Chapter 1493 1493: Overprotective Little Brother
Azorn growled, his fist burst into flames as he was about to fly and swing at Alcott. “Stay away from mother!”
But before he could swing, he felt a massive shadow falling upon his back. Arad stood behind him with glowing purple eyes, swinging his fist down like a hammer.
Azorn quickly shifted his stance and blocked Arad’s strike with the arm he was about to swing at Alcott. The ground beneath his feet cracked, and all of his muscles tensed, dispersing the harrowing force of Arad’s strike.
Azorn’s red eyes shifted, glaring back with burning red malice, “You dare get in my way?” His draconic magic grew stronger with those words, rage built up in his blood, and his whole body was engulfed by a dark red aura.
Arad’s arm tensed, and the veins on it bulged. The power unleashed by his fist suddenly soared up, and like a hydraulic press, he pushed down with several magnitudes of force, hammering Azorn into the ground with a deafening shockwave.
“You don’t have time to worry about her.” Arad pulled his arm away, and Azorn crawled out of the ground, unharmed.
By the time Azorn stood, the Arena had already repaired itself. This was a place that could endure their fight, so Azorn wasn’t going to hold punches back. Arad, on the other hand, wasn’t sure if he should go all out or not.
After the brief exchange, none of them wanted to attack first. Arad didn’t know how much damage Azorn could take, and he didn’t want to end up killing Sena’s brother. Azorn, on the other hand, had to be a bit careful after seeing what Arad could unleash.
Azorn was a bit hot-blooded and less savvy than most of his siblings, especially Gray and Sena, but even he knew his sister well. Sena was smart and powerful; she had many things she loved, but Azorn knew for certain that his sister wouldn’t shake her butt to a weakling.
Sena had high standards when it came to power, and those standards made even the gods unworthy of her attention. She had lived for a few thousand years and had received many marriage proposals and rejected them all.
Her conditions were simple, but impossible to achieve.
For power, she asked Kayden and Death to kill anyone who proposes to her. That meant that anyone who can’t survive those two can’t even approach her.
For wealth, she won’t consider anyone who doesn’t even own a world, because she was a massive world herself.
And the last condition was the ability to resist the corruption of the abominations. Because she herself was a part abomination, she didn’t want her powers to end up turning the brain of her husband into mush.
Those conditions were absurd, but no one dared to criticize the princess of the whole universe.
That’s why Azorn was shocked when he heard that his sister was going to get married. Since when did a monster that fit her conditions appear?
Surviving Kayden and Death was the easiest part, because those two weren’t mindless, bloodthirsty monsters. Technically, all that someone needed was to get their approval, which was harder said than done.
Owning a world was all but impossible without the overgod, Sena’s father, allowing it. So, unless her father approves, no one can own a world, and by extension, achieve her second condition.
The last part was the problem; not even the gods are immune to the corruption of the abominations. The only people who can endure it are the overgod’s direct children, Sena’s siblings. And she wasn’t going to marry one of her brothers. So the last condition looked like a trap that was just there to reject everyone.
So, how in the nine hells does Arad exist? When was he even born? When did he get their father to grant him a world? When did he fight Kayden and Death? Azorn never heard of those two doing such a thing.
Then what about resisting the corruption of the abominations? Can Arad resist it? Won’t he go mad just by standing close to Sena’s true body like everyone does?
It was impossible; Sena must’ve accepted Arad for another reason, and Azorn had a guess. He had once thought that his sister didn’t seek powerful men, but just wanted to live a calm and peaceful life, away from all bloodshed.
If that was the case, he did expect her to one day marry some random human or elf. Because she was immortal, Azorn expected her to live with those people their whole lifespan and then marry again once they die, like how most immortal beings do. In fact, many of their siblings do just that.
But that also proved a problem; Arad was far away from the peaceful image Azorn expected. Arad was a trouble magnet, causing problems whenever he went and living a life that would put his sister’s peace of mind at risk.
So he was here to find out how Arad managed to deceive his sister and gain her favor. Arad had to be after something, and he had to be far smarter than many gods to manage to woo Sena and play her like that. That’s why Azorn believed he was the best option to deal with Arad.
Azorn was well aware that he was dumb compared to someone who deceived his sister. That’s why he is here to beat Arad and get him to talk in front of their mother.
All that will come out of Arad’s mouth is lies and hoaxes. Azorn won’t listen to a single word; he’ll only swing and swing, beat Arad to a pulp.
“Sister is smart, but smart people listen; they can be fed lies, shown fake evidence, and led astray.” As Azorn took a step forward, the ground beneath him rumbled, “But, sister isn’t alone. Even if you deceive her, you won’t deceive me.”
Arad didn’t fit any of Azorn’s expectations based on what Sena wanted or how he knew her, so something has to be up. That’s why he’ll never show mercy and strike down any threat.
Arad looked at Azorn, feeling that something was off. He can’t just kill him; he has to do something.
Back at Alina, Arad was sitting on the bed with Cerilla, Jasmine, Dalla, D, and their maids and servants, about to start an eventful night. He lifted his hand and flicked his finger, causing Betty to show up sitting on Cerilla’s lap.
“What?” She was deep underground working on her lair, so she came up the moment she felt Arad call her with magic. She then looked around and saw the girls getting naked, “Oh!” Her eyes sparked, “Want me to join in?”
“Ask them first,” He pointed at Cerilla and Jasmine. “I called you here because I needed you to bring Sena from her mansion in Croc City. I need her help.”
Betty frowned, “What? And I got my hopes up.” She sighed with a sad face, and Cerilla hugged her from behind. “Do what he says, and you can join us. But on a condition.”
Betty looked at Cerilla with a smile, “Of course, I’ll suck your toes, and hers as well.” She pointed at Jasmine, but Cerilla giggled.
“Not that. I want some information about the nobles who sent their children to your university. Of course, I’m only interested in the high elves.”
“Give me anything about the dark elves as well,” Jasmine said in the back.
“Got it! I’ll snatch those papers on my way.” Betty jumped from Cerilla’s lap and disappeared in a flash.
