Chapter 2704: The Godly Faction War

[The Godly Faction War has now started.]

[Pandemonium will now enter a one-day update period in real time.]

[All players are advised to save all of their efforts. Those that are inside the dungeons will have their progressed saved and can continue upon logging back in.]

After all of the world messages that appeared, the system announcement of the game entering a patch period has once again surfaced. It has been a long time since this happened which means that a new era is once again surfacing to Pandemonium. All of the players were logged out but all of them were still lurking in the forums of the game.

Game Host: What do you think will happen moving forward? It seems that the game has started to create factions.

Jade Quill Guild Leader: I believe that this update is a huge thing for Pandemonium as it seems that the gods themselves are now involved.

Frost Guard Guild Leader: I also agree with this because Asgard itself has appeared in the northern continent. A lot of players even switched to their faction just because of having the special godly bloodline.

Desert Eagle Guild Leader: I believe that those that changed faction would one day regret it. They basically abandoned their roots just to join a newly emerged godly faction.

Game Host: One could not resist the temptation of becoming a demigod Desert Eagle Guild Leader. Not everyone is like you that has been chosen as an Avatar of a god.

Frost Guard Guild Leader: I agree with the host’s statement as Pandemonium always gave us the freedom to choose. If it did not then there would not have been players that would be on the side of the dark gods.

Jade Quill Guild Leader: You just want to justify that the choice of having your entire guild becoming part of the Asgardian Faction is a good choice. I believe that you have chosen quite hastily as there is still no news about the real benefits and downsides.

Frost Guard Guild Leader: The benefits are that all of us now have the blood of gods flowing in our veins and that we can be classified as a demigod. We now have what you call divine power but there is also a caveat to that as well. Still, for us… the benefits outweigh the cons.

Desert Eagle Guild Leader: You say that but the fact that you are at the mercy of the God King Odin is a big con for me. You do not have much freedom despite the fact that you have become demigods as you say you were. Also, the status of a demigod is not achieved just because you have attained the blood of a god.

Game Host: The Desert Eagle Guild Leader is correct as there are beings in Pandemonium that could be said to be children or have the blood of gods but they are never classified as demigods. It seems that the status of a demigod is vastly different from just having the blood of gods.

Jade Quill Guild Leader: The host is correct because a demigod in the eastern continent is called an Ascendant Immortal. It means that they have already stepped foot in the realm where they are more than mortals but less than gods. I believe the western continent has another definition.

Desert Eagle Guild Leader: That is true because demigods in the western continent are those that have slightly transcended the bounds of the mortal body. They are living gods as we call them which is vastly different from those that have the blood of gods running in their veins.

Game Host: Does the Frost Guard Guild Leader have anything to add?

Frost Guard Guild Leader: I believe that having the blood of gods in one’s body makes it easy to become a demigod. I mean… the God of Thunder Thor was once a demigod but he ascended to become a god. I believe different races have different ways to describe a demigod.

“Hmm. The guild leader from the eastern continent and the western continent seems to have an idea about persona. I guess those that are closer to beings that strive for perfection should be aware of what the game calls the Persona. Maybe the game developers are about to reveal the truth about Persona because of the rumors circulating around.” Adrian stated as he listened to the podcast to fish if there are any leaks about Pandemonium.

Adrian already knew that one does not become a demigod in Pandemonium just because they have the blood of a god. If that were the case then Elder Koronn would have already been a Noblesse by now. Having the blood of a god does give one benefits as they say like boosted attribute damage depending on the inheritance but it will never automatically label you as a demigod.

“It could be that those that read that they will become Asgardians with the blood of gods are now rubbing their heads. Demigod level beings can be called a status symbol because it cannot be achieved easily. The stronger the race then the more difficult the process is but there are players that have attained it.” Adrian muttered as he also read another article.

It seems that the topic of the blood of gods in one’s body made the community abuzz regarding gods and demigods. One of the articles that he has read is about Hou Yiwei and other players that have attained the demigod status. It seems that he is not the first player that wanted to become a demigod but he did not seem down.

Instead, Adrian is curious on the players that have attained such a difficult status. It is not something that could be done without time and effort. Even talent could be said as a criterion for this Persona rank up. In fact, even Adrian’s friends are all eligible to become demigod level beings which is why the guild is currently very fragmented at the moment. Everyone is busy trying to break to the demigod Persona rank.

“Huh? Hou Yiwei sacrificed his dragon blood to become a new race and with that he rose to become a demigod? I remember that he was exploring the southern continent but does the southern continent hold clues on becoming a demigod?” Adrian thought to himself.

Adrian thought of going to the southern continent but he chose not to. He cannot do long distance teleportation when the world divine barrier is currently broken. He needed to check with the Daemos Elders once the game is back. He also needs to check the status in the northern continent as Frey told him that it is chaotic up there.

“There is also an issue with the gods.” Adrian stated as the gods of life and death practically became restless when the Asgardian gods descended.

The gods of life and death were usually quiet but they bombarded Adrian and Levin Cloud with questions as soon as the Asgardian Gods brought Asgard to the mortal realm. The fact that even the gods of life and death were caught off guard is alarming. They are usually on top of everything and have eye and ears everywhere but it seems they were blindsided.

Adrian thought that there might be a spy or a god that betrayed them but that could not be so. If a god of life or god of death did aid the Asgardian Gods then they would have broken the covenant with the Twin Gods. If they did so then they would be stripped of all their divine power and be dragged to Tartarus.

[New Video Promotion for Pandemonium has been uploaded.]

A notification suddenly popped up on Adrian’s holowatch. It was none other than the promotional video of the upcoming patch notes. The video already got lots of likes and comments despite it only being uploaded a few seconds ago. It seems that the players were spamming the comment section due to their excitement.

[Godly Faction War]

The video is titled Godly Faction War which made Adrian’s heart excited but his brain tighten due to the massive headache he will experience in the game. The video started out with three different gods talking with each other. The faces of the gods are not shown but they did have silhouettes.

One of the gods had an eyepatch on their face, the second one has tree branches adorning his shoulder and head, and the last one had multiple arms. All three gods were plotting something and their shadows suddenly became entangled with one another to form a beast that looks grotesque. This beast then released a powerful burst of light that shattered a barrier and then Asgard descended from the ground.

The video basically ended with the two sentences that are a bit vague but the players already somewhat gotten the context. The gods have started to descend and the fight for the world has started.
