Chapter 2733: Not In Time

“Time Stop!” Adrian exclaimed as he appeared in the sanctum of the Great Star Gazer only to see the God of Mischief Loki about to decapitate her.

It was a split second but Adrian actually managed to stop time itself that also affected the god before him. It was just enough time to then use Force Magic to blast the God of Mischief Loki away. When time resumed, the God of Mischief Loki found himself hit by a powerful force that sent him flying. The God of Mischief Loki then noticed a demon carrying the Great Star Gazer in his arms.

“You are poisoned! I shall reverse time. Please bear with it.” Adrian stated as he cannot cleanse it even with the most potent antidote that he has.

“It is useless, demon. She has been poisoned by the venom of my own son. You will not be able to save her.” The God of Mischief Loki stated but he suddenly sensed killing intent from behind him.

“Aurora Spear!” Frey shouted as she suddenly appeared behind the God of Mischief Loki upon entering the sanctum.

“Mischief Fang!” The God of Mischief Loki stated as he released a technique that parried one of Frey’s most powerful attacks.

The clash between Frey and the God of Mischief Loki created a powerful shockwave that Adrian blocked using his mastery over force alone. The two instantly battled each other with Frey visibly angered. Frey considered the Great Star Gazer as a dear friend as they would often tell stories with one another. The fact that one of her friends is almost killed by one of the vile gods that she served before is a very heavy feeling for her.

Frey knew that Adrian will do everything in his ability to help the Great Star Gazer. This is the reason why she focused on battling the God of Mischief Loki. She knew that the being before her will escape if she does not give it her all. This is also the reason why she is already in her Goddess Descent form at her arrival. She used it immediately when she sensed that all of the guards have died.

“I cannot reverse the flow of time on you!” Adrian stated in shock as he can reverse time on any being as long as they are still alive and willing.

“I am a being that is frozen in time because my past, present, and future has already been bound. Urhh!” The Great Star Gazer stated as the poison has already crawled to all parts of her body but she still stood up.

“Do not exert yourself. We can still find an antidote. Maybe the Ice Queen can freeze you to stop the spread of the poison.” Adrian stated in panic as even he cannot accept what is happening now.

Adrian thought that he had no affection for the Great Star Gazer but he actually had some. The Great Star Gazer acted like a good elder sister for him and even gave him useful tips even at the cost of her life. If Adrian knew that the Great Star Gazer easily gave those tips because she already knew of her death, then he would have felt even more remorseful.

“I can no longer see the future, Champion Equinox or maybe Mediator Equinox now. There is only one reason why I can no longer see it.” The Great Star Gazer stated.

“You are dying.” Adrian muttered in defeat because it was one of the topics he asked about when he visited sometimes.

A powerful seer knows when she is about to die when she can no longer see visions of the future on that day or the day before it. It is a statement that all seers fear but they also accept as their power can twist causality after all. A small price to pay for the ability to see the future.

“I am but I will not go down without a fight. I should take that bastard down at the very least. The afterlife will be nice if he accompanied me there.” The Great Star Gazer stated as she grasped her starlight sword while having difficulty standing.

“If that is your wish then I shall help you.” Adrian stated as he helped the Great Star Gazer stand up.

“Thank you, Equinox. Fatetality!” The Great Star Gazer stated as she mustered all of her strength into her last attack.

The God of Mischief Loki and Frey could be seen exchanging blows but the latter is showing signs of fatigue. The God of Mischief Loki, on the other hand, did not show any exhaustion as he could clearly be seen toying around with Frey even if she is in her most powerful state. Just as the God of Mischief Loki is about to land a decisive hit on Frey, he suddenly spat out blood.

“What?!” The God of Mischief Loki muttered as invisible strings of energy cut his divine body and injured him.

The God of Mischief Loki did not sustain very heavy damage but it was enough to make him flinch and react. The sudden surge of pain assaulted the mind of the God of Mischief Loki and made him lose focus for a moment. This loss of focus made Frey land a very decisive hit that instantly turned the tide of battle. With a powerful swing of her spear, Frey managed to destroy one of the arms of the God of Mischief Loki.

“Arrgh!” The God of Mischief Loki shouted in pain as he crashed onto the ground.

“Kewk! I guess this is farewell. Apologies as I was unable to say goodbye to everyone.” The Great Star Gazer stated as her life ended while she endured excruciating pain from the poison that finally stopped her heart.

A notification appeared before Frey and she could not believe it. She screamed in rage as her divine energy actually resonated with her emotions. She summoned the power of the divine wolf Lupa to create numerous wolves made of starlight to bombard the God of Mischief Loki.
