The Martial Unity

Chapter 3533: Merits of the Alliance

Chapter 3533: Merits of the Alliance

The agreement between West Genoran Elven Civilization, Panamic Civilization, and the leader of the Harmonist Faction of the Pasupati Clans was announced within hours of discussion, shortly after it was ratified in the Panamic Alliance, within dark elven civilization, and within the clans that Lord Vakratunda had some authority over.

They announced an armistice and a security agreement for mining operations on the ocean floor of the Great Void Ocean, while announcing negotiations for a joint venture with each other when mining for negatron matter. The forces of the Panama Continent mobilized rapidly as each of the powerhouses deftly deployed their Martial Sages to the disposal of the Panamic Alliance, while the world bridges were used to transport monsters of the Beast Domain into the waters of the Great Nam Ocean and were controlled with the authority of the Elder Tree that had authority bestowed by Rui.

“Our forces are on the very edge of the Great Nam Ocean as we speak,” Emperor Rael’s voice was powerful and heavy. “We have divided our forces into four divisions. Martial, monster, research, and mining. Together, the negatron mining operation team is equipped with everything that we need. Ordinarily, we would have more time to thoroughly iron out the finer details, but in this moment, I appreciate your support for this hastened mission in recognition of the fact that we can’t afford to waste time.”

The Emperor of Harmony was seated at the head of the conference table within his palace, leaning forward as he rested his elbows on the table, steepling his fingers. His serious golden eyes swept around the room, gazing at the projection of the leaders of Sage-level powerhouses across human civilization.

Their body language was one of severity and anticipation.

The opportunities that the newly formed negatron mines at the very bottom of the Great Nam Ocean proved to be too difficult for them to possibly resist. With the power of even greater negatron matter, they could open wormholes an incredible distance away, reaching places that were entirely beyond their reach in the past.

As long as they gathered enough, the entire universe was within their reach.

However, at the same time, they recognized how bad this was for the Panama Continent strategically. The Panama Continent had an absolute advantage in this field before the battle between Rui and Lord Shenlong. As the only continent and civilization possessing this priceless resource, they were destined to win the race to the stars.

It was only a matter of time before they acquired the wormhole technology of the true world and combined it with their negatron technology, allowing them to reach the stars in the night sky and gain access to virtually infinite resources in terms of energy and matter.

Now, they had been robbed of that exclusivity, of that advantage.

Now, they were no longer the only forces in the world to get their hands on the negatron matter that was spread across the ocean floor. Of course, they had other priceless exotic matter that was capable of other miracles, and as long as they didn’t falter in their mining operations, they would not fall behind the other civilizations in the world. With their existing negatron matter stash, they would still likely have an advantage, albeit to a lesser degree.

“I agreed to deploy my Martial Sages to the Panamic Alliance because I agreed with the importance of a united front and immediate action, but we have not discussed compensation.”

Emperor Rael’s gaze shifted to the source of the burly masculine voice.

King K’uk’ulkan of the Marinaera Kingdom.

His upper body was bare, save for golden adornments and jewelry across his arms and wrists, while his lower half was adorned with several layers of clothing traditional to the underwater kingdom. His long flowing hair floated midair as if he were underwater.

Which, he was.

“My Martial Sages are the only reason that we have any adapted pathwalkers to the depths of the ocean,” King K’uk’lkan growled. “If not for that, we would be at as much of a disadvantage in the depths of the ocean as the elves. My Kingdom deserves a greater portion of the riches that we gain from the Great Void Ocean. If not…”

His eyes sharpened.

“I don’t mind breaking apart from the Panamic Alliance and commencing my own underwater mining operations within the depths of the Great Void Ocean.”

His words were laced with an intense tone.

The air in the meeting grew tense as Emperor Rael gazed head-on at King K’uk’ulkan.

“Of course,” Emperor Rael smiled. “I would not deny you fair compensation, my friend. It is indeed true that out of all the Sage-level powerhouses here, you deserve the highest compensation. I highly doubt anybody here disputes that your aquatic Martial Artists are by far the most effective at underwater mining operations.”

King K’uk’ulkan softened at those words as his intensity reduced. As long as his contributions and his merits were recognized and duly compensated, he was more than willing to cooperate with the Emperor of Harmony and the Panamic Alliance. He didn’t have any doubts that the Emperor of Harmony would treat him fairly. Barring one or two mishaps, the Emperor of Harmony had a sterling reputation for treating his partners fairly.

“Our negotiation teams can negotiate the minutiae of exactly how much each party is obligated to get,” Emperor Rael remarked. “What’s important for now is to ensure that all of us don’t lose on the international stage. And that is why the joint venture initiative with the dark elves will be really important.”

Prime Minister Edward, seated furthest away from the Emperor of Harmony, sharpened his eyes. “Are the elves not weak outside their continent and that far away under the water? What’s the point of allying with them? What do we gain relative to them?”

Emperor Rael turned to his old rival with a calm gaze. “They are the most equipped for mass underwater mining. They have species of flora that are designed and evolved for high-pressure geothermally active environments. They can plant this flora across the ocean floor, and it will naturally grow, expand, and spread at a tremendous rate. Their roots will naturally absorb a lot of negatron matter from the mines and process it before supplying it to us.”
