Chapter 3684: Quite Complicated
Chapter 3684: Quite Complicated
[Congratulations, hosts! The exploration quest has been concluded.]
[Congratulations, hosts! The clues to reach the Celestial Realm have been found. With that, the bonus reward conditions have been achieved.]
[Reward: 1000 Celestial Points.]
Rean and Roan nodded slightly, satisfied. Truth be told, the ’exploration’ part was already over. There was nothing else to explore further in the Golden Palace. The only reason the quest hadn’t finished when they got here was because the bonus reward conditions could still be fulfilled, which they just did.
Still, Victor hasn’t finished yet. "Just be aware that there are only three Great Void Black Holes apart from the Werdlem Universe’s one, and getting to them will be an arduous task. Even if you manage to get there somehow, they are strictly controlled by the Universes of Rank B and C. As you can imagine, we have many more Universes of those two ranks."
"They don’t give birth to as many Celestial Realm Prospects as the Werdlem Universe and the Rank A ones. But, at the same time, those three Great Void Black Holes don’t create anywhere near as many breaches as the Great Void Black Hole of the Werdlem Universe does."
Everyone looked at Victor. "Can’t everyone just use the breaches at the same time?"
"That won’t happen," Victor shook his head. "The breaches are tiny, and trying to establish a connection with the Celestial Plane is a complicated thing. If too many experts try to establish a connection with their own laws simultaneously, the breach will be kind of ’overloaded,’ ultimately collapsing. If that happens, everyone will fail."
"So not only do we need to get there, we also need to find a way to acquire slots for the breaches that happen. Does that mean there are fewer breaches happening than there are Peak Divinity Realm Experts trying to break through into the Celestial Realm?" The twins asked.
"Much the opposite," Victor shook his head again. "You will still have a few hundred breaches happening over a period of a hundred years. You definitely don’t have that many Celestial Realm Prospects appearing in the same period of time. Unfortunately, that is not the problem."
Celis was the first one to understand the problem. "If you fail, you can try again. Even in the Werdlem Universe’s Great Void Black Hole, only one Celestial Realm Expert appears every hundred years or so. That means..."
"Exactly," Victor continued from there. "The more Divinity Realm Experts who fail, the higher the number of experts waiting for their opportunity. After all, if you fail, just try again. The breaches exist, creating a connection is possible with them... but it is still extremely difficult. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are literally tens of thousands of Peak Divinity Realm Experts ready for the breakthrough, waiting in line. Most of them with failed attempts."
"This is going to be difficult," Rean commented while thinking. "The Great Void Black Hole of the Werdlem Universe gives birth to one Celestial Realm Expert every one hundred years or so, right? What is the rate of Celestial Realm Experts coming out of the three outside Great Void Black Holes?"
"Hum... last time I heard about it, you would get one every one thousand to two thousand years," Victor said, although he wasn’t 100% sure. "I haven’t checked on those in a while, so I don’t know if this rate has changed recently."
"Alright... and how do we get a slot to try a breach?" Kentucky asked straight away.
"Who knows?" Victor shrugged. "I’m responsible for a few F-Ranked Universes and their Universe Owners. I create Celestial Realm Experts with the Universe Root Eggs, so I don’t really pay attention to the other routes. That you will have to find on your own."
Rean, Roan, Celis, and Kentucky had pensive expressions. It looked hard to achieve, but not impossible. But then again, did they need that? Perhaps they would leave the Werdlem Empire before the Celestial Realm Breakthrough. At that time, they could try to find some other Great Void Black Hole outside the Empire’s Bubble.
Royer, on the other hand, seemed dejected. Now he knows how to become a Celestial Realm Expert without the Root Egg... but it might be the same as not knowing. He has never left his Universe to start with.
He needs to absorb Celestial Laws, which is already nearly impossible to happen in F956. Then he has to travel to the Great Void Black Holes, which is another near-impossible step. If that wasn’t enough, he needs a slot to simply try it out! He felt doomed already. "Is that really the only other way to reach the Celestial Realm?"
"Were you hearing me at all?" Victor didn’t like the question. "You could try a Tribulation. Just don’t ask me how to call one forth. No one can control how tribulations occur. But usually, they only target extremely heaven-defying geniuses. Even in the Werdlem Universe itself, you would be hard pressed to find such a genius every few million years, let alone outside it. So, do not rely on Tribulation to try to establish that connection."
"You said usually," Elsie commented. "That means there are other ways to call a Tribulation, right?"
"Hehe!" Victor found it funny. "Sure, you just need to do something that completely defies common sense. I don’t know... Try to destroy a Universe in a single attack, no exterior help, no treasures, no peculiar circumstances, just your own raw power against a proper, healthy Universe. Do something like this, and maybe, just MAYBE, you would lure a Tribulation onto you. Chances are it would still not happen, though. This is the kind of thing you would need to achieve to make a tribulation appear."
Royer bitterly smiled. It looked even more unlikely to happen. Even if he were a thousand times stronger, that wouldn’t be enough to destroy a single percent of the Divine Realm, let alone an entire Universe in a single attack.
Royer began to accept it. "Seems like I will need to wait until the day Rifindio passes the mantle again."
Victor finished with one last piece of information, although it wasn’t of much use. "The cultivation path is limitless. Who is to say these are the only ways to reach the Celestial Realm? As far as we know, there might actually be countless methods to get there. Maybe you will find another path."
"Anyway," Victor grabbed Rifindio right after. "I have now fulfilled my part of the agreement. I even told you more than I had to, so you better be thankful. I’ll now send you all out of my little Palace with all the other participants. Remember: You must not tell others about what you heard here today. Don’t blame me for what will happen if you break this rule."
Finally, space distorted, and everyone was pulled away. By the time their visions came back to normal, Rifindio and Victor were already gone. The twins’ group wouldn’t see Rifindio again for a while.
