Chapter 2748: The World Serpent II

The relic that the God of Mischief Loki held is none other than the World Serpent Whistle. A divine artifact that can call upon one of his children which is also called as the World Serpent. It is a whistle that looks like a serpent coiling around a globe. He held this whistle as he headed straight towards the God of War Tyr, the God of Thunder Thor, and the Goddess of Earth Sif.

The three gods were currently in a battle with Elder Bronx and the Beast of Ogdoad was there as well. Four powerful divine beings, even if they are all injured, were making sure that Elder Bronx is pinned down to his location and cannot destroy any more structures in Asgard. They were in even standing as both sides are restricting each other but the presence of the God of Mischief Loki shook things up.

“Loki! What are you doing?!” The Goddess of Earth Sif shouted as she saw the God of Mischief Loki running towards her.

The Goddess of Earth Sif then noticed the demon tailing the God of Mischief Loki. She could not even begin to describe her frustration at the God of Mischief Loki. The fact that the God of Mischief Loki brought another Noblesse to them when one is already a difficult opponent is something that made all of them exasperated.

“Get out of here and find another place, Loki!” The Goddess of Earth Sif shouted as she is busy supporting the God of War Tyr and the God of Thunder Thor in fighting against Elder Bronx.

The God of Mischief Loki ignored all of the warnings that the Goddess of Earth Sif stated. The Goddess of Earth Sif believed that she would just need to deal with what the God of Mischief Loki brought but she saw a peculiar relic being held by the latter. The Goddess of Earth Sif was about to ask about the relic that the God of Mischief Loki held because it contained terrifying energy but she suddenly found herself stabbed in the shoulder by the latter’s poisoned dagger.

“How could you! What have you done to me?!” The Goddess of Earth Sif shouted as she swung her spear towards the God of Mischief Loki but she missed.

The sudden betrayal of the God of Mischief Loki was caught by all of those present. The God of Thunder Thor even abandoned attacking Elder Bronx as he is now headed towards the God of Mischief Loki. The God of Thunder Thor is clad in lightning as he is ready to strike down the God of Mischief Loki but the latter suddenly used the relic that he had on hand.

“All of you shall be sacrifices for my great ascension!” The God of Mischief Loki shouted as he blew a snaked shape whistle which made the ground rumble.

“You shall be the first sacrifice for my benefit.” The God of Mischief Loki muttered after blowing the World Serpent Whistle.

The Goddess of Earth Sif did not know what the God of Mischief Loki is saying but the ground below her shook. Before the God of Thunder Thor could reach the God of Mischief Loki, the ground beneath the Goddess of Earth Sif erupted as a large serpent came out of it. The God of Thunder Thor is knocked back by the shockwave of the eruption created by the World Serpent Jormungandr.

[Beware of its unending hunger that could devour even the world itself.]

The World Serpent Jormungandr is one of the children of the God of Mischief Loki. It is the second child of the God of Mischief Loki from Angrboda. The World Serpent Jormungandr is quite groggy at the moment and could not differentiate friend from foe. The World Serpent Jormungandr could smell its poison on the being that it sent up in the sky though. This means that this is the prey that its father has prepared for its awakening.

The Goddess of Earth Sif is sent flying up in the sky due to being slammed upwards by the World Serpent Jormungandr. The Goddess of Earth Sif thought that she would be able to escape but the poison in her body paralyzed her. She could not move her body and realized that the jaws of the World Serpent Jormungandr opened as she fell.

“CURSE YOU! TRAITOROUS CLOWN!” The Goddess of Earth Sif shouted in her last desperate attempt as the World Serpent Jormungandr swallowed her with a crunch.

[The World Serpent Jormungandr has become more powerful and has awoken from its groggy state.]

[Some of the power absorbed by the World Serpent Jormungandr from the Goddess of Earth Sif has been transferred to the God of Mischief Loki.]

“This is it! I can now use this divine energy to create another Trickster’s Grimoire! I can free myself from the shackles of fate once again.” The God of Mischief Loki thought to himself as he now saw his former allies as nourishment and a way for him to be free from the influence of the Norns.

“WRAAGGHHHHHHH!” The God of Thunder Thor screamed at the top of his lungs as his despair reached the peak.

The entirety of Asgard is suddenly enveloped in a magical storm as the God of Thunder Thor started to burn his own soul to become a god that reached the strength of a High God. The God of Mischief Loki shivered as the God of Thunder Thor became enraged as he might become a target for his anger. As if fate is playing tricks on the God of Mischief Loki, the God of Thunder Thor slammed himself on the World Serpent Jormungandr.
