The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 1209: Rescue Mission

Chapter 1209: Rescue Mission

The ladies didn’t even let the ship land; they rushed toward it, knowing Klaus had returned.

Klaus teleported out because he could tell from their faces that something was bothering them.

“What is wrong?” he asked the moment he appeared on the outside.

“Yuying and Nadia are under attack,” Queenie replied, causing the expression on Klaus’s face to change.

He immediately tapped into the connection between him and Nadia. ’Nadia, you two should teleport away now. Leave the ship behind and teleport.’

Nadia, who seemed happy to hear Klaus’s voice in her head since it had been months already, replied, ’We can’t teleport. For some reason, the teleportation feature is not working now that we are under attack.

It seems that when we are in danger, it doesn’t work unless we manage to distance ourselves from the affected area.

Also, even if I can teleport, Yuying can’t. So we can only hide from them long enough to call for help. But don’t worry, we are in an asteroid field, so catching us will be hard.

Maybe we can even get a breather and allow you to teleport to us.’

Klaus didn’t like what he heard. ’Then stop and get out of the ship. That will cause them to stop firing at you as well. It will restore the connection so I can teleport to you.

’Okay.’ Nadia had complete trust in Klaus, so hearing his command, she obeyed.

“Yuying, stop flying the spaceship.”

“Why?”

“Klaus is on the way.”

“Oh… okay then.” Just as Nadia did, Yuying trusted Klaus completely, so after dodging an asteroid, she brought the spaceship to a halt.

As expected, the black spaceship chasing them also came to a halt, and all 35 warriors inside, having the appearance of bandits, walked out.

When Yuying and Nadia saw them, their expressions changed.

“Bastards.” Nadia summoned her Five Core Formation and the Empyrean Stage puppets, who immediately went into combat mode.

“Ladies, no need to struggle. Just hand over the Blood Heart Flower, and we will make sure your death is swift and painless,” one of the immortals, a Level 7 Early Immortal, said, wearing a grin.

Yuying formed a hand seal, and her nine tails grew longer. “If you know what is best for you, you will turn around and run off immediately.”

The reason they recognized this bastard is because of a certain Ice Human pampered bastard who came after the Blood Heart Flower, the same treasure Klaus needed, and Yuying and Nadia were after.

It was a heated bidding war, but Nadia and Yuying managed to win.

Unbeknownst to them, the bastard was the lastborn of a Bandit King. Naturally, offending him was bad, but the two clueless ladies who wanted the flower for their man went even further, outbidding him.

Now, it seemed that pompous bastard had sent his lackeys after them.

“Oh, this is not the situation where you girls say that, then the next second, a demi-god appears to save the day.” The second immortal retrieved a 3-meter-long gun from his space ring, holding it on his shoulder like some thug.

“This is an A-Class gun. Even if a demi-god comes, they wouldn’t be leaving unscathed.”

Nadia and Yuying frowned. They themselves had a B-Class weapon; however, compared to an A-Class, it was pitiful.

“Don’t make things hard for yourselves… it will be best if you surrender… perhaps, my young master will even consider making you his plaything.”

CRACK

“AaaaaarrrggghhhHHH!”

The void crack and the immortal holding the gun screamed as a 2-meter-long jagged sword stabbed through his heart from the back, appearing on his chest.

The sword twisted and was engulfed in white flames.

“AAARRRGGGHHHH” The immortal screams even louder as his immortal soul is engulfed in soul fire too.

The second immortal tried to intervene, but the void cracked behind him, and a hand pulled him in.

He tried to resist, but the hold on him was rather firm, so before he could tell, he appeared inside the void.

As for the one with the gun, the flame that engulfed him was the Soul Fury Flame, so dying was the only thing for him.

Not even his immortal soul could survive such a flame. Klaus pulled the sword, leaving him to die screaming.

The gun fell from his shoulder and vanished into the void.

The 8 Empyreans and 25 Core Formation Experts became alarmed.

“RETREAT!”

The wise one among them called for a retreat; however, how could they be allowed to run?

“Blood Domain!”

The space cracked, and at once, the entire surrounding turned red. The scene changed, and instead of an asteroid field, a domain of blood and carnage surrounded them.

The domain instantly cuts off their stamina and health.

“You dare touch my sisters…” Queenie appeared in the air, her eyes burning red as she pulled two short swords from thin air.

With every step she took, the space under her feet cracked.

This shows just how much influence she had in her blood domain.

“Kill her!”

All 8 Empyreans and the 25 Core Formation Experts charged at her. However, before they could close in on her, powerful blood chains burst out of the ground and started latching onto their legs.

Those who sensed the chains early managed to evade; however, as soon as they escaped, a door opened before them, and 12 hooded figures walked out and lunged at them.

All 12 hooded figures were Empyrean Stage warriors—each radiating the power of death.

Queenie turned to the door leading to Asha’s insect domain and smirked. Then she charged at the first Empyrean Stage warrior to reach her.

Asha didn’t seem to mind, considering she had invaded Queenie’s domain. She stood at the entrance of the door and watched as her 12 Death Agents clashed with the bandits.

On the outside, Nadia and Yuying stood calmly, staring at the red domain before them with calm expressions. They knew Queenie had arrived, and she was doing her thing.

However, as to how the first immortal died and the second was pulled inside the void, they had no idea.

Suddenly, with the exception of Anna, the rest of Klaus’s wives appeared. “Are you ladies alright?” Lucy asked, manifesting two fruits from thin air and handing them over.

“We are fine, Lucy. Those bastards didn’t make things difficult for us.” Nadia tried to reject the healing fruit, but Lucy shoved it in her face.

She had no choice but to take it and eat.

“Where is Klaus?” Nadia asked.

“He is inside the void,” Kathy replied with a small smile. As someone who had trained with him for years inside the Void Region, they knew Klaus was merely testing his new abilities.

Deep inside the void, Klaus stood calmly, watching the immortal wander like he had lost his sense of direction.

“Where am I?”

He kept asking the same question, yet no answer came.

Meanwhile, Klaus only stood calmly as if he were calculating something. After a few minutes, he sighed.

“Looks like I still need to raise my strength to at least the Nirvana Stage before leaving home.” He had just spent a couple of minutes analyzing the aura of the Level 7 Early Immortal, calculating the odds of him succeeding in killing him.

However, he realized he wouldn’t be able to kill an immortal without the void.

The problem was that, despite having formed his Origin Void Mark, he could not yet manifest the void into reality, so unless he managed to sneakily pull his opponent into the void, killing an immortal was beyond him

“Immortals are scary. Just killing one had drained one core.”

Klaus smiled evilly. “Then again, killing another one will make me feel happy.”
