Chapter 2705: The Godly Faction War II

The teaser for the upcoming patch made the player base go feral as this is not just a normal event. The gods of Pandemonium have started to take action against other gods of Pandemonium. This is not a battle between the gods of Pandemonium and the dark gods but infighting between themselves. This is something that they did not expect as the players thought that the gods of Pandemonium are usually at peace.

The first teaser already dropped and numerous theories of who the three gods that were presented in the video. They already knew that one of them is the God King Odin but they did not know who the other two were. Some had lots of speculations but they noticed that the third god had numerous arms and this was a common motif for gods in the southern continent.

The fact that a god from the southern continent is teased meant that the quiet continent in the south has started to yearn for conquest as well. The southern continent has only recently become open to all the players when a sea route was found. The sea route was cleared by Hou Yiwei which granted access to the southern continent via ships.

The players speculated that this event would not have happened if the southern continent was still unexplored till this day. Numerous speculations started to happen online but all of the players were curious on what ’The Demon’ is about to do. The player with the most attention has yet to reveal which side he is on which made all of them speculate that Equinox might just turn out to be an observer for this upcoming war.

While the players were speculating on what Equinox would do, Adrian himself is currently in his house tending to the strawberry garden that he planted himself. One of the ways of his rehabilitation is to do an activity that is close to nature. Since he is going to tend to something related to nature, Adrian figured that he should also harvest something to ear in the process.

“Hmm… hmmm! There are already flowers! I can almost taste my own success.” Adrian muttered as he finds growing something therapeutic and helps his mind relax or keep it off some things.

“If you really find that healing, my child… maybe some light sparring would do you some good.” Adrian’s mother suddenly muttered as she sipped her tea.

“I am still forbidden from strenuous activities, mom. The doctor’s orders must always come first after all.” Adrian stated as he then quickly finished tending to his plants and then zipped towards his room as another teaser suddenly dropped.

[Beasts of Calamity]

The video starts with numerous beasts of different sizes and frames. Some are quadruped, some are bipedal, while some do not even have legs as they float in the air. Each of these beasts emitted powerful auras that when released destroyed planets, moons, and even stars. They are called the Beasts of Calamity.

Powerful beasts that are outside of the control of even the gods as they are said to be heralds of destruction. They were born from the destruction of a planet that was filled with life. It was also explicitly shown that the Beasts of Calamity can be born from Primordial Beasts that have evolved to destroy everything instead of following the natural order.

There were numerous shadows of beings called the Beasts of Calamity but there were two that had been shown already. One is the calamity known as the Dragon of Revelation which players already seen. The next one was none other than the Beast of Ogdoad which the players have never seen before but the silhouette was similar to the monster that destroyed the world divine barrier.

All of the players immediately pieced together what the second teaser is telling them. The one that destroyed the world divine barrier was none other than the second beast that appeared after the Dragon of Revelation. It also signified that there are powerful monsters that are present that even the world itself cannot detect. There was no world message about the Beast of Ogdoad despite being the one that destroyed the world divine barrier.

“The Beast of Ogdoad. How could it have been formed when the other Primordial Beasts of Sin were killed off.” Adrian stated as he remembered reading about the Beast of Ogdoad and its history.

The developers of the game would never blatantly spread misinformation about the being that destroyed the world divine barrier. The Beast of Ogdoad is the one that destroyed the world divine barrier but it must have been the Asgardian Gods that orchestrated it to do so. The only problem that Adrian thinks now is the fact that the Asgardian gods might have control over the Beast of Ogdoad.

“If they have managed to capture a Beast of Calamity then it would mean that they have enough power to conquer the world should their territory expand and the God King Odin recovers his strength. Also, the fact that the Beast of Ogdoad is not being used to attack all of the northern continent right now would mean that it might be weakened or some of its power is sealed due to the fact that it destroyed the world divine barrier.” Adrian muttered as he began to say what he thinks to the guild chat as the guild members were giving ideas.

The fact that Adrian managed to deduce things this clearly meant that he has already gotten used to dealings with divine beings or those of the same power scaling. Even the other guild members agreed with what he said as the Asgardian Gods would have already started their conquest if they had the Beast of Ogdoad at their side in full power. The very reason that it is still quiet would mean that his deduction is the most plausible.

“Everyone, finish all of your priority quest immediately. We need to be ready to send reinforcements to the north.” Adrian announced via their guild chat.
