Chapter 3622: Powerful Incentives
Chapter 3622: Powerful Incentives
His declaration hung in the air like an impending storm as the atmosphere grew heavier.
“The tekvores have attacked us, and the giants come to do the same,” he declared. “Should they succeed, they will not stop at the Kandrian Empire; their wrath will spread across human civilization. And stopping them will become ten times as difficult as before if they manage to enter our continent. Thus…”
His tone grew more intense.
“We must halt them at sea, before they can get anywhere near our continent. This is imperative. For the sake of human civilization.”
He raised his hands in a beckoning gesture. “I ask you to go to war for us, for human civilization. It… will be difficult and intense. But in return, the Panamic Alliance will bestow upon you great resources and power. Our longevity potions production has improved with the biotechnology that we have gained from not only the Divine Doctor but also the elves and the therianthropes. We are now able to supply all of you with longevity potions that will prolong your life by decades and slow down your healing.”
Many Martial Masters and Sages stirred at those words with great interest and enthusiasm. Indeed, this was the way that the Panamic Alliance had managed to get so all Martial Masters and Sages to submit to the alliance to such an extent.
Most Martial Masters and Sages had not pledged absolute loyalty to their states the way that someone like Sage Sayfeel had pledged loyalty to the Emperor of Harmony no matter what.
Many of them were private individuals, like most Martial Artists, who were generally independent contractors, generally associated with one state or another, while even more led their own organizations, families, and sects.
They could not be commanded to do anything. The way that the Emperor of Harmony had managed to get them all on board was by leveraging the psychological inertia from their days in the Beast Domain led by Rui Quarrier, and also the benefits that they sought but couldn’t get by themselves.
Prolonging their life.
A combination of independent technological development in the Esocline Federation, the Kandrian Empire, and even the Blood Cult, as well as the priceless knowledge of the Divine Doctor and true world knowledge and technology, new longevity potions that were more than an order of magnitude easier to produce had been created.
This was one of the few things that could move Martial Artists of the Upper Realms. They had wealth, power, influence, and prestige by their own merit.
It made them more attached to life, unwilling to die quickly after having ground as hard as they had for decades and centuries. This was especially so when the manifold had drained much of their life into training to abuse the fourteen-factor time acceleration.
“Fight and win, Martial Artists of the Upper Realm,” Emperor Rael straightforwardly declared. “And these treatments will be yours.”
Instantly, a profound determination blazed in their eyes. They were inclined to fight anyway because it was bad for all of them if the tekvores or giants entered their continent, but it also helped that there were things to look forward to.
“Fare well, my friends, and good luck.” Emperor Rael nodded at them. “Human civilization depends on you.”
Emperor Rael went away after addressing the arriving Martial Artists.
As Emperor, it would not look good for him not to address so many powerful people who had come to defend his country, even if he framed it as a battle for human civilization.
At the same time, he was tremendously busy.
“Sir, your scheduled meeting is almost about to begin!”
“Let’s go.” Emperor Rael stormed towards the conference room prepared for him with a severe expression, quickly taking a seat on one side, before breathing deeply to catch his breath.
He didn’t want to make a bad first impression on the people he was about to meet.
He knew that the war that was occurring at the current rate was largely untenable.
The Pasupati Clans of Kiriket were not able to draw away all the forces of Greater Tekvoria due to the fact that Lord Vakratunda had yet to unify all of Kiriket under his banner.
And Emperor Rael couldn’t even blame him.
Even though it felt like a long time ago, Lord Shenlong had only died less than a week ago, leaving the entire continent in political disarray, and Lord Vakratunda had done a pretty decent job at uniting the continent. But there were still too many who had yet to join him.
This meant that Greater Tekvoria was still able to divert half of its power to mounting its attack on the Kandrian Empire. And with the giants also largely mobilizing all their power against Kandria, there was no way that Panamic Civilization could hold out for long under these conditions.
The dark elves could only ameliorate this shortcoming due to their continental restrictions.
“We need allies.”
This conclusion was why Emperor Rael had left Prime Minister Edward in charge of the defense of the continent and had focused on the ally gathering process because he was better at it than Edward and he was handling the former just fine.
Right now, he was pressed with finalizing negotiations with the most eager parties who sought negatron matter, and he intended to seal the deal as soon as possible before it was too late.
BZZZT
A three-dimensional hologram was projected on the other side of the table as the conference call began.
It was the projection of an elderly dwarf with luxuriously royal clothes and a large heavy crown that sat on his head, radiating great beauty through the projection.
Emperor Rael smiled. “Emperor Molt Von Bournvyrne. It is truly a pleasure to finally be able to speak with you directly.”
Emperor Rael spoke in the dwarvish tongue with perfect fluency.
“My…” The elderly dwarf raised his eyebrow. “You honor me deeply by speaking in my tongue. I am grateful, Emperor Rael. I hope to come away from this meeting having forged an alliance with the Panamic Alliance. Should we align, we, the Bournvyrne Kingdom, shall secure the Panama Continent from all those who seek to harm it!”
