Chapter 2558 – Lei Jue

Ming Ke and the three-tailed woman were stunned, but neither of them dared to say anything. From their perspective, staying alive came first.

Off in the distance, Liao Yuanshan and the others broke open the cage and freed their fellow Daoists.

When Su Yi saw this, he didn’t hesitate. He’d decided to visit the Heaven-Trampling Palace.

But it was then that he heard someone whooshing through the air.

More than ten dazzling beams of light appeared, whooshing their way with ferocious momentum. They made no effort to disguise themselves, either.

Their leader was a man with a bird’s head and electric wings. His eyes flashed like golden lightning, intimidating the soul.

When he shot over from afar, he was like a bolt of golden lightning tearing through the darkness, searingly bright, ferocious and terrifying.

“His Excellency Lei Jue!” Ming Ke’s spirits soared.

This new arrival was one of the eight Fiend Lords of the Heaven-Combating Hidden Realm, Fiend Lord Lei Jue!

A chaos fiend with innate mastery over lightning!

Ming Ke suppressed his mad delight; he dared not express it out loud for fear that Su Yi would slay him on the spot.

The three-tailed woman was obviously excited too, but just like Ming Ke, she dared not say anything out loud.

“What happened here?” The bird-headed man stood in the air and looked at Su Yi and the others.

What terrifying majesty! Liao Yuanshan and the others looked stricken. Don’t tell me this is a Half-Step Eternal?

The bird-headed man’s aura was just too terrifying. Even just standing there, he transformed the entire place into a lightning domain full of an air of destruction.

Ming Ke took a deep breath, then said bitterly, “Your Excellency, we… have been taken hostage…”

Su Yi sneered. “I have no intention of using you to threaten him.”

“Arrogant!” One of Lei Jue’s companions, a three-headed, six-armed giant, bellowed, “How dare a lowly human—”

But before he could finish his sentence, Su Yi raised his hand and pointed at the giant.

A streak of sword qi descended from the heavens, like a silver river flowing from the firmament, boundless and grand.

That indomitable sword force left Fiend Lord Lei Jue instantly solemn. He suddenly swung his lightning wings as if wielding a pair of ten-thousand-foot blades. He was aiming at that streak of sword qi.

Kaboom!

The entire stretch of sky collapsed. Firelight swept outward.

Fiend Lord Lei Jue managed to block Su Yi’s attack just in time, but the impact still left him staggering on his feet. He was almost forced backward.

The aftershock forced all his companions back, especially the three-headed giant, who was sent flying. Bloody sword cuts tore open all over his body.

Everyone was shocked.

Ming Ke and the three-tailed woman felt their scalps go numb.

Lei Jue was ranked fourth among the Fiend Lords. He was admittedly not the strongest, but he could still threaten human Half-Step Eternals!

Who could have imagined that a single strike would almost knock him off his feet?

Or that he’d be unable to protect those around him from the impact?

“Get back, all of you!” Fiend Lord Lei Jue took a step forward, countless rings of electricity forming around him. Arcs of lightning poured down like a waterfall, tearing open countless rifts in heaven and earth.

His imposing majesty was instantly far greater than before!

He waved his arm, and eighteen lightning rings whooshed forth, descending on Su Yi like an avalanche.

Su Yi waved his palm like a sword, clashing with him head-on.

Against all expectations, the eighteen lightning rings were incomparably mystical. Although he managed to cleave through them, one by one, the power they released as they broke forced him back again and again!

The criss-crossing attack of the lightning wings was blocked in midair, before it could reach Su Yi.

It was unable to advance so much as an inch further!

Hm? Fiend Lord Lei Jue’s pupils constricted. He relied purely on his attainments in the Dao of the Sword to block my killer move?

Before he could react, he watched as Su Yi extended his right arm, pressed his five fingers together like a sword, and gently slashed the air.

Fiend Lord Lei Jue’s lightning wings were severed in the middle, the wound perfectly smooth. His wings had been cut into four pieces!

The sword qi continued through the wings, cleaving open an unfathomably deep chasm in the air.

Fiend Lord Lei Jue staggered, feeling the impact. He let out a muffled grunt.

“What a tyrannical strike!” His brow furrowed, and his electric Laws surged around him, quickly condensing new lightning wings.

Except this time, the wings were covered entirely in bright red, bloody electric light. It formed a strange, electric whirlpool that enveloped and collapsed the entire area around him.

Fiend Lord Lei Jue’s ferocious majesty grew all the more terrifying. Even just looking upon him from afar was enough to fill the others with despair and dread!

Ming Ke gasped, his heart shaking. “The Blood of the Lightning Ancestor! This is Fiend Lord Lei Jue’s strongest bloodline ability, one of the strongest lightning origins of the God Domain’s chaos source!”

Throughout the ages, it was highly rare for the Seven Chaos Kings and the Eight Fiend Lords to attack. Thus, it had been a long time since even other chaos fiends of the Heaven-Combating hidden Realm had borne witness to the Blood of the Lightning Ancestor’s power.

It was obvious that Fiend Lord Lei Jue was going all out to defeat this outsider sword cultivator!

The descending blood-red lightning vortex split in two, both halves exploding in midair.

The sword qi continued, its power undiminished, and hurtled toward Fiend Lord Lei Jue.

Fiend Lord Lei Jue blocked with all his might, only for the impact to send him flying hundreds of feet, his hands bleeding!

Everyone was astonished. Fiend Lord Lei Jue seemed terrifying beyond measure, but Su Yi was obviously no pushover, either. He seemed to be getting even stronger, too!

Before the onlookers could recover from their astonishment, Su Yi gripped his sword qi as he might a sword and launched a second strike.

It swung along the same trajectory as his first attack, with no flourishes whatsoever.

Blood-red lightning erupted from Fiend Lord Lei Jue’s body, filling the nine heavens and the ten earths. It rumbled without end, brimming with terrifying destructive power as he attacked with all his might.

But that sword slash nonetheless sent him flying.

As blood-red lightning poured down, Su Yi stepped through the air and launched his third strike.

He just raised his sword and swung it, simple as could be, yet unreasonably powerful.

It seemed like it would cleave open the heavens and shatter the earth!

Fiend Lord Lei Jue’s expression shifted. He roared in fury, unleashing his unparalleled divine abilities.

Countless lightning bolts poured down, condensing into a red lightning pool. Lightning surged within it, simple, yet dense. It emanated an aura of primordial chaos, shocking the eyes and startling the heart.

Everyone felt a prickling pain on their skin. They were overcome with astonishment, their Dao Hearts quivering.

Because facing that lightning pool was like facing a divine tribulation!

Sword qi landed, shaking the lightning pool. Countless bolts of dazzling lightning shot forth, dyeing the entire area a striking, bloody red.

But then, a deafening impact rang out, and the ancient, mysterious lightning pool split open.

Not even this unparalleled, mighty divine ability could block Su Yi’s strike. It was torn open!

Off in the distance, Fiend Lord Lei Jue’s whole body quivered, and he hacked up a mouthful of blood. An incredulous look appeared on his avian face.

But Su Yi didn’t stop there. His Daoist robes swayed around him as he advanced, swinging his sword once more.

It seemed he wouldn’t rest until Fiend Lord Lei Jue was dead.

That unparalleled valiance, as if no one could stand in his way, sent chills coursing throughout the other chaos fiends’ bodies.

How could this sword cultivator from the outside world be so terrifying?
