Chapter 2703: The Gods that Planned

As soon as the world divine barrier appeared with a crack, the gods that sensed it already became alert. The destruction of the world divine barrier is not something that can be simply done without years of preparation. It is something that needs to be deliberately planned to even attempt at succeeding became the demons will never allow it.

The gods at that very instant started to rage because this is something that could shatter the world. The Twin Gods being absent meant that the stability of the other gods will also falter. The Twin Gods acted not just as the leaders of the gods but also the wardens for those that planned to conquer the world.

The gods of Pandemonium are not always in harmony for they have planned ways to circumvent the current laws in place. The gods always wanted to become higher than the others and the only way to do that is to have the world be united in faith. Some of the gods that openly dared to do it before were left alone by the Twin Gods at first because they were dealing with threats from the outside.

The only reason that the Twin Gods allowed the Goddess of Light Luminaria to be haughty back then is due to the fact that they know that she will never succeed. She may have risen to the tier of High Goddess but her faith was rooted in deception. The Twin Gods were also keeping careful watch of her back then to make sure that she will never achieve a powerful status that could match them.

In response to the issues with the gods, the Twin Gods chose a champion that they could command to deal with those that create problems for the world. In the end, the goddess that wanted to conquer the world fell to the blade of the Champion of the Twin Gods. This made the other gods that wished for conquest to become silent as they feared that they might be the next target of the Champion of the Twin Gods.

The existence of the Champion of the Twin Gods was enough for the gods to covertly proceed with their plans to make sure that the Twin Gods will not know what they are planning. The problem is that the plans that those gods have found to be the most effective is to destroy part of the world divine barrier and permanently manifest their divine realm in the mortal world.

The ones that led this plan is none other than the Asgardian Gods with the God King Odin at the helm. They were not the only ones that planned for this though as other gods from other factions have joined in their mission. If it were just the Asgardian gods moving alone then it would have taken them at least five more decades to see it come true but the support of other gods became pivotal.

The Asgardian Gods controlled the north with their followers being planted in different tribes and cities. The southern continental gods also aided them from a faction called the Asuras. The knowledge of the gods descending is already present in the southern continent and they prepared everything for the grand plan to work. Lastly, there are also gods in the central continent that helped as they also wanted to regain control of the mortal realm.

These three factions made a deal to weaken the world divine barrier through any means necessary even if they needed to make use of other beings. The ones that proposed to use the Beasts of Calamity is none other than the God Loki as they are beings that can defy the laws of the world itself. The only problem back then is that the Beasts of Calamity are sealed in different forms with them not knowing much.

Fortunately for them, the gods managed to secure ancient texts about the Beasts of Calamity from the southern continent. The learned of the true nature of the Primordial Beasts of Sin and how they were once the Beast of Ogdoad. The three different factions of gods agreed to make use of the easiest way to bring down the world divine barrier. They all planned to have the world become what it once was and have the sleeping primordial beasts awaken.

In order to make this happen, the three different factions of gods made use of the fact that the Goddess Luminaria wanted to conquer the world. They needed to set the stage for a powerful goddess to weaken the world divine barrier herself. If they did it then they would suffer immense backlash which is why they needed an over arrogant and self-entitled goddess to do this work for them.

Fortunately for the three different factions of gods, the Goddess Luminaria was easy to fool and had no true allies by her side as she is a tyrant even amongst the gods of light. The God Loki did not even have much of a challenge in manipulating everything behind the scenes. The only variable that even the God Loki did not expect is that the Goddess Luminaria joining hands with the distorted gods.

Despite the sudden variables increasing in the plan, the God Loki managed to weave everything as perfectly as possible. The only thing that even the God Loki and the three different factions of gods did not expect is that the Champion of the Twin Gods to be charismatic and powerful as he is. They would have already accomplished their goal easily if the Goddess Luminaria at least conquered the central continent but that did not come to fruition.

Fortunately for the three different factions of gods, the world divine barrier may not have severely weakened but it became weak enough for the next phase of their plan. They managed to weaken world divine barrier and strengthen the world itself at the same time. The world evolving became the true first step of the plan because they needed the Primordial Beasts of Sin to awaken.

Once the Primordial Beasts of Sin awakened, the plan of the three different factions of gods suddenly needed to become faster. The Primordial Beasts of Sin must return back to their former power and start devouring each other. The God Loki’s plan is to have the Primordial Beasts of Sin to start tearing each other apart while leaving destruction of the continents in the process.

The rampaging Primordial Beasts of Sin would be the perfect way to gather the faith of the people. When fear and despair cover the land, the arrival of divine blessings and protectors led by the gods would ignite the spark of hope to the mortals. This would have given more strength to the three different factions of gods as they would be the ones pioneering in the salvation of mortals but even that did not come true.

The existence of the Blessed Ones or players made it difficult for the three different factions of gods to orchestrate the destruction of continents. An army of beings that truly never die managed to rally and defeat the Primordial Beasts of Sin in their respective areas. Everything would have been perfect if the players did not exist as they once again became a major blocker to the three different factions of gods.

Seeing the fall of the Primordial Beasts of Sin one at a time, the God Loki proposed another way and that is to use these Blessed Ones themselves. The God Loki weaved another variable into their plan and did not expect the outcome to be better than expected. These Blessed Ones were perfect errand toys for the gods as long as you promised them strength or blessings.

The addition of players into the plans of the three different factions of gods arrived at the conclusion of where it is now. The last remaining Primordial Beast of Sin being the Beast of Pride and it devouring the essence of the other sins. The appearance of the Beast of Calamity called the Beast of Ogdoad finally happened. The destruction of the world divine barrier across the specific area of the northern continent where Asgard will descend.

The plans laid out by the three different factions of gods that allied with each other finally bore fruit. The only problem they have now is to maintain the current status or else risk having to be locked in their own divine realms. The Asgardian Gods became the frontrunners in this plan but they did not expect the world itself to intervene. This resulted in another deviation of the last stages of their plan but they already began to adapt.

“Become powerful, our dear pet. You will be the key to everything that will happen from now on. I made sure to set the stage perfectly in order to make this happen.” The God Loki stated as the Beast of Ogdoad has feasted on the last demigod beast available in the northern continent. The Beast of Ogdoad could be seen to have slightly been tamed by the God Loki himself which means that something unexpected is about to happen.
