Chapter 1693: Joining wandering wizards

Manager Lara’s words shook me to the core. I underestimated the identity of the giant existence.

Then I asked more things about the Magic Knight. Unfortunately, she doesn’t know either.

I don’t know what her reaction would be if she knew I actually saw that thing.

Then I spoke about a few other things before ending the call. I walked to the sofa and sat on it.

Hank, Otto and Patrick got separated. They were exploring the city and collecting intel at the same time.

Hank came across quite a few travelers, among them there were supreme wizards as well.

He came to one of the stalls and was going through the magic herbs. He knew these herbs were collected from the mountain.

The grades of the magic herbs were above grade 5. It was not useful to him. He was just going through it to overhear some conversations.

“Hey, did you know?”

“The Sand Fall City is gone. It disappeared into the Sand Dunes.”

Two wandering old men were discussing with each other. They were supreme wizards. But their words fell like a thunderclap in the ears of Hank.

Hank paused his hands. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He then rushed to the side of the old men. He forgot that the old men were supreme wizards.

He asked, “Old men, what are you saying?”

“Are you telling the truth?”

Hearing that the two old men were taken aback. They didn’t expect someone to overhear this conversation.

Instead of getting displeased, they thought that the young man was connected to Sand Fall City.

“I heard from my wandering friend. He got a message that Sand Fall City was destroyed. There is no need for us to travel there,” the old man said.

Hearing that, Hank was convinced. He knew the wandering wizards have their own group of friends.

Since they travel most of the time, if one encounters any problem, they would share it with other teams so that they can avoid the danger.

Right now, the information is the same. The information was shared that people could avoid going to Sand Fall City.

Hank recalled Master’s words earlier. He thought that the City was destroyed by that existence. So he rushed back to the hotel.

At the same time, Patrick and Otto collected information one after another. They returned to the hotel shortly.

Three of them shared the intel with me. My eyes gleamed with a twinkle.

“I didn’t expect that thing to destroy the city as well,” I uttered.

“The Magic Lord must be dead,” Hank said in a sad tone.

After knowing that information about the Giant’s existence, I was not surprised. That thing was used in magic wars in outer space.

So it’s an ordinary thing that it could take down the Magic Lord.

Then I thought of the Mage Union. My eyes turned cold. According to Otto, there are people from the magic city here.

But he didn’t verify whether they were connected to the Magic Towers of the Mage Union.

Then I said, “I have spoken to the manager. The situation at the Magic City was not good. The elders who supported me were outside the magic city.”

“They won’t return for at least a few months. I can’t go back before them. It would be risky,” I added.

“Master, there is no problem. We can continue to wander around the city,” Patrick said.

He was speaking like a former bandit leader.

“Harumph, you can do that. But I would like to stay in one place,” Otto said from the side.

“Master, I will follow your orders,” Hank said.

Hearing that, I nodded my head and said, “It’s not wise to stay in one place for a long time. Make a connection with the wandering wizard groups.”

“They travel to most places. We can join their group and travel to other places,” I added.

Gasp!

Otto exclaimed in surprise.

“Master, it’s a good idea. These wandering groups know more information than us,” Otto added.

Patrick said, “It’s safe to travel with them. Our identity will become legit.”

Hank said, “Master, I spoke to the two old men earlier. I can try contacting them.”

Hearing that, I told Patrick and Otto to go with Hank. They could talk to the old men to collect their information.

Three of them left the hotel again. I sighed inwardly.

I guess I’m going to experience the life of wanderers again. Then I shifted my attention to the city. I don’t know whether Magic Lords are staying in this city.

The wizard families could have Magic Lords in their family. Then I used the system to check. But the system results said that it found no one so far.

It brought me some relief.

An hour later,

Three of them came back. They brought good news with them. The two old men belonged to the wandering group. But they had gotten separated.

The two old men were travelling alone. They agreed to our request to join them. Maybe it’s because of Patrick and Otto. Both of them are Supreme Wizards.

It could guarantee more protection to their team.

“When are they leaving?” I asked.

Hank replied, “After hearing about the Sand Fall City destruction, they have decided to stay here for a few days.”

“They believe that more and more people will come here in the next couple of days,” he added.

I understood. Then I told them to take a rest before appearing inside the Gregor Mansion.

The fall of Sand Fall City had caused shock waves. The whole city was destroyed and buried in the sand dunes. The communication network was cut off.

Only the survivors and wandering wizards were sharing the news to others. The news quickly reached other nearby towns and cities.

Though the sand region is a remote area, it’s an area filled with resources. It’s a paradise for wizards related to earth type magic.

People wanted to investigate. But before that they needed to know who attacked the city.

They knew a Magic Lord Coleman was the City Lord of the City. He was protecting the city from the outsiders.
