Reincarnated Hero System

Chapter 849 - 849: Deities and Race Rulers

“So, Alvey took his mother’s name.”

“Yes. Not long after he joined the military under that name, the story of how his original Household had kicked out their golden goose quickly spread across Demon Society.

As our Military is Meritocratic, he did not find any issues when advancing in rank, and due to his ‘Irregular’ nature which only manifested when he was 12—over ten years after he’d been expelled—Alvey could easily dominate anyone in the same generation and quickly became his generation’s most outstanding member.

He was in the same batch as Jack (McEnda III) and they became friends, so the Demon Rulers had their eyes on him. This gave him more opportunities to shine and although he did not disclose how, he was able to evolve himself to become the ‘Greater Demon’ that he is now, increasing his already high base power.”

Just like with other Irregulars, Evan could instantly sense that Alvey was one without needing an appraisal. Alvey’s transformation into a Greater Demon had only amplified his already nonstandard power, much like how Evan’s own power had surged upon evolving into a Draconic Human.

Sigesi wrapped up her explanation with Alvey’s achievements of becoming a Demon General and conquering two High-Level Worlds before turning 50— something you wouldn’t see even once in a blue moon.

On a side note, Alvey was currently 46.

“Aramis is his first Prime World job and he has brought results that have impressed the Their Excellencies.”

After saying that, Sigesi glanced down at the paperwork she was handling, and the more she looked at them, the more she saw something ‘off’.

“I guess it is strange that Gledea is only half-conquered…”

She muttered this under her breath and Arthur, who heard her laughed and spoke.

“You’re only just realising that Alvey is up to something? I mean, think about it. He and McEnda took on Guwos and Rhigor before Barron and Sylvan got here.

Then he orchestrated the plan that took down the Triton’s Ark in just a single day, yet somehow, he’s still only halfway into Gledea. It’s suspicious.”

Arthur mentioned things that happened before Evan arrived on Aramis, like the “Triton’s Ark”, for example.

This formidable creation was one of the Aramisians’ greatest magi-technological marvels—a mega-floating island fortress, spanning about 100,000 square kilometres, dedicated to seeking and destroying Demon Colonies across the Umhiz Ocean.

The threat level of the Triton’s Ark was so significant that the Commander in Chief of the Demon Forces on Aramis assigned two of the Four-Star Generals to handle it: Alvey Sargon and Sylvan Thorneheart. Demon Naval Admiral Barron Agriker was also enlisted to assist, given that the Ark posed a greater threat to him than to the land-based generals.

Its mere existence had effectively prevented the Demons from establishing a foothold on the Continent of Zefesh, located across the Umhiz Ocean from Gledea.

Alvey, Arthur, Barron, and Sylvan—the four were the major players in taking the Ark down and enabling the Demons to make landfall on Zefesh.

However, the main plans were concocted by Alvey alone.

“If he could devise a plan to take down the Triton’s Ark in a day, why hasn’t he taken full control of Gledea yet?”

Sigesi fell silent at Arthur’s question. She thought of Alvey’s circumstances and his goal to gain as many achievements as possible to gain an Upper-Class Noble Rank that trumped his paternal family’s—something awarded to the most outstanding member of each generation.

Immediately, she realised the reason why the invasion of Gledea seemed slow—Alvey was stalling on purpose. Turning to Evan, who was silently observing, Sigesi said.

“Forget everything you just heard.”

“Um…I have a resistance against memory alteration so that might be impossible.”

Sigesi narrowed her eyes at his response, but Evan shifted the topic to show he wasn’t interested in Alvey’s schemes.

“Leaving aside the things I don’t fully understand, I’ve noticed there are three forms of ranking: Nobility, Military, and Hierarchical.”

“…yes, there are three.”

She responded after a short pause, before falling silent. Evan arched his brow and gestured for her to continue, and only then did she resume speaking.

“Nobility oversees Governance, Diplomacy, and Politics. Military rankings oversee Warfare and Law Enforcement. Hierarchical Rankings reflect individual raw power and abilities.”

Gozon had managed to integrate these three ranking systems effectively. As an aside, Hierarchical ranking applied not only to demons but also to other races like gods and angels.

“So, if I’m a Mid-Rank Demon but my military rank somehow surpasses a High-Rank Demon’s, I can order them?”

“Within a military setting, yes. Outside it, don’t dare try that.”

Evan nodded, understanding that Gozon’s society was more complex than he had initially realized.

“I’ve heard ‘Four-Star General’ mentioned several times. Could you explain that?”

“It’s straightforward. The General Ranks are ‘Brigadier’, ‘Major’, ‘Lieutenant’, and ‘Full General’, commonly just called ‘General’. Each rank is denoted by 1, 2, 3, or 4 stars. On each Battlefront World, there are only four Generals with Four Stars.”

As she stated, it was rather simple. Evan had seen the four stars on Alvey and McEnda’s uniforms, and from her words, there were two other such Generals.

As for the ‘Battlefront World’ term, that referred to worlds Gozon was actively attempting to conquer through warfare.

