Chapter 1319: The Fairy Princess’s Death March [Part 1]
“I won’t go down without a fight!” Castor roared. “Rally to me!”
The ground trembled. Hundreds of Azothralls emerged from the ground and flew into the city.
All of them heeded their Master’s call and clashed with the Infernals. They showed no fear, only an arrogance that matched the capability of their race.
Dozens of light beams streaked across the sky as the Airships unleashed their barrage to help their allies.
Thousands of Infernals also began moving. Their numbers was smaller than the combined might of the Defenders and the Rebel armies, but the quality of their fighters surpassed those of both sides.
Some of them descended into the city, while the rest flew toward the direction of the Airships and the Jinns who were now guarding them.
A drop of blood fell on Erasmus’ face, making the Lord of Death smirk.
Before the war started, Thirteen had already told him about the Infernals potentially showing up. So, he had prepared something for these uninvited invaders from the abyss.
Truth be told, they were only using half of the true power of the Runic Formation within the city.
They were waiting for the Infernals to arrive, which was also the reason why Thirteen didn’t unleash the shackles that bound him.
The teenage boy knew that he could only show his true strength once before the seal on his body was once again reinforced.
This was the trump card that he had fought so hard to acquire by visiting The One and Laplace Demon in the Celestial Realm, pretending to be after the other restrictions on his body.
Skill Ban might have helped him win the battle, but The One would definitely refuse to give it to him.
Avatar Ban was another option, which would allow him to summon powerful beings, similar to his thirteen Valkyries.
Item Ban would allow Thirteen to access the System Shop and get Legendary or possibly Divine-Ranked Items, which would be too devastating for him to wield.
In the end, only Ranked Ban seemed feasible, which was why The One agreed to lift this restriction until the battle in Artem ended.
“Master still needs five more minutes,” Zed said in a volume that only his allies could hear. “We need to buy time until then.”
Rocky emerged from the ground and unleashed a mighty roar of defiance as if telling Zed that it would give their Master as much time as they could give him.
Giga, Blacky, Stacy, Hercules, the Ogres, the Trolls, Pica, and Pico all emerged from the mobile fortress.
Erica, Sherry, Shana, Princess Aracelle, and Princess Xynalia also made their appearance.
The Saintess and the Princess of House Pavareth used their healing magic on Stella, allowing her to recover faster.
“Wow, there are so many Celestials,” Erica muttered under her breath. “Maybe it’s a bad idea to leave Rocky’s mobile fortress. What do you girls think?”
“I think it’s time for us to fight,” Princess Xynalia stated, standing two meters away from Thirteen, ready to defend him at any moment.
“Of course, we will fight,” Shana replied before summoning her white banner and planting it on the ground.
Immediately, a ripple of Holy power spread across the battlefield, strengthening their allies in battle.
“Zion has fought many battles on his own,” Sherry said softly. “Battles that seemed impossible to win. Yet every time, he fought regardless. Now is not the time to hide. I will fight and die by his side.”
“Since our youngest has spoken, as the eldest, I must also step up to the challenge,” Princess Aracelle smiled sweetly. “I know you’re just joking, Erica. You were the one who kept on insisting to go out and fight.”
Erica giggled as she too took out a staff from her storage ring. “I’m just trying to ease the tension.”
Princess Aracelle was right. The one who wanted to fight the most was Erica, who was unwilling to let Zion get hurt right under her watch.
Rana had raised a barrier to protect their group from the attack of the Infernals, buying a few precious minutes for the teenage boy to finish whatever he was doing.
Outside the city, William and James were already rearing to fight. The moment their family members were to face any mortal danger, they would swoop in.
They no longer cared about the consequences of their actions. Nothing was more important than the safety of their family.
“Gramps, if our people are about to get hurt, use the Bifrost Bridge to forcefully summon them away,” William said. “You’ve already finished adding the coordinates of this world to our records, right?”
“Yes,” James answered. “But unless they are in danger, do not interfere, okay? We don’t want another repeat of what happened to Raizel.”
William nodded, clenching his fists. His gaze locked on the Infernal army that was now going in for the kill.
Then… a change soon swept through the battlefield.
While everyone hid behind Rana’s barrier, the black coffin finally made its move.
It flew toward the Infernals attacking the barrier, which held on and protected the people on their side.
The baby slime riding on top of it took out a small black bomb and casually threw it to an Infernal who had the strength of a Monarch.
When the bomb collided with the Infernal’s body, it exploded, destroying half of the Celestial’s body.
Kazogonaga and his friends looked at the feisty baby slime, whom they had no idea was a bonafide battle junkie!
She used the black coffin like a surf board, traveling across the chaotic battlefield while throwing bombs left and right.
Every single bomb she threw hit her intended target. It was as if these bombs had a mind of their own, locking into their prey with uncanny accuracy.
At first, Korath didn’t pay too much attention to Eiko.
He believed that with their overwhelming numbers, it would be a matter of time before the baby slime was killed.
But to his surprise, not only was the baby slime still very much alive, she was also killing his subordinates that dared to block her path.
“Kill that slime!” Korath was finally unable to take it and ordered for Eiko’s death.
Hundreds of Infernals all charged in the direction of the Fairy Princess, which made the latter sneer.
“Blackfire, time to work,” Eiko ordered.
Immediately the lid of the coffin opened, and from there, countless Undead numbering in the tens of thousands emerged, with some of them wearing pirate hats and singing the Fairy Princess’s favorite song.
“””We’ll sing you a song it’s the song of the sea, row bully boys row.”””
“I’ll sing you a song if you’ll sing it with me,” Eiko sang while throwing bombs left and right, leaving devastation in her wake.
“””Row bully boys row!”””
“””And it’s Row Me Bully Boys
We’re in a hurry, boys
We got a long way to go~
We’ll sing and we’ll dance and bid farewell to chance~
And it’s Row me Bully Boys Row!”””
These Undead may not be as strong as the Infernals, but their sheer numbers make up for it.
In fact, the Undead Army emerging from the Black Coffin seemed unending, as if it could summon all of the dead warriors in the entirety of the multiverse to fight under the Fairy Princess’s banner.
