Chapter 2698: Awaken the Noblesse III

When it comes to the topic of energy in Pandemonium, players do not have a very good understanding of it. Most of the general players only know it as mana. The more elite players know that mana has attributes hence they are cut above the rest. The top 1% of the players is different because they have mastered the use of mana and how to convert it to energy. Still, amidst all of these elite players are the ones in the 0.1% where they have perfect mastery of it due to talent, hard work, and intelligence.

Adrian could be said to be part of that top 0.1% that understands energy to a great degree. He knows the compatibility and harmony needed to balance each out but even he cannot go against the fundamental laws of nature. It already took him two days fusing both his nether and aether energy but he always failed.

Each failure made him experience excruciating pain as if his entire body is being twisted from the inside. He even had to stop himself because he almost died from the backlash. He knew that fusing both nether and aether energy is risky but he has done it before. The only problem is the fact that he can only fuse them temporarily.

As soon as Adrian fused them, the combined nether and aether energy would untangle one another. The two different energies would repel one another as if they are allergic to each other. Even though they can be fused perfectly, the two energies would naturally revert back to their pure states. Each time they revert back to their pure states, the immense pain would make Adrian kneel in pain so much that he gets his consciousness back to the mortal realm.

[Master, I advise you to rest as your body and soul are also taking damage with what you are attempting.]

Paradox warned Adrian that his soul is starting to get damage as well even though his body should be used to both nether and aether energy. The only reason why Adrian is not dead is due to the fact that he has fused the two energies a couple of times that his body has gained some tolerance to it. This is both a good and a bad thing as it means that he is actually strengthening and breaking his body down at the same time.

“You are practically an expert in energy manipulation as well, Paradox. Tell me, do you have an idea on how I can fuse nether and aether energy completely?” Adrian asked Paradox.

[Apologies, master. I have only done the conversion rate to sync up to 100%. Perfectly combining two energies of differing nature is unheard. There is a reason why even the God of Death Abaddon and the Goddess of Life Gaea had to rest when they fused together.]

Paradox gave a very direct reply as it also did the calculations in its own. The perfect harmony of nether and aether energy cannot be achieved as they long to be separated. They are two energies that are polar opposites of each other but Adrian cannot give up. He could convert nether into aether and vice versa which means that the chance of perfect fusion is not unheard of.

“I need to recall that sensation. The sensation of when I used that reality bending magic.” Adrian stated as even he will agree that spell is a one-time thing that arose due to his greed to kill the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong.

It was the first time he ever wanted to kill an immortal being to the point that he let his instincts guide him. He knew that he cannot kill the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong within normal means. He needed a new thing that could bend reality itself and all of his body screamed at him to do his spell. He controlled his body but he let the will of the Chaos Pierrot do what needs to be done. He let all of his instincts as the Chaos Pierrot drive him and it succeeded even though he only had little time in that transformation.

“Can we really not transform like that again?” Adrian asked.

[Doing so will deteriorate your body, master. It will not be in your best interest if you are injured when attempting something as life threatening as what you are doing now. Also, you were empowered by the residual divine energy of the Primordial Divine Beast Sun Wukong and the dragon veins of the eastern continent.]

Paradox told Adrian the straight truth to make sure that he knows what is feasible and what is not. The fact that the 100% fusion of nether and aether energy is not just the cause of that powerful transformation. A power that could bend reality and even the power to kill what is unkillable. It is something that even the gods will condemn if they could see what Adrian did.

“Can we attempt it again if I have the right conditions?” Adrian asked.

[It is feasible, master. Still, I advise you to rest for at least a week because your body as of now is not yet fully recovered. You only have 90% of your current power available to you as of the moment. It is already very brave of the master to even attempt ascension despite your injuries.]

“A week… I think I can wait a week. Is that fine, inner demon?” Adrian asked his Noblesse Inner Demon.

“There is no timeline to ascension. There is a timing for everything after all. You should know this well because demons are the ones that rule over time itself.” The Noblesse Inner Demon stated as it then manifested itself beside him and smiled.

“Maybe I can ask the elders if they have an idea. Asking Old Man Pann should be a good thing. He is a Noblesse after all.” Adrian stated when a powerful rumble affected even the guild house which is a pocket dimension.

“What was that?!” Adrian shouted as he arrived at the guild hall where the other guild members also gathered.

The guild members thought that they were in a predicament as the guild house is in another dimension. They should not have been affected by earthquakes or any natural disasters. Some were even resting in their own pocket dimension homes which meant that it also traversed at least two dimensions.

“Did you create a powerful bomb again?” Some of the guild members asked Brew as his potions or any alchemical activities often create loud explosions.

“No way! No bomb could shake the guild house. If I created it then it might have been loud but our guild house is basically shake proof from bombs.” Brew retorted.

“He is correct. This guild house is also maintained by the Tree of Life and Death. It should have strong foundations. What do you think it is? You are the one that created the guild house after all.” Levin Cloud stated as he looked towards Adrian.

“I think… UWAAHK!” Adrian was about to say something when he suddenly felt his chest tightening and he suddenly spat out blood.

As soon as Adrian spat out blood, all of the guild members that could heal rushed towards him. Accompanied by their haste is the loud sound of glass breaking. The sound was not just heard by one individual but multiple. The sound of glass cracking is heard by all of the people that live in the mortal realm because the divine barrier has been shattered.

[The Divine World Barrier that protects the northern continent from the threats of godly entities has been destroyed.]

It was not just Adrian that coughed up blood because all Daemos were affected by the backlash. It spared no age as even the children got affected. Fortunately for the children, they only felt sick as it was the older ones that took the heavy burden. The burden is even more on the Arch Demons as they carry most of the weight when it comes to the world barrier.

“Whoever did this made sure to not touch the world barrier fully! They only made sure to destroy the divine restrictions on the world barrier around the northern continent.” Adrian stated as he looked at the world message.

“What! Who would destroy the world barrier?! That is the barrier that protects us from the invasion of foreign gods!” Levin Cloud stated.

“The world barrier is not just a barrier that protects us from foreign gods. They were meant to separate the gods from the mortal plane! Not all gods care to advance the world because some are Conqueror Gods! The Daemos would need to head to the northern continent immediately to restore the broken world barrier function.” Adrian stated as he stood up and calmed himself.

“I think it is already too late.” Levin Cloud stated as he pulled up a video coming from the norther continent where a large golden kingdom appeared from a large crack in the sky. This large golden kingdom is none other than the divine realm of Asgard.
