’s called self-defense.”

“Welp, I guess it can’t be helped.” The Monkey King grinned evilly. “It’s self-defense after all. I just passed by to buy some soy sauce when two random thugs suddenly attacked me. How can I possibly let that slide?”

The Monkey King turned around to look at the two High Archons, who tried to attack an innocent bystander without mercy.

With a laugh filled with arrogance, the Monkey King somersaulted in the air and landed on a small flying cloud.

He then charged at his opponents, prepared to swing his staff to beat the crap out of them.

“Reject humanity!” Sun Wukong roared. “Return to monke!”

The staff in his hands hummed, and increased its length and size according to its Master’s will.

“Obliterate them. Ruyi Jingu Bang!”

Before the two High Archons could even escape and cry for help, the staff smacked them silly on their bums and sent them flying.

The red-headed Half-Elf who was prepared to attack anyone who dared to attack his daughters looked in disbelief at the current situation on the battlefield.

He could still understand why Kazogonaga and his friends were helping his daughters.

However, what he couldn’t understand was why the Monkey King was actively helping Zion Leventis.

Back then, when he was still a weak mortal, the Monkey King was also his strongest ally.

Seeing him protect the teenager, whom his daughters also tried to protect, he realized that there might be some information that he didn’t know about.

’I’ll just ask Sun Wukong later,’ William thought. ’Just who is this kid?’

James, who was more knowledgeable than William, gazed at Thirteen with a calm expression.

He had already sensed in the past that he might have met Zion in the past. However, no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t seem to remember where he had seen the kid.

’I guess I need to do some digging after the girls return to Hestia,’ James thought.

Hestia was the name of the world where William and his daughters lived.

It was billions of light years away from Pangea, and yet, it could be traversed easily by those who knew how to jump into the void.

James was using this method to look for Maple and Cinnamon whenever they ran away from home.

The two gluttons could easily create a portal that passed through dimensions, allowing them instantaneous travel to anywhere in the multiverse.
