Chapter 2742: Exploring the Void II

For the first time in all of Pandemonium’s gameplay, Adrian actually felt trapped which is very ironic for a demon since they can bend time and space. Adrian would have already found his way out if he could create a gate back to the mortal realm but it was incredibly difficult for him to bypass the dimensional barriers in the Void. The thing that irritates him the most is that he could not recreate the rift that the Void Lukos Arachnid created.

“Temporal magic is basically useless unless it is applied to oneself. Spatial magic is not stable which makes creating gates difficult. Force magic is incredibly useful but only for fights. Is this the reason why the first Daemos Ancestor came out of the Void? Or maybe we were created from the Void and lived here until our bodies become stable.” Adrian muttered to himself as he has nothing else to do.

Adrian managed to enter the Void once but exiting that was more of a special chance. Unlike before, he was dragged to the Void using a relic which meant that he is trapped here until he finds a way out. The fact that the God of Mischief Loki has a relic connected to the Void is already ground for him to be executed by the Daemos. Even the gods were warned to never touch the relic or any item that is related to the Void as it could harm reality.

“At the very least, the Daemos now have justification on the destruction of Asgard. I am now very sad for all of the players that chose that faction. It will be destroyed if we can take down the God King Odin though. Paradox, can you scan for any irregular rifts that suddenly open?” Adrian asked Paradox as his weapon circled around him since it was scanning the area since earlier.

“No spatial anomalies found as of the moment. If there is any spatial anomaly detected then Paradox will report it immediately.” Paradox replied in a rather monotonous robotic voice.

Adrian knew that he cannot easily create a gate that leads back to the mortal realm when he is inside the Void. He then though of a loophole which is to hitch a ride to another realm if a spatial anomaly happens in the area around him. If he could hop from to another dimension then he could easily create a gate back to the mortal realm. He thinks that finding a spatial anomaly is easier compared to creating a gate to escape the Void.

“This place is basically very different from what I imagined. The physics of this dimension is all over the place as solid could be liquid, liquid could be gas, and gas could be more solid. No wonder the Void monsters have very different looks and body functions to what we have in our universe.” Adrian stated as he moved from the area he was where he fought the Void Lukos Arachnid.

Adrian would have stayed in the area of the Void Lukos Arachnid but that place was crawling with them. Each of the Void Lukos Arachnid has a large asteroid looking home where they create caves to hide in. He tried entering another asteroid but he just met another Void Lukos Arachnid which is bigger than the one that abducted him. Fortunately for Adrian, the Void Lukos Arachnid that he newly encountered was asleep which is why he killed it in an instant.

[You cannot summon your soulbounds that do not have the ability to survive in any dimension.]

Adrian also managed to get a blocker when it comes to his soulbounds. The only one that he can summon at the moment is none other than Kenos. His other soulbounds were not yet accustomed to the energy in the Void. Adrian does not want to have soulbounds that can die permanently as the Void’s unique energy could definitely do that.

“Also, I felt stronger when I killed that second Void Lukos Arachnid. It is not because of the experience points but as if something in me got upgraded. My mental state feels better for some reason.” Adrian muttered.

“Detected the energy from the Void Lukos Arachnid entering the master. This specific energy has no records in my database and that it was not expunge because of the benefits. The master has gained mental strength increase by a slight margin.” Paradox reported which made Adrian have goosebumps because there was no numerical representation of his upgrade.

“Did the first one we killed also give the same bonus, Paradox?” Adrian asked.

“Affirmative, master. The first Void Lukos Arachnid that you have killed gave you double the mental strength compared to the second kill that you did. Paradox suggests that the master kill at least a ninety-eight Void Lukos Arachnid for a substantial growth.” Paradox reported.

“I see. If you are suggesting it then we might as well try. There are still a lot of asteroids like things here after all. We may be in an area filled with Void Lukos Arachnid which is a good farming area until we detect a spatial anomaly. Also, calculate the odds of a spatial anomaly occurring in the area while I hunt down the Void Lukos Arachnid.” Adrian commanded.

“As the master wishes. Running the calculations now.” Paradox replied.

Adrian then proceeded to change into his Twin Dagger Netheros Demon Form and raided each of the areas where the Void Lukos Arachnid could be. He started a killing spree so quick and precise that he managed to kill fifty in under an hour. He could also feel that his mastery over his own origin energy get strengthened in the process. What he did not know is that there is now a dark purplish cloud layer covering his origin energy core and it is accumulating for each of his kill on Void Monsters.

Paradox would have reported such a thing but it is focusing everything in the command that was given to it. Paradox already detected this new layer and scanned that there is no problem. The bigger problem is how his master is going to return back to the main world. Even his master’s death will not make them return as they would just respawn back into the Void as per its master’s instructions.

Paradox is not that familiar with the concepts of life and death which is why it always has Adrian to decide when it comes to that. The fact that Adrian told Paradox that they will just revive in the Void if they die meant that will really happen. Paradox knew that its master would sometimes joke about but Adrian will never joke about life and death.

“SCREEE!”

A loud screech suddenly erupted as Adrian did not expect that the next Void Lukos Arachnid den that he entered would be the queen’s den. The Void Lukos Arachnid Queen is vastly different from the normal Void Lukos Arachnid as it looked smaller. Adrian thought that the den being small would be the den of a small Void Lukos Arachnid but it was actually the resting place of the Void Lukos Arachnid Queen.

The Void Lukos Arachnid Queen also has a humanoid body under the spider head. The Void Lukos Arachnid Queen does not have an eye on its spider body but it is present in the stomach area of its humanoid body. To paint a clearer picture, the spider body is attached to a female humanoid body via the spider head. The humanoid body is also incomplete as it has no human arms that flair about as it is literally just head, body without arms, and legs.

The Void Lukos Arachnid Queen also releases sonic attacks which is what blew away Adrian. Unlike the Void Lukos Arachnid, the Void Lukos Arachnid Queen is incredibly sensitive to the area around it as it actually detected Adrian even if he was five meters away and in a stealth. The scream of the Void Lukos Arachnid Queen also woke up the other Void Lukos Arachnid. All of the Void Lukos Arachnid came out and bared their eye teeth towards Adrian.

“Their number should be about sixty or so. The fact that all of them woke up is terrifying but that does not mean I will easily surrender. Vortex!” Adrian shouted as he did not expect that his black hole would actually manifest immediately.

Adrian did not expect that a large black hole would manifest instantly and devour everything around him. When he uses Vortex, Adrian would need to create a star and then crush it with origin magic but he did not or rather was not able to do it. The black hole manifested instantly and absorbed all of the Void Lukos Arachnid that jumped towards him.

Even the webs of the Void Lukos Arachnid that stuck to his body got sucked inside of the black hole. Also, the Void Lukos Arachnid Queen looked like it was struggling to not be sucked in as well as it used all eight spear like spider legs to pin her down on the large asteroid.
