Chapter 1318: Is That Boss Music I Hear? [Part 2]

“Hey!” Kazogonaga greeted the baby slime.

“Ei!” Eiko greeted back.

“What’s your name?”

“Eiko.”

The baby slime then lightly tapped the black coffin that she was riding on, introducing it as Blackfire.

The black coffin gave the rainbow-colored anteater a nod like a true gentleman, leaving a good impression on Kazogonaga, who was meeting them for the first time.

“Do you guys really have the time to chat?” Psoglav asked. “Those guys don’t look ordinary.”

The demonic dog naturally referred to the Infernals that were still crossing the giant red portal in the sky.

It was indeed a concern since the sky’s color had turned red, illuminating the world in a crimson color.

Suddenly, a crack in space appeared near the Smithing District.

Queen Miriamele and Castor appeared, and both of them seemed to have suffered minor injuries.

“Regulus, what do you think you’re doing?!” Castor shouted in anger. “Y-You fool! You dared to call upon these fiends! Where is your pride as an Artemian?!”

“Pride?” the corner of Regulus’ lips curled up. “I wouldn’t have called for them if you weren’t so incompetent! If you just killed the Queen instead of trying to woo her into becoming your woman, I wouldn’t have resorted to this!”

Kazogonaga, Psoglav, Erchitu, and Jareth looked at the old man before shifting their gaze to Queen Miriamele, a beauty who could bring down the downfall of a nation.

“Is this what they call an old cow eating young grass?” Kazogonaga blinked.

“A toad lusting over swan flesh?” Psoglav sneered.

Erchitu snorted, folding his massive arms. “More like a wrinkled goat chasing spring lambs. The nerve of that old coot.”

Jareth tilted his head thoughtfully, silver hair fluttering in the crimson wind. “I was thinking it resembles a dying ember trying to seduce a phoenix. Bold… but painfully delusional.”

Meanwhile, Castor, oblivious to the collective roasting he had just received, continued to argue with Regulus.

“You bastard! You’ve always been weak-minded. To think that you’ve colluded with these fiends, just like that sorry excuse for a King, Astrion!” Castor spat.

“You have no power here, Castor.” Regulus laughed. “I decided that you’re not worthy to be the next King.”

“And you think you’re worthy?” Castor sneered. “More like delusional.”

A collective laughter from the Infernals spread across the sky as they listened to the banter of the lowly beings beneath their feet.

“Regulus is right,” the spokesperson of the Infernals, who goes by the name Korath, commented. “Castor, you have no power here. You should have accepted our offer back then. Had you joined us, the one who becomes King could’ve been you, not Regulus.”

“Only this fool wants to be a puppet King!” Castor glared at the Infernal who had three horns on its head. “I control my own destiny!”

“Destiny?” Korath laughed. “Your destiny is to grovel on our feet and beg us to spare your wretched life.”

Castor wanted nothing more than to pummel the bastard to oblivion, but he knew that he would be like a moth charging into a blaze.

The enemies were numerous, and the weakest of them had the strength of a Monarch. Also, there were a handful among the group who were more powerful than him or any Celestial he had met in his life.

There was only one reason for this.

Those powerful beings had stepped into a higher realm, also known as the Demigod Realm.

A rank that had never appeared in Artem or Pangea. Castor couldn’t help but feel like he was staring at an insurmountable wall that could flatten him anytime it wished.

Queen Miriamale had already returned to Zion’s side, protecting the teenage boy who was still sitting cross-legged on the ground.

She would do her best to keep him alive, even if she had to resort to fleeing with him to the farthest edge of the world.

At that moment, Erasmus appeared on the city wall, looking at the invaders who had crossed from the Abyss.

“Artemians, Jinns, and Azothralls, listen to me!” Erasmus shouted. “The time has come for both sides to stop fighting! We must all unite together and drive off our true enemies! Rhavon, lower the shields!”

The Wolfkin Shaman didn’t hesitate to clap his hands together, dispersing the shields that protected the city.

These shields wouldn’t be able to protect them from harm. At most, it could only hold on for a few seconds before collapsing from the collective blows of the Infernals.

The Airships and Valtheron’s army also stopped their battle.

Both sides had suffered casualties, but in the face of an outside threat, they decided to put aside their differences and fight under a single banner.

Fighting amongst themselves would not help anyone. If they were to fight and die, they would rather fight and die against these invaders who were looking down on them as if they were pieces of trash!

Castor glanced at the Lord of Death before shifting his gaze back at Korath.

The infernal who looked like a demonic dragon, with orange skin and three horns, stood at least three-meters tall.

Its Infernal Form was bigger, transforming into a fifteen-meter long dragon that breathed out infernal flames.

Regulus knew that he was no longer welcome and flew toward Korath’s side.

The Infernal smiled and even gave the old Celestial a playful bow, acknowledging him as their puppet king for the world of Artem.

There were several Warlords among the Infernals, and Kaelor’s group was among the top five.

For them, the rankings for the strongest Warlord depended on the number of vassal worlds that had fallen under their control.

Korath was one of Kaelor’s six commanders and was in command of the fifth biggest army among the Infernals from their faction.

The Infernal Dragon then pointed his finger at Castor, who was glaring in his direction.

“Make him kneel, make him bleed,” Korath ordered as he spread out his arms wide. “As for the rest, let them realize the futility of fighting against the blessed race of the Abyss! For Lord Kaelor!”

“”For Lord Kaelor!””

“”For Lord Kaelor!””

“”For Lord Kaelor!””

Eager to please their commander, hundreds of infernals descended in the sky, eager to tear off the flesh, and blood of their prey, and make another world, submit to the rules of the Infernals.
