Chapter 1347: Not long after arriving
Chapter 1347: Not long after arriving
The speed that his masters took care of things caught Lin Fan off guard.
It didn’t take long for them to arrange things so that his mountain would be looked after while he was gone.
It even seemed like they had gotten a mission for him just so he could leave without worrying about anything.
With how fast they moved, it really seemed like they wanted to get rid of him as soon as possible. Though he knew that this was all because they wanted him to be in a safe place for whatever was about to happen.
So in the end, Lin Fan had no choice but to leave.
The surprising thing was that Ye Qing Huan wasn’t coming with him.
Or it wasn’t that surprising since he knew that Ye Qing Huan would be involved with whatever they were doing. It was just that he was surprised that Ye Qing Huan wouldn’t go back with him to the Mu Empire.
In the past, she certainly would have done this…
So for her to avoid him now meant that things really were quite serious.
Though that didn’t mean that Ye Qing Huan didn’t plan things out for him.
She made sure to book all of the transport arrays that would send him back to the Mu Empire without any problems. Though even if she didn’t, it wasn’t as if Lin Fan would have struggled to book them himself since he was a core disciple as well.
As long as he showed the token that he received, it would have been easy for him to book a ride in a transport array. If he were to show the ring that his masters gave him, then they would have personally sent him on his way.
Still, Ye Qing Huan took care of everything for Lin Fan so he didn’t have to worry about anything.
When he arrived back at the Mu Empire, there was a part of Lin Fan that felt a bit empty.
Even though this was his home and he was coming back after all this time, he felt empty because of how he had been sent back like this.
“You’re back?” Yue Lan was the first one that he saw and she was caught off guard when she saw him.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to see him back, it was just that she didn’t know anything about him coming back. She had thought that it would be a while before she was able to see him again.
Lin Fan wasn’t surprised since his trip was something that had suddenly been planned for him.
It would have been strange if they knew that he had been on his way back.
After coming back to her senses, Yue Lan didn’t waste any time in gathering everyone to welcome him back. Even though they were clearly busy with their own things, all of them dropped everything to come see him.
There was a trace of warmth that filled Lin Fan’s heart when he saw this which helped him get over that other feeling he felt after being sent back here.
Though the reason that they all gathered to see him was one that he didn’t expect.
“It’s good that you’re back, they’ve been asking for you.”
“Huh?” Lin Fan was completely caught off guard when he heard this and he was even more confused when he realized who they were talking about.
After all, there should be no reason that they were looking for him.
“Big Sister Haku has something that she needs to discuss with you and it’s quite urgent. If you hadn’t come back, we would have had to send a message to you.” Rokuko said in a worried voice which made Lin Fan confused once more.
“What does she want to discuss with me?” Lin Fan asked in a confused voice.
Rokuko just shook her head as she said, “I don’t know. She said that this is something that she needs to discuss with you and only you.”
Lin Fan raised his brow as he looked at her with doubtful eyes, but it seemed like Rokuko was quite serious.
If Haku was being this serious with her, then it really might be something quite serious.
At the same time, Lin Fan couldn’t help thinking about how his masters had rushed him back to the Mu Empire.
If he put them together, it seemed like the timing really matched perfectly.
Then does that mean that it was something that was related to the magic continent?
But if it was the magic continent alone, it didn’t seem like it would be big enough.
Each continent was strong enough to deter the others from invading, so it wasn’t as if a part of one continent moving would be enough to make the Heavenly Demon Sect act this way.
The Heavenly Demon Sect was the strongest out of the Five Great Sects and had the most experts. They would be more than a match for the magic continent if they were to make a move.
“Let’s go tomorrow.”
Though it seemed like Rokuko was anxious about heading to see Haku, Lin Fan still pushed it to the next day.
Rokuko understood that he needed some rest since he came back, so she didn’t force the matter either.
In the end, it wasn’t as if Lin Fan really got any rest.
In the end, what happened was that Lin Fan had to catch up on the different things that he hadn’t been able to take care of while he was gone.
Even if there were people that could take care of things for him, it wasn’t as if they would be able to do everything for him. There were certain things that Lin Fan had to do himself and they had been piling up for a while.
Though he left most of those things alone since he didn’t want to deal with them.
The one thing that he did was go and see Huang Xie and Xiao Ming.
It had been a while since he had seen these two disciples of his and he felt like he had been neglecting them. Though it wasn’t as if this was completely his fault since he had no choice but to go to the Heavenly Demon Sect.
When he saw the two of them, he was surprised to find…
“Get away from me.”
Huang Xie had an awkward look as he watched Xiao Ming moving away from him.
It seemed that something had happened between these two disciples of his. They had been quite close before, but now it seemed like Xiao Ming didn’t even want to be in the same room with him.
“What happened?” Lin Fan asked in a confused voice.
The two of them had been so focused on their own matters that they hadn’t noticed that Lin Fan was here.
When they did, Xiao Ming was the first to move as she went behind Lin Fan and turned her back on Huang Xie. The way that she acted was as if she just couldn’t stand the sight of him.
Huang Xie awkwardly walked over before looking at Lin Fan as if he was asking for help.
With a sigh, Lin Fan said, “Alright, just tell me what happened and let’s see if we can settle this. The two of you are my disciples after all.”
“This junior brother of mine doesn’t respect me at all.” Xiao Ming said in an angry voice.
Lin Fan couldn’t help raising a brow in a doubtful manner. After all, he had seen the way that Huang Xie looked at Xiao Ming and he didn’t believe that this was true.
In fact, sometimes he was even worried that Huang XIe might be a bit too taken with Xiao Ming.
Seeing that Lin Fan revealed this look, Xiao Ming said, “Master, you’re not taking his side already, right?”
With an awkward cough to calm himself, Lin Fan said, “Of course not, your master is just confused about what is happening.”
“He’s always taking things too far. He’s looking down on me by offering everything to me.” Xiao Ming complained when she heard this.
Lin Fan couldn’t help revealing a wry smile when he heard this.
After all, it wasn’t as if this kind of treatment was something that others would complain about. Especially if they knew Huang Xie’s status as the Heaven’s Chosen, so the things that he was able to give them were far greater than normal things.
Still, there had to be a reason that Xiao Ming was acting like this.
“What kind of things has he given you?”
When Xiao Ming listed off all the different things that Huang Xie gave her, Lin Fan was starting to see what the problem was.
Even though Xiao Ming was someone that had been spoiled by the entire Love Sect because she was Lin Fan’s first disciple, it wasn’t as if she took more than she should.
The way that Huang Xie gave her things was almost as if he was treating her like a baby.
She did have her pride in matters like this and it was hurt when Huang Xie acted this way.
So it seemed like it was a matter of miscommunication between them.
With a sigh, Lin Fan took Huang Xie to the side for a private word.
Huang Xie looked at Lin Fan with a grateful look and was even hoping that he would be able to solve his problem.
However, Lin Fan just patted him on the shoulder and said, “Sometimes it’s not good to come on too strong.”
That was the only advice that Lin Fan gave him since this was something that they had to work out on their own.
Giving him too much advice would actually backfire rather than help.
He hoped that they could work things out soon.
