Chapter 2702: Odin’s Divine Decree

“Face the judgement of the All Father!” The God Odin’s voice echoed throughout the halls of Asgard as he made the entire kingdom become a catalyst for his spell.

The entirety of Asgard became a large magic medium that amplified the power of the God Odin. Thousands of magic circles suddenly appeared around Asgard and released the fury of the All Father. Spears made of light came out of the magic circles which bore the power of the God Odin. All of the Valkyries had to retreat as they cannot deal with such an assault like that.

“We need to retreat as we cannot destroy the barrier for now. We have no way of defeating them at this state. We need the aide of the Frozen People in order to contend with them.” Frey stated as she retreated along with Brunhild.

“Did you think that I will let you escape!?” The God of Thunder Thor shouted as he charged towards Frey and Brunhild with Mjolnir covered with lightning.

“You should always check your back, thunder god.” Frey stated as her spear returned back to its owner and it is in the path of the God of Thunder Thor.

The God of Thunder Thor wanted to just take the hit but he noticed the dangerous divine energy mixed into the spear. It is the divine energy of the Goddess Freyja which even the God Odin fears. The God of Thunder Thor had to twist his body and hit the spear that is about to clash with him. He wasted the fully powered attack to defend his body but the Valkyries vanished from the area near Asgard as a result.

“I should at least take that dangerous spear!” The God of Thunder Thor stated as he managed to crack the spear when he defended himself but the spear was not on the ground.

“Impossible! Where did it go?! Valkyries!” The God of Thunder Thor shouted as his divine energy exploded due to his embarrassment of not even killing one of the Valkyries.

“Return to the castle for now, my son. I will now make a divine decree!” The God Odin stated which made the God of Thunder Thor flinch.

“Are you sure about the divine decree, father? It will make you sleep for at least a week. You know that we cannot fully trust Loki even if he seems to be very submissive right now.” The God of Thunder Thor stated.

“Do not worry, my child. Loki cannot hurt us and the Beast of Ogdoad will never be able to break my Chains of Subjugation. He will never be able to scheme something with the Beast of Ogdoad when I already placed an Absolute Command in it should Loki use it against us.” The God Odin stated with confidence but even he is not sure of the future now.

The God Odin has the ability of foresight which means he can have glimpses of the future. This ability blossomed when he assimilated Asgard as his divine realm. The only problem is that his Gift of Foresight no longer works or rather no longer gives him visions as soon as he arrived in the mortal realm. This can only mean that the future in the mortal realm is chaotic and unpredictable.

“It also means that we can shape it however we want. The Ancient Jotunn are all cursed to sleep which means they cannot interfere with our plans anymore. I will be able to conquer the world and bring every being under my heel. Even the gods will bow before me once I have conquered everything.” The God Odin thought.

“Father, are you sure about the divine decree?” The God of Thunder Thor asked once more as using it will create a lot of fighting power for the Asgardians but it will also weaken them for a moment as the God Odin will fall into slumber for a few days.

Even the musclehead knows as the God of Thunder Thor knew what implications of having their strongest god sleep. Their invasion of the mortal realm is abrupt but that does not mean the gods that wanted order will not try to stop them. This is not just war with the inhabitants of the mortal realm but also the start of another War of Gods.

“Do not worry, my child. We are not the only gods that will descend. I have already asked the aid of other gods for our cause and they should be able to find the way to the crack.” The God Odin stated.

“Father! You even asked the help of other gods! Are you sure this is the correct path?” The God of Thunder Thor asked as he did not expect that other gods will be thrown into the mix.

“Do you question your father, boy?!” The God Odin stated which pressured the God of Thunder Thor.

“No, father. Your words are absolute.” The God of Thunder Thor replied as he knew that no one can make his father change his mind.

“I SHALL NOW MAKE THE DECREE!” The God Odin shouted as his entire body burst with divine energy and even the entirety of Asgard amplified his divinity.

“HEAR ME, WARRIORS OF THIS WORLD! IT IS I, THE ALL FATHER, CALLING UPON YOU TO JOIN MY CAUSE!” The God Odin’s words suddenly echoed all throughout the world as he exhausted a lot of divine energy to make his decree.

[The God King of Asgard, Odin, has created a Divine Decree.]

[You can now change your faction to that of Asgard.]

[Beings that change their faction to Asgard will lose all of their faith from other gods but they will be able to become Asgardians.]

[The Asgardian race is a race with the blood of gods in their bodies. In exchange for having all of the divine blessings from other gods and only being loyal to the God King Odin, the players will gain benefits based on their level.]

The world message suddenly bombarded all of the players as they did not know how this kind of thing happened. All they know is that gods have descended unto the world but they did not think that factions could be the result. The players are bewildered because blessings of gods and goddesses are precious but they were also tempted.

“If they have the blood of gods then does that mean we become demigods?!”

A question in the forums ignited the entire player base because they would gain a shortcut to power if they change factions. Players were discussing on the best course of action but some of them have already started to switch sides. The forums were heated on what is the best course of action but it seems some of the players have already started to stream Asgard.

Some players started to stream on their change of faction and what will happen when they become Asgardians. All of the players that changed their race suddenly felt a surge of power in their new bodies. All of them became Asgardians and lost all of the blessings from other gods that they built trust with. The balance of faith in the world suddenly started to shift as even players from other continents joined in the faction switch.

The players learned that changing their race to Asgardian does indeed make them demigods but only in the vicinity of Asgard. It seems they would need to unlock their latent divine power to truly become a demigod even outside of Asgard. As stated in the world message, they also lost all blessings from other gods which includes even equipment blessings.

The players that changed their race and faction lost some of their stats and precious equipment but they also gained something called the Asgard Force. A special stat that correlates with the power they can draw from their divine blood. It can manifest into elements or even special abilities depending on what the Asgardian player chooses. This is the power that offset the loss of blessings which somehow pacified the disappointed players.

[THE GODS OF PANDEMONIUM DECLARE WAR ONTO THE ASGARDIAN GODS.]

“Mortals that abandoned the balance of order. Know that we will no longer be idle because that conqueror has tilted this world to its destruction. Believers, destroy the Asgardian Gods in order to restore peace!”

Multiple voices of gods echoed in the ears of the believers as every being that has the blessing of the gods heard it. The voice of multiple gods that are angry could be heard but not all of the gods were making their moves. Some of the gods decided to stay silent and only offer some assistance while some decided to change sides and go to the Asgardian Gods.

“SO DELICIOUS! FINALLY, IT HAS STARTED! RAGNAROK HAS FINALLY BEGAN!” The God Loki stated with a manic smile as the Beast of Ogdoad is feasting on the flesh of a demigod beast.
