Chapter 3624: Even Greater Distance
Chapter 3624: Even Greater Distance
In the Great Nam Ocean off East Panama, the giants weathered the many attacks from the retreating submarines that bombarded them with powerful sieges, inflicting wounds and slowing down the approach of the powerful giants that swam through the ocean.
RUMBLE!!!
The oceans quaked even as giant explosions emerged from the water, launching into the air as the bright light of the morning sun sparkled in the dancing water, and violent winds emerged from each explosion, blowing anything away.
The maritime activity that had slowly commenced over more than a year after the Unfolding, to and from the Panama Continent, had stopped as seafaring companies, groups, and outfits simply halted all their operations anywhere near the Panama Continent, leaving the ocean empty, save for the brewing conflicts.
The giants drew closer and closer as they swam well beneath the surface of the waters, moving shockingly fast for someone of their size, while the submarines kept unleashing onslaughts of sieges on them from afar, retreating all the while.
“Keep drawing them in,” the commander of the fleet declared with a serious expression. “We need to get them into the surfacing zone where they can be extricated from within the ocean for our Martial Artists to fight. Keep firing!”
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!
With each blast, the giants suffered wounds.
And yet, they kept drawing closer and closer.
Until they finally crossed the line.
RUMBLE!!!
Within the depths of the ocean were implanted aquatic flora that thrived in the darkness. They quivered as Mother Alicia activated them, causing them to create powerful currents that pushed water upwards, sending everything that floated in the water to emerge to the surface by virtue of the sheer force of that the plants were surprisingly capable of generating.
RUMBLE!!!
Within moments, countless giants emerged from within the depths of the water with a surprised expression, covered in light wounds from all the attacks that they had withstood. The scene itself was something that would send a chill down the spine of everybody who bore witness to it.
It was a scene that would have sent any normal group of people running for their lives.
Unfortunately for the giants, the Martial Artists that awaited them were hardly normal.
“ATTACK!” Sage Jinryong Namgung roared as he led countless Martial Artists long with him.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
A tremendous onslaught of attacks washed over the giants, further caught off guard by the sudden offensive surge that exceeded their expectations. They had expected to force the Panamanians to bring back their sea monsters to fight them, but they hadn’t expected that they would face the Martial Artists instead.
“When the Suneater returns, you will all be doomed anyway.” The largest giant at the very forefront sharpened his eyes with a ferocious expression on his face as he remained unperturbed by the onslaught of sound, wind, and general heaven attacks.
His body was bare, save for a loincloth and coat fashioned from the pelt of some powerful therianthrope beast. His body was rugged and titanic, towering over the entire battlefield like a giant monster, drawing the most amount of attention relative to his peers.
He was the leader of the giant army.
Several Martial Sages charged towards him, launching powerful Sage-level attacks.
And yet, they didn’t so much as even put a scratch on him.
His dark eyes flared with a tremendous amount of power as glowing red streaks emerged across his entire body.
RUMBLE!!!
The world shook as the giant activated his Giant Heart, gaining a tremendous flood of power that coursed through his entire body. The sheer brightness of his power illuminated the entire world with a tremendous brightness. Martial Artists froze with fear as he lifted his arms, before swinging them with great power, launching a truly destructive attack.
One that almost none of them could defend against.
“The order within you is transparent.” Sage Jinryong’s voice reached the giant just moments before the attack landed.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
RUMBLE!!!!!
The giant’s eyes widened as the Transcendent Candidate intercepted his attack with his body, causing a violent shockwave of great power to emerge from the collision that pushed everyone apart.
The oceans and the heavens shook upon the weight of that impact as the two sides beheld the most powerful warriors of their group facing off against each other, before instinctively putting even greater distance between themselves and the two powerhouses.
There already was a stratification to avoid friendly fire, but when it came to Transcendent Candidates and Transcendent Candidate caliber warriors, there was no such thing as too far.
“I will not allow your gluttonous kind to set foot on the Panama Continent.” Sage Jinryong Namgung declared with a ferocious voice as his dark eyes sharpened. “Retreat or face death.”
The giant leader snorted at those words as his eyes sparkled with a hint of hunger.
“I will consume you, and then I will consume your entire continent.”
He roared, charging towards the Reverend of Reckoning, unleashing a powerful swing that churned the very fabric of space and time. Sage Jinryong Namgung sharpened his dark eyes as he shifted swiftly, barely avoiding the blindingly fast and powerful attack.
WHOOSH
RUMBLE!!!
Even the shockwaves generated by the attack proved to be truly turbulent, making it almost impossible for any Martial Sage to evade the next attack that threatened to crush him.
And yet, the Reverend of Reckoning was no ordinary Martial Sage.
WHOOSH
With just the lightest of steps, he evaded the giant’s foot that blasted into the surface of the ocean instead, causing a tremendously enormous explosion to erupt.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
A surge of water larger than a mountain emerged from the ocean as the entire battlefield shook with great violence.
RUMBLE!!!
Martial Artists and giants froze as they saw the incoming mountain-like tsunami erupt towards them faster than they could get away from it.
“Watch out!”
“HOLD YOUR BREATH!”
“AAAARRGHH!!!”
RUMBLE!!!!!
The tsunami swallowed up countless Martial Artists and giants alike, leaving them disoriented and flustered even as the elven aquatic flora systems resurfaced them with powerful upward currents.
A single realization dawned on all Martial Artists and giants.
“We need to put even greater distance between us and those two monsters!”
