Chapter 2699: Asgard Descends

As soon as the Beast of Ogdoad awakened, it managed to fool the will of the world by twisting its existence. A power that can only be awakened when all Primordial Beasts of Sin have fused. The power called the Law of Lies. It can twist anything that has law as long as it has enough power to do so. Still, twisting the law to make it become undetectable drained much of its own existence power.

The Beast of Ogdoad is not like other beings as it is a monster that is paramount to an existence itself. It is not bound by the laws of the universe easily as it can ignore them if it has enough power. Even though it did not gain the Essence Boundary that could have skyrocketed it to peak High God Tier, it is still at the level of the Peak Greater God Tier when it awakened. It also broke the restrictions to Low High God Tier when it destroyed the divine world barrier.

“I have utilized my own power to do our contract, trickster.” The Beast of Ogdoad stated as this is the oath that they have done.

“You have done well, beast.” The God Loki stated as he arrived along with the other gods that remained in Asgard.

“With this, our deal is over. I shall now begin the destruction of the world as I have promised.” The Beast of Ogdoad stated but ravens suddenly swirled around it.

The ravens were not the only thing but chains suddenly appeared below the Beast of Ogdoad and bound its body. The Beast of Ogdoad roared as it looked towards the gods that are now before it. The Beast of Ogdoad could not believe that it was tricked and that someone was willing to break an oath.

“TRICKSTER!” The Beast of Ogdoad shouted as it struggled to take off the chains that bound its body.

“What are you looking at me for? I promised that I would not do anything against you and I am not doing anything. If only you did not look down upon me when you were the Primordial Beast of Pride then you might have seen the trap that you have fallen into. Do not worry because we will not kill you as you will be a very valuable pawn to our conquest.” The God Loki stated as he carried this smug look in his face.

“You should not speak too much, brother. It is Father that is enslaving that thing after all.” The God Thor stated as the God Odin is the one capturing the Beast of Ogdoad.

The ravens swirled around the Beast of Ogdoad and more and more chains have stuck to it. The God Loki then remembered a very horrifying memory of its child being shackled the same way. The Beast of Ogdoad could not even offer any resistance because the God Odin is currently a league above it.

The God Odin is now at the High God tier which is more powerful than the current Beast of Ogdoad. The Beast of Ogdoad was a High God Tier when it awakened but it dropped down to Greater God Tier in order to carry out the oath it had with the God Loki. The destruction of the divine world barrier is not something one god or even a Beast of Calamity could after all. The Beast of Ogdoad had to sacrifice a lot of its existence in order to create a disturbance like that.

“It all worked out in our favor because of me though. I am the one that put everything into place which made it the most perfect outcome for us.” The God Loki stated.

“DO YOU THINK THAT WE WILL BE CHAINED?!” The Beast of Ogdoad shouted as it released its overwhelming power to resist the restraint being placed upon it.

“SETTLE DOWN BEAST!” The God Odin stated as his power suddenly skyrocketed to the Peak High God tier for a moment.

A large raven suddenly swallowed the Beast of Ogdoad in its entirety and made it bend to the will of the Asgardian Gods. When the large raven vanished, the Beast of Ogdoad could be seen having a chained collar. The God Loki could not believe how similar it is to what happened to his son but he made sure not to show any emotion. He simply waited his time to come as he planned something very special after all.

The God Thor looked towards the God Loki to check if he would do something but it seems that the trickster god does not care as long as it is not his blood. The Beast of Ogdoad suddenly found itself bowing down to the presence of the God Odin. The mere presence of the God Odin made it weak and cower as it has been totally bound by the Runes of Absolute Subservience.

“Is that it? It did not even put up much of a fight. Boring.” The God Loki stated.

“You speak as it binding it is easy brother. Father had to use half of the strength that he accumulated from his sleep to even bound it.” The God Thor stated.

“So, are we going to conquer the nearest kingdom now?” The God Loki stated but a powerful force suddenly erupted from the ground.

[GODS THAT DARE TO TRESPASS BY USING HERETICAL POWER! RETURN TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES!]

A voice from the world itself shouted at the Asgardian Gods but all of them did not falter. They already knew what would come to them once they invaded after all. This incursion is not properly planned and is throwing the balance of the world which makes it dangerous not just in the northern continent but all continents.

“A mere wisp of the World’s Will dare to warn a High God! This is where Asgard shall be and will forever be!” The God Odin shouted as he implanted his divine energy onto the ground.

[The God Odin has declared land in the northern continent as part of Asgard.]

[The Divine Realm of Asgard has manifested into the mortal realm.]

[Due to the sudden incursion of a divine realm, the world barrier is continuously deteriorating.]

[You have one year before half of the world barrier falls and its function that shields the world from foreign gods will vanish.]

[The God Odin has incurred the World’s Wrath.]

[The Asgardian Gods will now be restricted by the world for daring to destroy the world barrier.]

A powerful aurora suddenly appeared above the skies of Asgard. The God Odin could not even disperse it despite his great powers. This is the retaliation that the will of the world has done in order to preserve balance. A barrier that could at least buy time for all the beings of the world to unite and drive away the invading gods.

[Asgardian Gods that pass through the territory of the divine realm shall be weakened.]

“Father! What is happening?!” The God Thor asked as he is left stunned on a barrier suddenly appearing to restrict them.

“This is why you should use brains sometimes and not just muscle. The world itself is restricting us instead of patching up that hole that the Beast of Ogdoad has created. It knows that it cannot make us return but it can prevent us from freely moving.

If my guess is correct, if we step out of the divine realm then our power would be diminished. Lesser Gods would become demigods, Greater gods would be lesser gods, and High Gods would become Greater Gods. I did not expect that the world itself has this ability but it seems it could do this due to our sudden interference.” The God Loki stated as he looked towards the God Odin.

“How could a world do this!? It should not have this kind of power.” The God Thor stated as even their original world was not like this.

“This world is special after all. Why do you think it can accept foreign gods when other worlds are unable to do so? This world is more special than the one that originally came from. It is also the reason why Odin wants to conquer it all the more. With the Twin Gods unable to intervene, we could basically convert every mortal to our believers.” The God Loki stated.

“Enough talk, Loki. Find a way to break the limitation placed upon us.” The God Odin stated.

“You should stay cold, Odin. The world itself cannot limit us entirely because its sanction is that our divine realm. It means if we expand our divine realm then naturally… our area of action would be expanded as well. That is just one way to overturn the territory issue. Another would be to utilize that the Beast of Ogdoad.” The God Loki stated.

“You wish to have the Beast of Ogdoad to use its power of Law of Lies to destroy the restriction.” The God Odin stated.
