The Strongest War God

Chapter 1992 The Former Imperial Residence

Chapter 1992: The Former Imperial Residence Chapter 1992: The Former Imperial Residence Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation After the Northern Army conquered, every creature above the demon celestial level was killed.  Soon after, many human descendants began to settle in.

After ten thousand years of battles, there were essentially no flames of war left in the major stellar realms.  All the monsters in the stellar realm were subdued and knew who ruled the universe.

Under the control of the human race, any galaxy daring to raise an army in defiance was swiftly annihilated.  In these troubled times, strict laws prevailed—and Luther Carden took them to the extreme.

Braydon Neal flew into the sky toward the planet’s core.  Along his path, the vast forests were home to numerous demon beasts.  Some demon factions occupied these forests but had long submitted to the human race, paying annual tribute.  The Northern Army allowed these submissive forces to remain, understanding that the sheer number of demons would make total eradication an endless task.  Additionally, wiping out too many demons would negatively impact the human race’s needs for refining weapons and medicines, as well as preserving the universe’s ecological balance.  The demons also served as valuable training for human descendants.

In the planet’s core lay an oasis.  Spanning tens of thousands of miles, an ancient city emerged from the oasis, where humans frequently arrived.  The oasis’ ancient city was guarded by Northern Army elites.

Braydon arrived at the city gate, where four young men clad in black armor stood watch.  Above the gate hung a mirror that could reveal the true nature of any creature passing through.  This wasn’t only to distinguish various beings but served another purpose.  Long ago, when the Northern Army had first entered the starry skies, the fox race’s spirit body nearly wiped out the Northern Army sons in battle.  In response, Cole Colbie swore an oath that once the Northern Army gained power, they would eradicate the fox race entirely.  This mirror, therefore, aimed to expose fox and insect beings, who, once identified, would be shown no mercy.  This execution order had persisted in the Northern Army for ten thousand years.

As Braydon reached the gate, the mirror cast a faint glow on him.  He smiled slightly, “It’s a pretty good magic tool.” “If there’s nothing else, move along,” muttered a middle-aged cultivator overseeing the area.  The Northern Army’s presence here was largely a show of martial strength, while day-to-day governance of the galaxies was managed by the human race to prevent excessive bloodshed by Northern Army soldiers that could drive native monsters to rebellion.

Braydon returned a faint smile and continued on.  He had never expected every human disciple to recognize him, and for those outside of the Northern Army, he was practically unknown.  If Northern Army’s own disciples didn’t recognize him, his brother Luther would be alarmed.

Just past the city gate, Braydon noticed four black-armored youths in a nearby pavilion.  One looked over, surprise flashing in his eyes before he stood and approached.  The other three soon followed, drawing attention as they moved in unison toward Braydon.

The middle-aged cultivator who had just scolded Braydon quickly bowed.  All around, beings lining up to enter the city turned to stare at Braydon, their admiration barely hidden.

“How many soldiers guard this place?” Braydon asked.

“A regiment!” replied one of the youths, all at the peak of their cultivation from the Peak Army.

“Are the native creatures here obedient?” Braydon asked.

“Second Master has decreed that any demon creatures who submit to the cold sword can live.

Those who resist will be slain without mercy, and any creature above the level of demon celestial will be killed without question.” Braydon nodded, satisfied.  The Northern Army had expanded their territory, bringing tens of thousands of stellar realms under human control.  By eliminating high-level creatures, they prevented potential chaos.  Even if disturbances arose, without top combat power, the demons and saints could pose no threat.

Inside the city, a youth in black armor led troops through the streets, with all civilians giving way.

“Greetings, Commander!” he said, bowing.

“I am Immanuel Sanchez, regimental commander of the 9th regiment of the 2nd legion.” “I’m just here to observe,” Braydon replied, calmly reminding him, “Luther has instructed you on what to do.

Remember, though the Northern Army conquered these lands, governance should ultimately belong to the human race.

Don’t cling to power unnecessarily.” Immanuel nodded, replying, “Second Master has indeed directed us to entrust authority to others.

The Northern Army Cavalry will eventually go with our commander beyond the starry sky.

We are already preparing.” “Good,” Braydon affirmed, nodding.  Extending the Northern Army’s reach beyond the starry sky was indeed part of his larger plan.

In this universe, Northern Army banners flew across all major stellar realms.  Wherever their cold sword pointed, all races submitted.  The mission of the Northern Army was accomplished; past grudges had been paid in blood.  Now it was time for the next chapter.

Braydon didn’t linger.  After surveying the city and assessing conditions in the outer regions, he returned to Earth.  Passing through thousands of stellar realms along the way, he found situations similar to that in Immanuel’s territory, with countless humans stationed in various stellar realms to uphold order.

The Northern Army’s 1.4 million elite warriors spread throughout the universe, maintaining peace.  Any troublemakers were swiftly dealt with; the universe bowed to the Northern Army swords.

Upon returning to the blue Earth, Braydon found his homeland transformed beyond recognition.  For ten thousand years, martial arts had flourished, and the era of universal cultivation was well underway.  People no longer remembered Braydon or the Northern Army, yet any Earth cultivator who ventured into space knew of the Northern Army.

The human race ruled the universe, leading all others, and within the human race, the Northern Army held supremacy.  Under the banner of the Northern Army, all races stepped aside.

Braydon gazed into the void, centering on Earth.  Surrounding galaxies now held 100,000 life-bearing planets, each home to millions of cultivators hailing from all corners of the universe, knowing that this was the home of the Northern Army.
