Chapter 1208: Dangerous Chase

A sleek-looking spaceship, designed like a bird, zooms across the dark universe, speeding toward Earth.

Inside the ship, Nadia and Yuying sat, drinking wine they had purchased from a planet that houses a special race that specialises in winemaking.

“These Caelivorians sure know how to make good wine,” Yuying said, swirling her wine glass, making the red wine move like a calm ocean.

“They sure do,” Nadia nodded, feeling the taste of the wine pass through her throat, down her stomach.

It’s already been 9 months since they left home.

When they left, the first planet they arrived on was a trade planet called Zyrexxa. It is a hub for all kinds of trades and activities.

It also serves as an intergalactic station where all those entering the human universe can rest before venturing into the millions of worlds within it.

They first had to deposit the money Klaus gave them.

…Well, what he gave them is something they would have to exchange for cash.

It is called God Crystal. It is a different kind of currency, much more valuable than Universe coins or even Heaven Crystals.

Just one God Crystal, if in good shape, is worth 500 billion Universe coins (crystals).

So they got a Universe ID for Nadia, who, despite her lineage as an elf, was able to obtain one and even open a bank account at the Universe Bank.

Once that was done, they deposited the cash and started buying the treasures.

They focused on the ones Klaus needed, which took them to four planets before they managed to acquire all. Then, when done, they started spending the remaining money on treasures for their sisters and friends.

Klaus already told them to spend every last penny on buying treasures, and so they did. Thankfully, they managed to spend all the money on useful items that would help them and their friends raise their strength.

Nobody knew why treasure buying led them to a planet where only wine is made. However, they acquired so many treasures that when used can take most of them a step closer to immortality.

“I am sure Lady Flora would miss us. I mean, we spent 300 million on wine at just her store. If not for being a VIP member at the Universe Bank in the Human Universe, I am sure they would have flagged my card.

I mean, who even buys 300 million worth of wine?”

The two ladies giggled, taking a sip of their wine.

Nadia even went ahead and topped up her glass, showing she had no plans to keep her sanity intact. She wanted to drink and sleep for a few weeks since they would reach Earth in 3 weeks.

They spent 250 million Universe Coins on upgrading their ship. This is because they realised how slow their ship was compared to the faster ones they saw when they arrived on the trade planet.

So, since getting to Earth is now just 3 weeks of flying, she wants to become drunk.

“Just don’t overdo it, Nadia; we want to show a beautiful image when we meet Klaus. I am sure he will be thrilled you talked me into spending 300 million on just wine.”

Nadia pouted, “You were the one who went on about how some wines can aid a person in gaining enlightenment and finally breaking through to the Immortal stage.”

Yuying chuckled, recalling the beautiful conversation. Her fluffy tails billowed in the air behind her.

“I merely said there is a wine that can do that magic. You were the one who went on that search for a wine store, and when you weren’t satisfied with their stockpile, you looked for the factory.”

Nadia blushed, knowing she may have gone overboard. However, she knows they have the wine and can only think about finding a way to drink it all.

“Our family is large, so we have much to drink.”

“If you say so.”

The two ladies continued to drink. Meanwhile, inside the Puppet Shop, Nadia’s puppets were also having a pleasant afternoon with bottles of wine, each costing several thousand Universe Coins.

Nadia made sure they were compensated for helping them handle a few bugs who tried to take advantage of two beautiful, vulnerable ladies who seemed to be far from home.

An elf and a fox walking together in a human world sure screamed attention, and they had their fair share of it.

Suddenly, the spaceship went into red alert, startling Yuying and Nadia, who jumped to their feet.

“We are under attack,” Nadia said, looking at a tablet that appeared in her hand from out of nowhere.

“It is a B-class battleship. We can’t outrun it.” Their ship is C-class.

Yuying rushed to the deck of the ship and tapped a few buttons. Suddenly, the wings of the ship that had been shaped like a bird’s wings flipped up and started burning red smoke.

“I have engaged the Aether Hyper Drives. It will save us from dying for a few seconds. So let’s think of something before they shoot at us.”

As expected, the moment the Aether Drives, which they had installed just a few days ago, engaged, a beam fired from a dark ship speeding through the warp channel streaked past the bird ship.

“These bastards, do they want to kill us both?” Nadia cursed as she scanned the ship chasing them using an advanced scanner they spent 4 billion Universe Coins on.

When the scan was complete and she saw the message, her expression turned pale.

“What?” Yuying asked.

“We have a problem. There are 25 Core Formation, 8 Empyreans, and two Immortals in the ship chasing us.”

“That is indeed a problem,” Yuying turned and looked at a red blinking dot on the screen before her. “How strong are the Immortals?”

“The scanner isn’t advanced enough to see their rank, but they wouldn’t be stronger than Early Immortals.”

“This is bad then.”

Nadia looked at the tablet for a second before turning to Yuying. “You said you won first place in the Interplanetary Combat Pilot Competition, right?”

“I did say that… But know that it was inside the Dark Virtual Space, not reality.”

“Well, it is about to become reality,” Nadia projected a map in the air. “If we warp out, we will arrive in an asteroid field. Since we can’t face them head-on, we must use the asteroid field to hide from them and then call for help.”

With just a thought, they could call for help from their sisters or teleport to them. However, to do that, they must first exit warp and lose their attackers.

The connection they shared was powerful, but it could not be used in such dire situations. Also, Yuying was not part of the harem yet, so she couldn’t teleport like Nadia.

“This is a bad idea,” Yuying said, but Nadia just smiled. “This is the only way. I have already informed Queenie, and she is on standby.”

“Very well, but if we crash into an asteroid and die, it is your fault.” Yuying took manual control of the ship.

“Hang on to something.” The moment she said that, the spaceship dove into the space channel and appeared in a field filled with asteroids.

Yuying started piloting the ship while Nadia worked on tracking the enemy. A few minutes after they emerged from warp, the black spaceship appeared and began chasing them.

Back on Earth, Queenie, Thyra, Unity, Lily, and the rest of her sisters stood on alert, ready to teleport at Nadia’s command, when suddenly, the clouds parted, and a spaceship entered Earth’s atmosphere.

Klaus and his wives had returned.
