Chapter 2719: The Asgardian Gods March I

The attack on Avalon is what the Asgardian Gods needed to proceed their march towards the areas in the northern continent. With the demons busy, the army or rather the gods of Asgard started their assault in small towns and villages in the north. They conquered and pillaged any that resisted but the people of the north have endured far worse.

“They should have just accepted defeat and bended the knee. Such a waste for proud warriors.” The God Tyr stated as his sword is taken out from the chest of Village Chief that has a wolf pelt hood.

“We tried to pursue them but it seems that they have already planned for escapes if their village is attacked. I can feel the magic of that ice witch in the passage that they used. It seems that she has already gotten the hearts of the other villages which is why they have an escape route towards her kingdom.” The Goddess Sif stated as she was the one that tracked the escaping villagers.

“No matter. We have already achieved what we needed. Place the sigil in this area as it is time to widen the influence of the barrier that is holding us.” The God Tyr stated as the soldiers of Asgard moved quickly.

The two gods leading this group is none other than the God of War Tyr and the Goddess of the Earth Sif. The two gods are currently working together in order to expand the influence of Asgard. They plan to connect these special sigils created by the God King Odin himself to expand the actual territory of Asgard.

The God of War Tyr looks like a large old man that has hair but is bald on top of his head. He is also seen to have only one left hand with the right hand being gone due to Fenrir devouring it. He sacrificed his right hand in order for the God King Odin to seal the powerful Fenrir using the Chains of Subjugation. The right hand was the sacrifice he made which made him be honored and respected by the Asgardian Gods.

The God of War Tyr carries himself like wizened old man with numerous battle experience. He is also dressed in full armor using the pelts of large beasts and Cold Asgardian Steel. His own armor is bulky enough to actually guard against even the divine weapon being wielded by the God of Thunder Thor himself. He also carries with him a large great sword that is the same height as his body and is also made with Cold Asgardian Steel.

The Goddess of Earth Sif is beautiful beyond measure but she is also a famed warrior in her own right. She is the wife of the God of Thunder Thor and has accompanied him in countless battlefields. This made their affection with one another grow and also strengthened their bond to something more than that of a married couple.

The Goddess of Earth Sif has golden hair that stretches up to her knees but she keeps it in braids when engaging in battle. She also carries a spear that has the power of the earth itself as it was forged from the hearts of countless earth elemental kings. She is famed for hunting down the earth elemental kings and using their parts for her armor and weapons.

A large stone slab with intricate markings could be seen slammed down onto the ground. The stone slab then proceeded to sink into the ground and then fuse with it. The runes of the stone slab suddenly lit up as the magic from within activated. A powerful burst of golden energy came out of the stone slab which created a zone where the weakened beings of Asgard regained their strength.

“Proceed to the coordinates specified a few hours ago. We must increase our area of influence by a kilometer and connect it to Asgard immediately. The survival of our race depends on how fast we can do this.” The God Tyr stated.

“What is wrong?” The God of War Tyr suddenly asked as he noticed that the Goddess of Earth Sif suddenly turned towards a direction.

“There is a rat hiding near us.” The Goddess of Earth Sif stated as she then proceeded to toss her spear towards the location that she sensed the presence of another being.

The spear that looked like it was made with polished marble struck the area and made a large explosion. The area that was struck could be seen to have exploded with nothing but debris scattering about. The Goddess of Earth Sif was not finished with the attack as she slammed her foot on the ground to create a powerful shockwave that is also directed at the area she threw her spear.

The Goddess of Earth Sif knew that there was a presence there and she was not wrong. The smoke from the debris suddenly parted as a fast winged horse came out of it. The pegasus could be seen carrying a Valkyrie in their escape. The Goddess of Earth Sif recalled her spear and it slowly emerged from the ground itself. She then proceeded to lock onto the escaping Valkyrie and threw her spear without any hesitation.

The spear flew at a great speed that eve the Valkyrie herself was unable to defend against it. The spear of the Goddess of Earth Sif was about to hit her and the pegasus that she is riding but the Valkyrie redirected the spear with what her ability can do. The spear that was supposed to hit her heart and the head of her pegasus has changed direction. The Valkyrie did not become completely safe though as she sacrificed her entire arm doing that action.

The right arm of the Valkyrie exploded from the sheer force of the deflected spear but it was enough to let them escape. The pegasus of the Valkyrie was worried for its partner but the mission must come first. They should escape and report what they have found out from the happenings of a newly conquered village. The pegasus even drew power from its own life force and it got coated in light before turning into something like a comet to escape the area.

“Tch! They got away. Hurry and track them!” The Goddess of Earth Sif shouted at the players that are under their wing.

“As you command!” The players answered as they chased after the fleeing Valkyrie.

“It is unlike you to actually miss your target.” The God of War Tyr stated.

“You should know that Valkyries are not an easy target. They are battle machines trained by our finest warriors and enchanted by Freyja herself. It is not an exaggeration to say that they are on the same level as us if it is purely from the perspective of combat ability.” The Goddess of Earth Sif replied.

“I agree with you there because I also taught them what I know. It is quite a shame that they are now enemies instead of allies. If only those foolish Vanir Gods did not abandone Asgard then they should also be basking in the glory that we have now.” The God of War Tyr stated.

The Goddess of Earth Sif was about to say something but she stayed quiet. In fact, the Goddess of Earth Sif is also a goddess of life but she is not under the wing of the Goddess of Life Gaea. She is the only goddess of life that is purely of the Aesir bloodline. She is also one of the reasons why Asgard did not fall immediately when the Vanir gods abandoned them.

The Goddess of Earth Sif knew that what the Vanir Gods did is justified as they care more for life. They did not want to partake in this operation as creating the large rift on the divine world barrier meant that mana from the divine realms will flood the world. They are lucky that the northern continent itself is not full of people or else all of the mortals would have died just by being exposed to divine energy.

The Goddess of Earth Sif stays quiet because she has already decided to be loyal to her husband. In fact, the Goddess of Life Freyja asked to come with her back then but she stayed as she is an Aesir. She has already chosen a side in this battle and she will kill the Goddess of Life Freyja if she keeps interfering with them.

“Send message to the God King Odin. Tell him that the Valkyries are starting to move and are now knowledgeable of our operations. Expect some attacks from the Valkyries as their way of communication is faster compared to us.” The God of War Tyr commanded a soldier holding the communication orb.

“You do not need to do so. He already knows of what happened. Look there!” The Goddess of Earth Sif stated as she pointed to a conspiracy which is a group of ravens.
