Chapter 3623: Surprising Fate
Chapter 3623: Surprising Fate
Twenty-four hours had passed since war erupted across the true world. In just the span of a single day, the world order had been upended as a radically new environment was fostered by conflict over the negatron mines that had emerged at the bottom of the Great Void Ocean.
NOVA’s plan of accelerating the conflict before the Panamic Alliance could get much of a headstart with negatron matter had worked. Her attack on the Kandrian Empire, albeit intercepted as sea, managed to spark a conflagration that erupted into all-out war that put tremendous pressure upon the Panamic Alliance.
The tekvores fought on two fronts, including the Panamic front and the Kiriket front, defending themselves in one case and attacking in another. The therianthropes had managed to unify a lot more over the span of just a week compared right after the Dragon Emperor had died.
A large number of the Pasupati Clans were forced to come to the terms that Lord Shenlong was simply dead and there was no way he was coming back. There was no point in trying to continue hostilities with a faction that did indeed conspire to kill him when there were more important things that they needed to focus on, such as negatron matter.
A larger and larger number of whallic vessels emerged from the Continent of Kiriket, charging Northeast to the continent of Acherialis while NOVA was forced to deploy a greater and greater number of forces to them in check. The sea between the two adjacent continents turn into a complete war zone where countless siege weapons and pathwalker attacks ravaged the entire area, causing the ocean to quake at the onslaught of attack from both sides.
NOVA continued deploying Argenton at the Kiriket war front, since he had been hard countered by a MECHA specifically designed for him. The attacks on Acherialis took away crucial power from the other warfront giving the Kandrian Empire precious breathing space as they dealt with the invading giant army.
BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM!!!
The world shook as a myriad of aquatic siege attacks from Kandrian submarines blasted the swimming giant army, ravaging them with a great onslaught of attack.
“Maintain the siege at full power!” The fleet commander bellowed. “We must soften them up for our Martial Artists to handle!”
On a bright morning, the oceans between East Panama and Samarkha shook with violence as tremendous amounts of power caused the surface of the waters to quake vigorously. The ocean winds danced chaotically in a maelstrom of force and power as tremendous explosions caused large amounts of water to be launched into the air.
Beneath the quaking surface, large submarines launched countless sonic blasts at the invading giant army while retreating from them, returning towards the Kandrian Empire in East Panama. The fleet had been ordered to soften incoming aquatic forces so that they could be dealt with more easily by the Martial Artists who were on standby, awaiting their moment.
The fleet of submarines contained forces from not just the Kandrian Empire but also other nation-states, which lent their most powerful submarine military assets to the defense of the Kandrian Empire and, subsequently, all of Panamic Civilization.
“Everything is going in accordance with your plan, sir. The giants have slowed down, which in turn increases the amount of time they get bombarded with aquatic siege attacks, which in turn slows them down even more. This way, we will be able to soften the frontliners considerably for when the Martial Artists face them,” one officer reported to him. “Meanwhile, the elven system is already in place and is on standby; the dark elves have kept their promise and have ensured that we can remove the giants from the water when the time comes.”
The dark elves had done almost everything in support of the Panamic Alliance short of actually waging war, which they couldn’t do due to their greatest weakness, of course. They had supplied the Panamic Alliance with a species of aquatic flora that could create powerful upward water currents that would force the giants to come to the surface, where Martial Artists could engage them in combat.
Grand General Edward had wisely had them implement it everywhere in the vicinity of the Kandrian Empire to ensure that no matter what route the giants took, they would eventually be forced to the surface of the ocean, where they could be better combated.
The simple fact of the matter was that Martial Artists could not fight underwater as well as the giants did. Just the fact that the giants could breathe underwater and were extremely good swimmers instinctively meant that it was hopeless for Martial Artists, most of whom fought on land or in the air, to take them on.
“I am personally monitoring the flora creeper system,” Mother Alicia told him with a serious expression, her projection seated opposite the Britannian Prime Minister, beside the projection of the Alliance general reporting to Edward. “Rest assured, we will have the giants extricated from the ocean soon enough.”
The three of them were coordinating the current operation against the incoming giants, where Edward handled strategic and tactical planning, the general oversaw the execution of the operations, and Mother Alicia coordinated elven assets with them, whether it was support or intelligence.
Prime Minister Edward nodded with a serious expression as he stroked his long mustache. “The biggest priority is ensuring that the giants do not get through to a certain distance from Kandria. Should they get through, they will definitely inflict tremendous damage upon the Kandrian Empire.”
Those words made him feel truly surreal about the situation that he was in.
“To think that there would come a day when I would be fighting to protect the Kandrian Empire,” he muttered aloud. “Truly, one can never imagine what fate has in store for them.”
Mother Alicia smiled at him. “I heard from my husband that the two of you used to quarrel in the past.”
Prime Minister Edward snorted. “You make it sound like we were merely roughhousing on the playground. We waged wars across a large chunk of human civilization, all for us to one day work together to fight against greater threats.”
He simply shook his head with a mystified expression. “The future is unfathomable.”
“That, it is.”