“What about the Hierarchal ranks?”

This was the one that had Evan the most confused. He’d appraised Alvey and McEnda, and despite being Transcendents, the Rank on their status was not what he expected to see.

On Alvey’s status, the titles tab looked something like this:

|Titles- Four-Star Demon General, High-Rank Demon, Irregular, Demon of Light, Dark Child of Light, Singularity, He who Peruses the Doctrine of Light, Aramis’ Nightmare, Premier of South Eastern Gledea, Dragon Slayer, Conqueror of Worlds… [Tap to Display More] |

As far as Evan knew, Transcendents were ‘Peak Rank Demons’ and some Sovereigns could even attain that status. Roselia and the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins were examples.

Levels 0-299 for ‘Low-Rank’, 300-699 for ‘Mid-Rank’, 700-899 for ‘High-Rank’, and 900-1000 for ‘Peak-Rank’—this was the Hierarchal Ranking Evan knew of.

However, it appeared that the current era had different classifications.

“Levels 0-99 are ‘Unranked’, 100-699 are ‘Low-Rank’, 700-899 are ‘Mid-Rank’, and 900-1000 are ‘High-Rank.”

It became clear that Gozon had undergone a significant rank revision in the future. This hierarchy was different from the one Evan knew.

“Then what about Peak-Ranks?”

“Peak-Ranks are Deity Levels 1-100.”

“…”

Evan went silent when he heard Sigesi’s reply. The disparity in strength between Gozon of the 50th and 51st General Calendars was evident.

While the 51st had Transcendents as their Peak Ranks, the 50th had Deities. Higher Existences! Evan knew that the Gozon attacking Aidos in the future was weaker, but it wasn’t something he could truly understand until he knew how powerful they were in their heyday.

“So, after reaching Level 1000, one’s level becomes ‘Deity level’, huh?”

“If you succeed in exuviating, then yes.”

Arthur responded to Evan’s query, before raising his gaze from his console and looking at Evan as he asked.

“You know the Deity Realms, right?”

“No, I do not.”

Evan knew that Deity Levels followed Transcendence, but from what he heard yesterday, it seemed that there were Tiers to this Level.

“Oh, I assumed it was common knowledge.

Anyway, the Deity Realm is split into four parts.

Half-Deity is the first, and as the name implies, although you’re a Higher-Existence, you’re still just Half a Deity.

Where I come from, they call it the ‘Beginner Higher-Existence’ Realm.

After that, you become an actual Deity when you enter the Low-Tier Deity Realm. Then there’s the Mid-Tier and High-Tier after it.”

Arthur’s explanation was followed by Sigesi, who elaborated on the stats associated with these tiers.

“Your Stats as a Deity become ‘EX’. Most people call it ‘Exponential X’ because one’s power increases exponentially compared to the ‘X3’ stats of a Transcendent.

Just like with the Legendary, Sovereign and Transcendent Realms, the stats for the Deity Realms were EX, EX1, EX2 and EX3.”

Sigesi explained this to Evan and hearing it, the Rogue Hero wondered which of these Deity Tiers future Artemisia was in.

‘Probably High-Tier…’

“The Demon Kings-“

“-are all High-Tiers.”

Sigesi interjected before Evan could even completely vocalize the question and a moment later, she continued.

“It is impossible to become a ‘Race King’ if one is not a High-Tier Deity.”

Again, she mentioned something Evan only had surface-level knowledge about, and he asked her to delve deeper into this topic.

“Explain this whole ‘Race King’ thing, please.”

Though she was surprised he wasn’t aware, she didn’t comment on it and simply began explaining.

“The Race King title is one of the titles in the ‘Race Ruler’ system.

Each ‘Race Ruler’ is a member of the Universe’s Pantheon—the set of deities that are responsible for ruling and maintaining vital aspects of the Universe—and they possess a ‘Ruler Authority’.

The requirements to be a Race Ruler are as follows:

1) Being a Deity

2) Being a member of the Pantheon

3) Lording over Important ‘Territories’, controlling vital Realms and Dimensions.

4) Ruling over trillions of members of your race across a myriad of planets.

5) Have enough Universal Influence to be able to easily cause waves on the Interstellar Stage with even the littlest actions.”

Fulfilment of these criteria allows one to attain one of three Race Ruler titles based on their Deity Realm tier: ‘Lord’, ‘King’ or ‘Emperor’.

Low and Mid-Tier Deities were Lords, while High-Tier Deities were Kings.

The ‘Ruler Authorities’ confer not only enhanced power but also the limited ability to command race members and provide benefits to those under their rule.

For instance, Faulin’s display of power, where he designated the FCDs as ‘Celestials fighting on behalf of a Celestial King’. This granted them a significant power boost that increased the difficulty of the fight against them by several levels.

All Race Kings and Queens could do this.

One crucial detail is that these titles differ from feudal or aristocratic ones; they cannot be inherited. Being the child of a Race Ruler does not guarantee that one will also become one.

Hearing this detail, Evan thought of the future Alvey, who had somehow managed to bypass this rule and pass his title to his son.
