Chapter 2708: The Demons’ Ultimatum II

“Did you think that I am afraid of demons?! I have slain some of your kind when I was in my younger years!” The God King Odin stated as he activated the grand magic embedded in the barrier of Asgard.

“As expected of gods that have been comfy and never threatened. They always bark the loudest.” Elder Ascalor stated as the grand magic of the Asgardian barrier finally activated.

Numerous spears of light suddenly launched themselves towards Adrian and the elders. The elders were not surprised because they already expected this when they were rejected. Elder Ascalor merely shrugged as he created a rift in front of them and all of the magical spears entered it. He then proceeded to create another rift on top of the previous one and all of the magical spears returned back to directly hit the Asgardian barrier.

“It seems that their barrier is tougher than I thought. Let me stretch a bit to check if it is really sturdy.” Elder Bronx stated as he suddenly vanished from his current location.

Elder Bronx then appeared a hundred meters up in the sky and slammed down towards the Asgardian barrier. Some of the magical spears shot towards him but Elder Ascalor easily absorbed all of it to miniature rifts that he created. The two elders made sure to work together as if they always fought together in the same battlefield.

“Gigaton Crash!” Elder Bronx stated as he slammed his entire body onto the Asgardian barrier.

The power of the slam was incredible but there were no signs of the barrier even breaking. The entirety of Asgard did feel the tremor though which meant that it is powerful enough to destroy the kingdom itself if there was no barrier. Elder Bronx was about to try another attempt when urgent news was transmitted by Elder Koronn.

“That will be our greeting for now, Bronx. You have been warned, Asgardian King. If you wish to overturn your decision then you know where to find us.” Elder Ascalr stated as he created a portal where all of them entered to return back to Avalon.

“Are you retreating, demons?! Come out and face me?!” The God of Thunder Thor stated but even he was actually advised by his own father to not wander outside of the barrier.

The God King Odin knew that even his own son will not be able to survive the wrath of demons that could send him to the farthest-reaching corners of the universe. The God King Odin did not expect that the demons that came before him were no longer Arch Demons as said in the reports. The demons that came before him were two Noblesse demons that is said to be at the pinnacle of demonkind.

“Why did you stop me, father?!” The God of Thunder Thor stated.

“If I did not then you would have been killed in a pathetic manner, my son. Those were Noblesse demons. They would easily kill you if you went out of the barrier as my reach would not be able to help you if you get caught. The other gods were also sent away to retrieve relics of their presence in this mortal realm which is why you need to be steady for the moment.” The God King Odin stated.

Just as the God King Odin stated, the other Asgardian Gods have been sent away to find the relics that could help them unlock their strength even outside the influence of Asgard itself. With the holy relics, the gods that degrade to demigods can unlock their real power even outside of the barrier even if it is only for a limited time. The God King Odin is also quite wary of the demons as they are now more powerful than before.

“Still, I could carry myself in battle, father. With Mjolnir by my side, even demons will be unable to affect space around me.” The God King Thor stated but that is only the case for an Arch Demon.

The God King Odin could feel it when he saw the two elders that came with Adrian. The God King Odin has battled a demon of Elder Ascalor’s caliber back then and he knew the destruction that a being like that could cause. They called a demon that could easily bend space to their will as Riftos. A being that is said to twist space itself for their own enjoyment and it even took dozens of powerful gods to even stop one.

“It is not just their ability to warp space that is fearsome, my child. Did you not see the power of that larger demon when he slammed into our barrier?” The God King Odin stated as quite a bit of his divine power was used to reinforce the barrier.

“He did not even crack the barrier that covered the kingdom. What is there to be concerned about?” The God of Thunder Thor stated.

“It seems that you are still a bit naïve if you think that thing was weak. The entire kingdom trembled because of his slam and he was not even that serious when it happened. I can at least guarantee that I can defend against his attacks if I am here but that would make me trapped in this place. Also, they were only here as a warning and not to trample over us. They will surely come back to close the rift above us as that is their duty.” The God King Odin stated.

“Apologies, father. It seems that I have not fully measured their capability. I am ashamed to admit that I am lacking.” The God of Thunder Thor stated.

“No worries, my child. This will be the last time that they will humiliate us because I shall kill them once they come back. I also prepared several things to have those demons out of sights for the time being.” The God King Odin stated as his entire body emitted a powerful killing intent that he held back when the demons were flying above them.
