Taking the Mafia to the Magic World

Chapter 1158: Return and News

Chapter 1158: Return and News

In the blink of an eye, Larissa, Rex, Vicente, Kong, and the envoy from Lothur arrived at a peak in the depths of the demon domain in the Red Enclave.

Instantly, the Devil there for the first time felt interested. Few were the planes that had as much affinity with Hell.

The creature covered in darkness felt at home. He looked at Vicente and the others and understood a bit of why these people had reached their levels so quickly.

In fact, their plane had places as good as this!

But Kong, Larissa, and Rex could not pay attention to the same thing as the Devil at their side. The moment they returned to Red Enclave, they saw their leader show an unexpected reaction.

Vicente made an ugly grimace before coughing up blood, almost losing his balance forward.

“Vicente?” Rex and Larissa shouted, advancing to help him in astonishment.

But before he could be helped, Vicente controlled himself, avoiding his fall.

By making a movement with his fingers, he struck his heart and a flow of mana circulated through his chest, restoring his vitality.

The paleness that appeared for a moment on his face faded as he sat down, looking at the ground in silence, almost as if he couldn’t see his companions.

He ignored all the worried questions from the group and even his surroundings, feeling what had just happened.

’Is this how it is?’ He wondered to himself as he closed his eyes, seeing himself, but in a place quite distant from where he was now.

“Vicente!”

He heard Larissa’s shout and realized he had worried his group. Looking at the beautiful white-haired woman at his side, he sighed, showing a smile to relieve her.

He said in a hoarse tone, still in the process of recovering from whatever it was. “I just received a wave of information from my clone. When I was in Hell, I didn’t feel anything even close to what I just experienced.”

“Oh? Your clone?” Kong asked, feeling more relieved.

Clones were mysterious to most magical beings. They required a lot, especially when their creators could feel the same as them, even when far apart.

Vicente nodded in confirmation. “It seems I was punished by the heavens, in some way.” He laughed bitterly, gradually feeling better.

The Devil sent by Lothur said, “That makes sense. You are a Devil. Normally speaking, we shouldn’t leave Hell without a reason. But, unlike Deities, we can hide our movements from the heavens. However, with your connection to your clone, that must have failed in some way.”

“And now he is subject to the same restriction as Deities?” Larissa asked, understanding the situation.

Deities had many difficulties in leaving Argardus compared to Devils leaving Hell.

That was one of the reasons it was much easier to find Devils in Anicane than Deities.

Some experts even said that this was why Devils were considered stronger than Deities when at the same level.

“Probably,” the Devil covered in darkness answered the woman crouched beside Vicente.

Vicente tried to look calm for his companions. “I feel I won’t be able to stay in Anicane for long until this becomes a problem, but I have good news that have already paid for this headache.”

“What is it, master?” Rex asked with anticipation.

“My clone just had contact with Senior Minos!”

The four opened their mouths in shock, their minds setting aside the problems Vicente might have from then on to think about the infamous successor of the Celestial King!

They wanted so much to meet Minos to develop their plans. Little did they know he would appear just as they left Hell!

“And then?” Larissa changed her tone, becoming curious. “What happened? Did you tell him our plan? What’s his position?”

Vicente shook his head. “My clone didn’t have the time. But it wasn’t necessary. Senior Minos said that Hell and Argardus were together in the past in a single dimension. He made it clear his intention to restore things as they were in the ancient era and said he would need someone trustworthy in Hell.”

Minos even recommended that Vicente go directly to Mylecent, who would certainly help him.

Vicente couldn’t help but feel funny about what his clone witnessed, having done what Minos advised him, days or weeks before such a conversation happened!

’I don’t have powers over time, but today I ’defeated’ a seer.’ He thought to himself for a moment.

The group was surprised. They didn’t expect to hear from Minos orders for them to do exactly what they were already doing.

But Larissa and the others couldn’t help but feel relieved. Until now, they didn’t know what Minos’ position would be. All they had were conjectures and plans about what they would do if he had a favorable stance about their plans. But there were no guarantees he would actually proceed alongside them.

Rex asked, “And what else? Was that it?”

“Unfortunately, my clone had little time with him. He only had the chance to hear Senior Minos’ instructions. The Senior was in a hurry for an advancement. He’s probably in Argardus now.”

“Does that mean he assumed a throne? Will there be problems? Those behind the end of the Nine Paths are Entitled Deities. He will be among the enemies from now on.” Kong commented in a solemn tone.

It was good news to have contact with Minos. But this was also a new worry for them, besides such a meeting not having added almost anything new to their plans.

But then, Larissa showed an almost irrational optimism to Kong.

“Maybe we should look at this matter from another angle.” She suggested as she looked at Vicente. “Aren’t you planning to ’invade’ Argardus to obtain the rest of the Law of Darkness?” She asked what she had naturally sensed from her leader’s journey, through the dark connection of their infernal crowns.

Vicente narrowed his eyes, seeing where Larissa was going.

“The successor of the Celestial King could be your path to restoring the Law of Darkness. Maybe this is, in the end, your role in his plans!”

Rex added, “If he opens the way for you, you could become invincible in Hell after returning from Argardus, master! Only then can you be the ally that Senior Minos expects to have!”
